Basically, when I was a teenager I didn't have much money even though my parents are well off their stingy. My friend's (let's call her J) parents had more money so she had more Gamecube games than me and she had a big brother with more disposable income. One day she leant me her Donkey Konga bongos and game, we remained friends and the bongos remained at my house until I hit 18 and wanted to go clubbing and discovered CEX (a popular trade in-store in Britain) it was before the switch when GameCube games were rising in value and I got a decent amount maybe 40 pounds so I could go out clubbing and get drunk. I assumed she had forgotten the bongos existed.
10 years later
I'm now engaged and one of my fiance's favourite things to do is to sneak up behind me and pat my butt in time to the Donkey Konga theme tune (don-key kon-ga). He finds this so entertaining that he got me an old set of DK bongos as a joke gift for Christmas, they are yellow and look like he found them in a bin, he only paid 3 pounds for them. I told my other friend (E) by accident about the bongos when I was high and shes a liability I know shes going to tell J as shes permanently high. So I have to tell J but I just don't think the bongos are that big of a deal. I could give her the dirty bongos my fiance got me as an apology but I don't know if she would really care. I don't really think that makes me an asshole? Ever since our friendship circle started talking about bongos again whenever the subject comes up, J says something along the lines of; "I wonder what happened to my DK bongos". She could already know tbh. I don't know if I am making a mountain out of a molehill or not. AITA?
For those of you that donโt know, Bongo is the dog that Richard leaves outside both in the middle of winter and during the brutal South Carolina summer heat. Bongo stays in his small fenced in backyard area with little interaction with anyone.
One of Richardโs fans recently called animal control on Richard and it didnโt work. However Richard said โI even showed the officer Bongoโ, indicating that even Richard knows he treats Bongo worse than his other animals.
Do not call animal control or the police on Richard as we want to respect his peace, but we should encourage Richard to let Bongo inside.
