I don't drink simply because I don't enjoy alcohol. However, I still enjoy going to bars to socialize with friends. If I am clearly just drinking water, I am always inundated with questions about why I'm not drinking. People get very nervous drinking around a sober person. I learned this trick from a friend who is a recovering alcoholic and it has made my social life much more enjoyable! I typically ask for a seltzer with a shot of grenadine. A lot of times the bartender won't even charge you, which is another nice benefit. But remember to tip them regardless!
Edit: but don't go to bars or social events during pandemic
Edit 2: I have gotten the comment many times that you shouldn't be friends with people who judge you for not drinking or pressure you to drink. I 100% AGREE. **However, this is really a problem in large social circles with acquaintances, at family events such as weddings, and especially at work functions. This tip is just a way to avoid being harassed about why you're

The only catch was to actually go to college. My sister was the party animal and she got pregnant at 18 , my parents took care of everything , she still live with us with no father in picture.
I wanted to start looking for collleges now to be better prepared but turns i have no money left, I'm literally sobbing while writing this my parents took my entire money and gave it to my sister.
I raised this issue on Christmas and I'm being blamed for ruining Christmas and not loving my niece or my sister. I told them yes i really hate each and everyone of them. I feel like an asshole for that.
My parents have offered 10k in exchange to calm me down but that amount was literally 80k they are now telling me that I'm greedy. Please reddit help me ? Am i really the asshole ? Should i take what they are offering me Right now because according to

I my self don't play video games or know anything about twitch so I just said sorry and I sympathized. then I got the idea to look into it and see if maybe I can find a way to support him. I created a twitch account and started watching all of live stream and even commented a coupled of times. omg this made him so happy!! he came running into the room to tell me all about it. he has no idea its me. he now gets so excited to play and stream because he believes that even though he only has one person watching, that is one person that believes in him. COVID has been really hard on all of us and this is the first time that I have seen him this excited in like a longggg time. now I feel like there is no way I can tell him its me.
ugh I feel awful, I had good intentions and now I feel like I am hiding something from him and I am scared that he will be so disappointed to find o

I said nothing, if I couldnβt get a PS5, then donβt bother with anything else. Thatβs the only thing I wanted. I may have been a little to insistent about it. Come Christmas morning thereβs nothing for me but my favorite candy and a winter coat. I didnβt understand and asked why I only got candy and a coat. My dad said I told them I didnβt want anything else if they couldnβt get me a PS5, so they didnβt get me anything except the coat because I need it and my mom added the candy. I got upset and asked why they wouldnβt have at least tried to get me something I might want.
My dad said because I was becoming a spoiled brat. I disagreed but my dad said I obviously donβt hear how I talk to people. That Iβm coming across more and more bratty and that Iβm not owed anything. Lots of people wanted PS5s or Xboxβs and a lot of them didnβt get it. He said he cou

During the interview with the hiring manager, she asked me if I was married and I panicked and I said yes (stupid I know).
The hiring manager probed and I said she was in the banking industry and that her parents even lived right next to my new workplace.
Ultimately I felt this contributed to me getting an edge in the job interview to a small extent.
Now Iβm worried about the implications of this. Beyond getting a passable wedding ring how do I deal with the Christmas parties, happy hours and other office related activities that may involve spouses?
TL;DR - Iβm an idiot. Please help me.
I was watching 90 day fiancΓ© the other day, and it got me thinking about how everyone usually feels sorry for the dudes getting scammed for money or a visa. But the thing is, most of these guys are using the women just as much as the women are using them. They either want their youth, beauty, big fake tits, or they have a weird fetish for the ethnicity of the woman. Same goes for women who do the same (like Danielle and Mohammed) though they arenβt shown as often. She couldβve easily found some wonky eyed dude who would love her in the states but she went for MoeMoe and was surprised when she got scammed. Point is, gold diggers and the people who date them deserve each other 99% of the time becuase theyβre both shitty people taking advantage of one another.
Edit; thanks everyone! If another person says Itβs none of my business please keep in mind these people are on a reality show and choose to broadcast their relationship to the world, so itβs public business now.

I get sick of seeing the main/good characters befriend the good end of the stick because of how unrealistic it can be. I want too see something more earth shattering and things we all wouldnβt expect to see that we can RELATE TOO
Like lets say (FOR EXAMPLE) itβs an action movie about a girl whose trying to right the wrongs from her past, but to do so she has to re-visit this guy from her childhood she was friends with. That guy is a gang leader BUT needs her to do a job for him in return for HER wanting him to pay off the debt sheβs in. The girl eventually finds her love interest along the way, but her childhood gang leader friend doesnβt want to see her go and live a happy life once he pays off her debt. SOooOOoo he kills her love interest right when the both of them (the main character girl and her love interest) build this deep/good relationship.
And I donβ

There were rumors of infidelity based on ambiguous Instagram Stories from Iggy, but it seems like Iggy wanted to bring everything to light right as Whole Lotta Red was set to drop. She tweeted the following:
Too bad you got an album out but canβt even come to Christmas with your own son.
[This man had a whole family vacation to planned 48hrs ago & I hope this message gets to you girl. Although you h

At the checkout, they asked for ID. This was odd because they have a Challenge 25 policy in the UK, and I look far older than 25. As I got my license out the checkout assistant said, βNot your ID, Sir, but hersβ in reference to my daughter. I was surprised and said sheβs 14, Iβm her dad and this is just family shopping. Still, the checkout person refused to make the sale because my daughter was underage.
At this point I asked to speak to her manager, because I figure she might be new and probably erring on the side of caution. She looked very young herself, probably still in school, so I figured she didnβt want to take any risks, but a manager would probably know better.
However, even her supervisor reiterated they couldnβt sell me the alcohol without my daughter having proof of being over 18. I asked how would

My husbandβs brother (my BIL) and his two kids (13/m and 8/m) were staying with us for christmas. Theyβve had a rough year because his wife died in March. The kids are a handful because of it, but Iβve been trying to be gracious. Yesterday was my last straw, and I need a gut check for if I overreacted.
I got home from work yesterday and discovered the ground floor toilet is cracked and leaking water. Itβs a mess and after shutting off the water, I ran upstairs to get extra towels and discover the upstairs toilet is cracked and leaking too. At this point Iβm pissed. I go to the basement and, yup, the basement toilet is even worse.
I ran into the kids on my way up with extra towels and asked wtf they did to the toilets. The oldest said βmaybe it was the boiling water bandits.β I said that makes no sense and we get into an argument. BIL came along to ask what was wrong. He was taking a nap. The kids start saying the boiling water bandits did it. As weβre arguing, it comes out the k
