Sup Bay Street,
Consider yourself lucky if you are reading this. Consider it the word of God. I actually live on Bay Street. South of Bloor too. I know Finance. Look at my post history. I GET IT RIGHT.
Well, here's my DD on LEAF.TO, the next rocketship and your ticket out of a shit job and shit life.
They're the new kid on the block. Mobile Game developer with reach into some great brands, just check out the titles they own the first day they launched on the TSX. Oh, and a suite of in-house games.
For those that don't know, the free to play mobile gaming market is the best growth market. "The total hours spent on games continues to grow nearly 8-10% year-over-year. According to App Annie data, by 2020, mobile ad spending will cross USD 240 billion globally." Source.
1. Positive cash flow: The point of Leaf is to consolidate gaming developers under one brand to cut overhead costs to bring in profit.
"The ability to have a certain size and scale provides a definitive … competitive advantage for you in the space. And that's everything from improved costing due to scale across everything from servers to UA [user acquisition] to the ability to draw talent,” Leaf Mobile CEO Darcy Taylor"
One brand can attract talent: The free to play mobile gaming market is growing, but not fast enough to pull C-suite executives out of their jobs at SHOP or ATVI. Putting a ton of game developers under one roof makes the move easy, less risky on the individual and adds huge value. If you know the gaming world, you know there is talent here. To be clear, the plan of this company is to pull in TONS of small free to play gaming studios, let them operate individually while supporting and raising their AUM. Classic.
Insider buying: Imagine getting hundreds of thousands of shares for merging your company with Leaf Mobile, and then adding $200,000 out of your own pocket! These directors know the market's prime and the value of the company is massive. Keep your eye on the smart money: [https://www.sedi.ca/sedi/SVTItdController?locale=en_CA
Long story short, my husband has been waiting on his paycheck to show up and was beginning to worry that it may come a few days later than expected. Wrote a quick affirmation on a bay leaf ("Blank's paycheck will come in on Wednesday the 13th, in the afternoon.") and burned it. Within 15 minutes, he had received an email letting him know that his check had been deposited into his account. I often get so caught up in planning out elaborate spells with a specific number of carefully chosen herbs, candles in a certain color, burning the perfect blend of incense, making sure the moon is in the right phase, writing and rewriting petitions until I get the wording just right, that I completely lose sight of exactly what it is that I'm doing. I am focusing my intention and sending it out into the universe. I don't always need fancy tools to make my spells work, and sometimes it works even better to stick to the simple things.
What does it mean if I have to re-light a bay leaf a few times for it to burn completely? Does it mean the spell won't work/wish won't come true?
Some recipes always call for a bay leaf. My mom's spaghetti sauce, soups, curries, etc.
I always thought they had no flavor but a few years back it was proven to me. My friend was making some cajun soup and, being an inexperienced cook, she misunderstood the instructions to add "a bay leaf" and instead she added a whole damn package of bay leaves.
All of us noticed immediately as we were picking leaves out of every other bite, but here's the crazy thing even after accidentally adding a whole pack of bay leaves, the flavor of her soup was entirely unaffected.
If I added 20x the salt, or 20x the silantro, or 20x the oregano, or 20x the pepper, or 20x of any other real spice, it would make the soup inedible. But Bay leaves?! They are a fucking scam.
Hi, Baby witch here. I did a new moon manifestation spell with a green candle and bay leaves. I cannot for the life of me find a follow up to take advantage of the full moon.
If it matters, I’m trying to manifest career goals - both in what I produce to fulfill myself in a career and also making good money while doing it - primarily.
Hi beautiful souls! I have been given mop- buckets size of dried Bay leaf stem and all. Any ideas of how I can use it all? Thankyou!
Please help! Is there any way you can do a bay leaf luck/money spell without burning the leaf?
And if the spell doesn't work, could that mean anything besides that the spell was done wrong?
I'm a baby witch, I followed my instincts and tried to make a non burning version of the spell for someone else to get a loan from the bank. First I created and wrote a spell with all the intentions well expressed, then I wrote the specific runes and the exact money needed in the bay leaf, memorized the spell and said it three times while visualizing the results, wrapped the paper with the spell around de bay leaf folding it 3 times and said the spell one last time. Then I left the paper with the bay leaf hidden under an object in my room. The spell was meant to work earlier today but didn't work, so ...
Is there anything I can do to still get the results for today, this week or for that specific thing?
Is there anything I shouldn't have done?
Thanks in advance 💕
Have yancha, dancong, green, yellow, taiwanese oolongs, and possibly some puer. If you are new to tea like me and would like to try a bag of samples, let me know. I'll ship you a mystery bag no charge. Samples will either be in their original packaging or in smaller mylar bags (can share with more people).
You are doing me a favor helping me get rid of samples. Don't owe me nothing. You can pay for shipping if you like.
EDIT: Closed now, thanks for the interest. Will have another in the near future I'm sure.
I have a strong attachment to coriander in almost all my soups. I think it's become my new nutmeg!
Bay Leaf is the latest restaurant victim of COVID in Lawrence. Their last day will be Sunday so if you are jonesing for some Indian food before then hit them up the next day or two.
By my reckoning the currently tally is
Bay Leaf - closed permanently
Wake the Dead - closed permanently
Levee - closed permanently
Henry's - closed permanently (new coffee shop under new ownership will open in its place)
Quintons - appears closed permanently, hasn't been open since March and no announcement
Bon Bon - closed permanently but may open as new concept at some future point (?)
Ondori - closed permanently
Alchemy downtown - location closed for duration of COVID (satellite drive thru open out west)
Lady Bird - location closed for duration of COVID, hopefully will return eventually
Pyramid Pizza - closed permanently
Blue Moose - closed permanently
Moose McGuire's - appears closed permanently, hasn't been open since March and no announcement
Aimees - closed permanently (updated 11-4-20)
I am biased towards downtown and I sure I am forgetting some.
I’ve heard that you can’t write a wish down on a bay leaf then burn it to have it come to you, but I’m just wondering if there’s more to it as I wish to preform this spell.
Will these turn into the dried variants on their own or would they have to be actively dried for that?
Essentially im just trying to figure out if I need to refridgerate or if I can just leave them out.
