Hello /r/mattress,
My wife and I are in the market for a high end sheet set for our Purple 4 that we purchased a few years back.
So far, we're considering
I had some guests over who were reluctant to use my white towels and linens because of their makeup. I told them that was all I had available and I would remove the stains. However, after washing, the stains look untouched.
I have done my research but a lot of people say "use bleach and vinegar" and it's extremely vague. Like HOW do I use the bleach and vinegar? Do I soak it in a bucket? How many parts water, how many parts bleach, how many parts vinegar?
I'm just so lost right now. I have an upcoming guest in a couple of days and I can't seem to get it out. I have been soaking my towels in cold water. But I know there's a way to get it out. I bought whites in case of bleaching.
I just really need someone to help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.
Hey guys, I've been digging around Reddit recently trying to find a BIFL set of bed sheets, but I've come to a crossroad.
I have a few options from thecompanystore.com's sale going on, and I can't decide which of these sheets would be more comfortable as a relatively hot sleeper, and which will last longer. I want something durable, but also something comfortable.
I've heard some say percale is rougher but good for hot sleepers, whereas sateen is softer but holds heat more, and then linen was supposedly the best of both worlds. Price isn't a problem, but I'd prefer to hover around ~$200.
I have a full size bed that I often share with a S/O.
Which do you guys recommend?
Relaxed Linen, Supimaยฎ Cotton Sateen, or Supimaยฎ Cotton Percale
I have 3 flanell bed linen and 1 crepe cotton bed linen. The flanell ones I'm making burp rags and nursing pads from (because of their ability to absorb well), but the crepe cotton one I'm running out of ideas, and I don't wont to just throw it away and then think of something I could've used it for ๐
I don't have any pets, but I'm having a kid soon. Do any of you have some clever ideas on what to do with the cotton crepe bed linen? ๐
Because of iso I now spend so much time in my bed / bedroom itโs inspired me to upgrade my linen. Doona cover, sheets, the works. Does anyone know of any Australian designers selling interesting bed linen online? I donโt mind investing in quality pieces especially when theyโre homegrown.
As an example, I really like this one from castle. I may go with that and wait until July if nothing else suits.
Interested in having a colourful (leaning blue) doona cover with colour blocked sheets.
Apologies if this is the totally wrong place for this. Just wanted some local advice and wasnโt sure where else to post!
I just realized how much of a difference this makes, even though i washed them at least once every two weeks already previous to my aha-moment a few days ago.
Hello, I'm looking for some type/kind of bed lining that looks kinda "futuristic". It was featured in episode 2 of Westworld Season 3 (that's where I got the screenshot from) and looks like "inverted squared bubbles" in a pattern across the whole sheet. Seems to be very comfy if it is made out of cotton.
Sadly I can't find anything even close to that. Is there any keyword for that type of material/bed linen?

Any help/info is appreciate.
I recently bought a bedding set from this company after researching the benefits of the linen sheet and decided to invest in one. This company offers relatively reasonable prices($275 for a duvet cover, fitted sheet & set of pillowcases) on their linen products with a good amount of color choices so I went with it. They advertise their linen products to be "buttery soft" with basically high-quality everything. I knew linen is not soft compared to cotton or satin but thought after a few washes it would be at least a bit softer. Not true for my case. I followed instructions on how to soften linen bedding religiously and after 3 washes, it seems to be getting rougher. I cannot sleep on it because it feels I'm rubbing my skin against sandpaper. The quality of their product besides the roughness of the linen is also questionable. I know piling is normal in the beginning and so is attracting dust for linen, but the stitches and threads are coming off crazy even being washed in the gentlest cycle. The stitches on the duvet cover are now shrinking from coming off, jeopardizing the shape and structure of the cover. I wouldn't be THIS puzzled with my purchase if the linen wasn't so rough to the point that I can no longer use it.
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the particular color dye(I got deep plum) or that I just made a shitty choice in getting linen bedding from this company. Has anyone experienced the same thing?
I'm obviously a major noob and would appreciate any inputs on how linen bedding works for everyone else.
โOh, itโs just Egyptian cotton.โ I responded.
And he laughed at me.
Apparently Egyptian cotton is a bigger deal than I thought.
Hello!
We have a king bed and currently use a fitted sheet and a king size duvet with a duvet cover.
We have four large dogs, Iโve got asthma and bad allergies. This set up is not conducive to frequent washings. The duvet canโt even be washed in the washer so it gets washed quarterly in our bathtub.
I would like a set up that lets me make a neat bed every day but letโs me wash everything as frequently as needed, especially any blankets or quilts even though they are king size.
Another challenge is color, even with weekly washing, white linens are not an option. So even something like a light duvet would need a cover, and letโs face it, everyone would rather sleep on the floor than deal with a duvet cover.
Thank you in advance!
So I found two bed bugs on my bed, and it looks like they are a day old based on that info graph pinned to this subreddit. I have already bagged all my bed linens and will be washing and drying them on high heat, and have encased my mattress in a mattress wrap, and I have also sprayed Gypsum bed bug spray on my boxspring. I ordered a few bottles of Cimexa and will be using it throughout my bedroom after a seriously decluttering.
Regarding all of my clothes and linens, should I be bagging my clothes as soon as they get out of the dryer instead of putting them in my dresser like usual? I have only found a couple bb's and couldn't find anymore when flipping my mattress and box spring. Is it recommended to just keep all my clothes completely enclosed in bags, or is that not really necessary?
And if there's any more advice you have in this vein I would really appreciate any.
I can't even sleep in brand new bed linen without washing it first......
What sort of cunt would get into a bed in the middle of a town centre?
"That crack head looks well rested, should we try this strangely placed bed?"
Spent the last half hour looking with no luck. I bought this daybed the other day really want to use the linen in their online image. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's what I'm looking for
Iโve remembered an interesting name of a girl I went to school with:
Dimity
I looked it up and Behind the Name says itโs โA name given to a type of lightweight sheer cotton fabric used for bed upholstery and curtains, used as a female given name mainly in the United Kingdom and Australiaโ
Her sister was named - Sheridan
Even if he were to reveal the more-than-adequate compensation Winston & Marcellus had given them in exchange without giving away the reason, it's hard to see Bonnie (as she's described) just letting such a mystery go without a solid explanation.
Anyone knows the name of items that I need to get the exact example configuration from the website ?

