I was thinking that if RDO added a rancher role, they could add the bullwhip as a new weapon/lasso like tool. You can make the cracking sound to get the cows moving, and then you could use the whips on people either to inflict some damage, or wrap around the personβs body like a lasso. Instead of the person falling to the ground, they could stand upright and you reel yourself towards them. Iβm just putting this out there, I think bullwhips are cool and if I didnβt live in the city I would totally want one.
Hello, I'm Brazilian and new to whip making and I'm seen a lot o videos on the subject from a lot of different people, and i have realized that there are many ways of doing it and that I should never use electrical tape, however here in Brazil I cant find every material that I see people using like artificial sinew or hockey tape.
I would like to begin making a 6ft paracord bullwhip. So, here are some of my questions: What are the easiest ways to do my fist bullwhip (not necessarily the fastest cause I'm very patient) but some methods that are harder to screw up. Do I used single belly or more? with or without the steel BB core? What is the deal with electrical tape? Is hockey tape any different from athletic tape or are they exchangeable?
I not very familiar with the technical terms but I'm here to learn.
Thanks in advance.

Just an epiphany idea for a utility/melee item.
A bullwhip that acts like the grabbity hands, so we can steal holstered or held sosig firearms/melee/grenades from a short distance, off the floor and/or causally whip it at a sosig to cause stun damage/temp KO them to the floor.
I bet this'd be noped just like free-hanging machine gun belts, but dangit, id love to larp as Indiana Jones in a TAH scenario....
Navigate the temple maze, avoid the savages/sosiges, steal the relic, leg it from the temple, escape from the sosige horde, give the relic to the museum, etc
I just had a dream last night about how I am a demigod and my choice of weapon is a whip. Suddenly I wanna learn it. Let's get started with what kind of material should I be looking and can I use the eskrima/arnis techniques I learned in college?
Has the recent panic buying caused a bullwhip effect in the Retail Supply Chain especially the toilet paper industry, now that the sales have somewhat stabilized?
Anyone have something more than what Google knows? (Apparently nothing).
So it's my first time making a whip,
I'm on the last part which is a diamond plaid.
But I'm having a problem where the last plaid is looking good from the front but when I turn it around it's just a jumbled mess.
https://youtu.be/cXuBs_wYsnI?t=2998 I'm using this video as a guide.
Am I doing something wrong, missing a step or something third?

I'm wanting to get a new whip but I'm not sure if I should get a stockwhip or bullwhip, I currently have a stockwhip and have only ever used a stockwhip, but I'm curious to know how different a bullwhip feels and handles to a stock whip, I've never been able to use a bullwhip because no places I've been have any bullwhips. Is one better for target practice, for quicker cracks and agility, multiple cracking etc? Just not sure if I should get what I know or potentially get something better but run the risk on buying it blindly. Thanks!
I recently started making bullwhips. Paracord mainly. 550 is really nice to work with, although a pain in the ass to gut. I wondered what would happen if I used 1100 paracord to make a bullwhip with 2 bellies and a 16 plait overlay.
I was totally successful! I made an 8' bullwhip with a 3' fall and a 16 strand nylon popper, loaded with 2.5 mm beading chain. It is very. Very. Very heavy. But it works! It cracks effortlessly! It feels like I'm swinging a full metal shovel around when using it. I tried to upload a photo, but the reddit app was... Being stupid.
I've got a leather "twist release" metal knob holster & a leather single button release holster (similar to the Dr Jones version). No matter how tight I arrange either to hold a bullwhip, the whip slips out.
How am I to fix this?
I'm really fascinated with the bullwhip used in Kingsman the Golden Circle. But nobody actually makes the prop! I understand it's mainly CGI, but it's not like it's a completely impossible science. I'm literally looking for a bullwhip that is a Hilt, that spits the bullwhip out and then retracts it when you're done using it. It doesn't have to have electricity flowing through it or some crap like that. is there any chance that anybody who is fascinated with bullwhip's has actually come across something that is as close to the prop as possible? or anything in the likeness where it is literally a handle of a bullwhip, that contains the whip within itself.... which can be activated to be released up to 8 feet in length, and easily be retracted all the way back into the hilt with the push of a button?
thanks in advance for any information on this.
Does anyone want to help me get my hands on a bullwhip kelp? Some that are still fresh. I intend to pickle them.

Me (44/m/dom) and my wife (41/f/sub) just talked about bullwhips and how to use them on a slave. We both are pretty thrilled by the thought of me whipping her some day but we are pretty aware of the fact that using a bullwhip requires some special knowledge and practising since they are not so easy to control. Me and my wife are long-time experienced in BDSM and most spanking techniques but we both see bullwhips with a lot of respect. So I thought I'd ask here for some advice on where and how to start and perhaps some literature/homepages for reading. And if anyone of you knows of a workshop or seminar to learn how to use a bullwhip in BDSM somewhere in southern Germany.
