At my marketing agency, we're working on a hotel brand that uses local plants as a design motif. My boss has labeled this part of a wild lupine as the "bract" but, based on my limited research, I disagree.

Help needed please! Is this a seed/banana/pollen sack or just an underdeveloped calyx/bract? It has no trichomes on it unlike the surrounding bud, but it also has 2-3 brown pistils shooting out. This node is present on two plants (same strain) but not on the third.. Plants are at 31 days flower.