Hi reddit,
TL:DR - girlfriend cheated on me while I was away for work for 2 months, I am trying to get past it but recently found out it was in her bed at her house. AITA for telling her I wonโt stay over until she gets a new bed?
So around 6 months ago I had to do a site commissioning project where I was overseas for 2 months. While I was away my girlfriend slept with another man after a night out partying. She called me and told me a couple of days later when I was within mobile phone range and I was devastated. I said to her Iโd talk about it when I got home but that I could forgive her.
When I got home I decided to forgive her and I didnโt really want any details besides knowing who it was and why she did it. Iโll spare those details as they arenโt important to the story.
Around 2 weeks ago I got this crushing feeling while laying in her bed while staying at her place and had to know where it happened. And to my surprise she brought him back to her house and had sex in her bed, the bed I was currently laying in. We had a huge fight and at this point I said I would not stay at her house again until she got a new bed and linen as I donโt want a constant reminder of what had happened every time I try and sleep. The thought of laying in the bed she cheated on me in disgusts me.
Since then Iโve been staying strong to my word and havenโt even been to her house, Now she is saying Iโm an asshole because I wonโt stay at her house and she canโt afford to get a new bed or linen. I know most of you will say break up but we have been together 4 years and everything has been amazing. We were looking to move in together when I got back from this trip but I signed a 6 month lease on an apartment myself due to the situation I found myself in when I got back.
So reddit, AITA for making my girlfriend buy a new bed so Iโll stay at her house?
I'm putting off changing my bedlinen till Christmas eve so I'll have a fresh bed for Santy..
I usually turn to Marshall's or TJ Maxx for bedding, but I'm looking for specific cooling sheets that will last and look nice, so percale or linen it is. Sticker price on these items is surprising!! $300 for linens?? Holy F. On the lookout for Black Friday and cyber Monday discounts.
Hi Everyone,
I have been running a couple Airbnb properties in Dallas and Austin, we have been doing this for the past 3-4 yrs. During this period we have gone through many bed linen brands to finally settle on the Costco 300 TC (thread count) Bedding sets for all our properties. these run from 49.99 to 39.99 depending on sale or notโฆ
anywayโฆ me and wife were talking and we thought maybe we can do a group buy with other hosts so we can save on bedding costsโฆ
we just wanted to reach out and see if there is interest by other hosts to find ways to reduce cost of bed sheets. we know we go through a lot of them and it can easily add up.
please feel free to ask questions and give us your thoughts and inputsโฆ
thank you for reading ๐ท
Is there a certain set of bed sheets which makes you/SO/both particularly horny or the contrary?
puts pillowcases on pillows
puts sheet on bed
lays down on bed to catch breath
accidentally falls asleep for 2 hours
wakes up
finishes making bed
Well, not doing that again for a while ๐
There seems to be not a lot of variety or product differentiation in bedding available in Canada. Do Canadians only prefer dull colours like whites and greys for their bedding? Why is there very little variety in bedsheets and more in duvet covers? Why is there such a dearth of prints, patterns and more colours in bedding?
Whatโs yours?

I've heard about the convenience of having your bedding delivered to you when you move in, but is it really worth it to spend ~$300 for it? Can and should I just go shopping for some of my own sheets?
