I have a serious question. The βBackbone One product was something I was willing to invest in. The only problem that I have about their controller is that theyβre not durable. The first one I bought lasted me for about a year, but the second one barely lasted me for 6 months. To get to the point, I want to know if thereβs a way I could get in contact with them personally instead of doing a tear down of their product, furthermore destroying the controllers that cost me $200+ Itβs irritating to be in this situation and I donβt want to have to move on from this. They either need to make new controllers that are durable or make products like a case to protect the controller. Itβs embarrassing to see companies or people independently making products like cases & snap on cases for your product.
My Backbone One Xbox controller is being detected as a PS4 controller on my Mac/Chrome. It works, but it tells me to use Square or Option instead of X or menu (?). Shift+Tab options don't seem to have anything.
Stadia has been the only platform that makes the Backbone compelling. I'm already leaning to returning the Backbone, so if I can't edit the config, this might be the last straw.
I just picked up a backbone controller attachment for my iPhone, and I receive an error message that it is not compatible with mega man x dive (global version). I wanted to check in with the community before I return it. Does anyone who plays the global version use a backbone?
Thinking about buying one!
Do you need the Backbone+ subscription for this? Or can I just plug and play on other devices? Iβm interested in purchasing the controller but paying 50$/year for this functionality seems a bit much. Or is there a one time unlock cost I can pay just for this feature? I really would have no use case for everything else offered in the subscription.
EDIT: After contacting support it seems you do need the subscription to connect the controller via USB/thunderbolt to your computer. Hopefully that decision is revisited sometime.
My Phone heats up playing games on Backbone
I am a Razer Kishi owner, but I want access to the Backbone software. Is it necessary to own the controller in order to use the software. In theory, could I borrow a friends Backbone to verify and gain access to the app, then return the Backbone and continue using the app via my Kishi?
Sorry, I already have the Kishi and I donβt want to buy an entirely new controller.
Fuck no because this thing turns my iphone into an oven. A fucking oven 200 degree
I was planning on getting the backbone for one codm. Do they put you in a controller lobby?
What are the chances we see a sale on the Backbone on Black Friday?
Got a backbone controller and itβs great but the left stick doesnβt work well at all in Delta. It registers diagonal movement only, makes a lot of games borderline unplayable. Iβve checked and this is an issue Iβm only having with Delta. The left stick works fine in Eclipse and RetroGameBot.
Curious to see if there might be a fix coming? Iβve only seen 1 other thread on this https://www.reddit.com/r/Delta_Emulator/comments/o85sw0/backbone_one_joysticks_only_input_diagonals_on/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Anyone know if itβs compatible with this game?
Just curious if anyone is aware of a way to remap the backbone app button so that it does not bring up the backbone app? In Xbox Cloud beta and Stadia the button is used to bring up the HUD for that service, and I'd like that to be the main function of the button if possible. With the app uninstalled it just asks me to go install the app, is there a workaround for this?
Iβm not sure if most people already know this but on the backbone official website under their FAQ they say you can use the stream labs app to live stream to youtube and twitch from your phone. Just a small PSA.
Hi Guys,
I just encountered an issue with my Backbone One Controller, which isnβt responding to any input anymore.
Yesterday everything was fine, got it about two month ago, and had no issues so far. Just plug it in and play.
However, not today. Everything I try, I dont get the Controller to work. Unplugging and plug it in again, fails. Reboot of iPhone, fails. Close the Backbone App / Game, fails.
Could it be that the Backbone Controller got damaged because I only use it with power passthrough, even when I am not playing? Is that heavy usage, which isnβt intended? The iPhone will still instantly recognize the Backbone Controller, since it shows the plugged in icon inside the Backbone App. Never the less, no inputs are triggered.
I already have raised a ticket with the official support. In parallel I am hoping for similar experience from the community, and maybe someone has a solution if its not a hardware issue.
Looking forward to your answers!
