Has anyone here grown borage? Did it flower in its first year?
I've read that it flowers in its first year but may not flower until its second year. Have you grown borage and if so did it flower in its first year?

Things are doing much better in the smaller, mylar wrapped tent. Lettuce with auto drip irrigation, tomatoes from the summer garden borage and 4 of the heat tolerant pea plants. :) The same light is concentrated on 1/3 the area.

[Product question] Borage oil substitute?
I've been using borage oil on and off for a while now, and I found that it greatly decreases inflammation around my many cysts and whiteheads.
Been going through a major maskne flare-up, and adding borage oil to my routine (will detail in comments) seems to make my blemishes much less angry. However, the smell is ABSOLUTELY VILE. Someone on here described it as rancid bacon fat, and I couldn't agree more. The smell also seems to linger on my skin for hours and hours.
So, what other oil would have similar anti-inflammatory properties, without the offending scent?

What to do with Borage?
I know the flowers are edible, and it's great for pollinators, but does anyone have any uses for the leaves? Maybe recipes that feature borage? Ways you can use it otherwise? Mostly all I read about is that the leaves are too hairy to really bother with.
