Currently in the dispute with Jiffy Lube about whether they actually changed my transmission fluid. I recently had an oil change at NTB and they did a diagnostic needs analysis test that showed I had dirty transmission fluid just a few months after getting it changed. Basically they dropped a bunch of fluids on a piece of white paper and told me it was overdue. I talked to Jiffy Lube and they said that they said that it's shady to show customer the color of fluids as proof of need for service. Who is telling me the truth and what's the best way to determine if my transmission fluid needs changing?
Hello! I am looking to change my automatic transmission fluid. I got the Diamond sp 3 AFT fluid and now I’m just looking for a repair manual or something to give me a small guide on how to do so. It doesn’t look hard but a repair guide would give me a lot of comfort while doing this. Does anyone know where to find one? Thank you!

Looking for advice on whether or not to replace the ATF. My mechanic said he'd do it but there's a possibility it could prematurely cause transmission issues and/or failure, if the ATF hadn't been changed according to the service schedule (every 30k miles). I purchased the vehicle in March 2022 with 112k miles. I bit the bullet and had the timing belt replaced. I'm glad I did because my mechanic said it looked like the original belt. Point being, based on that information, I'm going to assume the previous owner didn't replace the ATF regularly. I feel like not replacing the ATF could be problematic, but I'm also being told that replacing it might be problematic too. Any insight or experience would be super helpful. Thanks!
An owner's manual from online says my 1994 Lexus ES300 can use ATF Dexron II for the power steering fluid. Is it similar to the transmission where if it's Dexron III or IV I can still use it in lieu of Dexron II?
Problem with car not accelerating when stepping on gas while rpm goes up. Wanted to check if transmission fluid is low before taking it to the dealership.
Hi Team, I have a Honda CR-V 2010 EX-L. I was going to change the transmission fluid myself. According to the manual, it should take Honda Genuine ATF-Z1 (automatic transmission fluid). As per checking, no one has this.
Is this the same fluid as the Genuine Honda 08200-9008 Automatic Transmission Fluid ATF DW-1?
Any suggestions for those who change their transmission oil as well?
Thank you in advance.
Sorry if this is a basic question, but my last car ('04 Camry LE) had a sealed transmission, so I didn't change the fluid. (190,000 miles, no issues).
All I can find online is about the manual version of my car, and the ST, not the SE. I just passed 40,000 miles and I'm not sure if I should. I've heard it can cause damage to certain transmissions, especially automatics. Not sure if that's true either. I don't know much about cars, so sorry if I sound stupid lol.
Should I replace all of the fluid? How would I even do that?
Car is a 2012 yaris hatch back. Thank you.
