The boys have dropped quite a bit of info about their BigHit audition and training process and I thought their stories were super interesting and diverse, so I wanted to compile what they have told us. This is specifically about their audition process for BigHit, listed in the order they joined the company! Please let me know if I missed some details :)
CASTING CALL: I'm holding open auditions for the role of Robert Edwin House, one of Fallout's most iconic characters for our podcast (CHAD A Fallout 76 Story 35k subscribers) for some pre-war backstory that will pivotal in the lead-up to the season finale. Since it is pre-war, his voice won't be synthesized as in my example clip. The actor must have a production quality mic to record with. Use these lines of dialogue to practice and record with. Submit voice clips with your full name and attached .wav audio files to firstname.lastname@example.org

Ok, so I am a huge theatre person, and I audition for a lot of stuff. Just came out of a big musical, but ready to hop back on the bandwagon. I audition at a community theatre program, which is essentially my second home. I walk into the confrence room to do paper work with a friend, when I see our main cast.
EM : Entitled Mom - ED: Entitled Dad - EK: Entitled Kid - ET : Entitled Toddler - F: Friend - D: Director - Me: Me
So, I notice the Entitled Family and don't think much of it. I assume the EK (around 13) was auditioning, and mom dad and brother are here to fill out paperwork. People start coming in late, and the last paperwork is put in. The director comes in and tells us where to go. EM ED and ET start to follow.
D: Oh! Parents can wait in the hall, or come back by noon.
EM: We're going to watch. (she now picks up ET)
D: Oh, sorry, we don't allow parents for-
ED: WHAT? WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE CAN'T WATCH HIM?!
EK: Yeah! Why can't they watch?!
D: It interferes with the... keep reading on reddit ➡

I've had about 9 people DM this week about auditions so I figured I should update my write up and offer again my help. If you do want to send me your videos please know that I am currently in nursing school and doing clinicals so I'll be doing all my write ups on the weekends. Quick questions I'll answer any time.
Why should you listen to me? Whelp I was on season 19 of the show (Megan) I applied twice and made it to top 25 the first time and on the show the second time. I may have not done the best while on there but I did rock at getting on. I also did 60+ hours of research before I even made my video so I would like to think I kinda know what I'm talking about.
Step 1: Go on youtube and search big brother audition videos. Watch a ton of them. Write down what you liked about it and what you didn't. If you are watching someones video and you instantly just want to click off and watch some thing else then the producers do to. Figure out why. If a video really draws you in also figure... keep reading on reddit ➡
So my audition is literally tomorrow, and I just had ptsd from last years sight reading. It had some weird time signature I never seen in my life, the whole thing was just sixteenth notes, and there were a bunch of accidentals. And I’m wondering why it’s so much harder than the actual piece that we’ve been practicing for months.
Wish me luck guys!! Thanks for all the helpful tips you've given me. I couldn't be here if it wasn't for all of you. I hope to see any bac vets today in San Antonio!!!
Update: GOT A CALLBACK!!!
Brand new narrator here! But I'm a classically-trained actor from a pretty uppity conservatory program so I guess that's a huge leg-up in terms of artistry. Signed up on Monday for ACX, submitted two auditions yesterday and uploaded two samples, only to have an offer of $70/pfh for a 50k word horror thriller this morning! (Also another offer message from some random asking for 9 hours for 3 at $27/pfh with the promise of more which.... idk. I asked for credentials cause I read researching the author is key and the name was not immediately Google-able.)
This is a big project for my first one, but it isn't due until February, so I'm hoping to book a few smaller ones during the process to build my resume/get better. I read it took a while to get a bite, so this seems pretty lucky to me. Just happy!! Thought I'd share.
THAT'S RIGHT, FUCKERS, LDP'S ORIGINAL PUNK SHOW IS GETTING ITS SHIT TOGETHER! Your main man Pete is sober enough to manage his shit this time! All the original members are MIA at this point - Cork the Dork is in prison for Arson, Minnie hasn't been seen in years, and Birch is somewhere out in LA making indie films - so Sam Woods and I are putting together a new lineup!
I've dug my old bass outta the attic and she sounds fine! Sammy can fuckin lay it down on guitar! I can still sing real well but I'm raspy and kind of off key, which is perfect! We need maybe a female or enby vocalist, definitely a drummer, and if anyone plays anything else then we're happy for that shit too! Swing on down once I can get my happy ass out of bed some afternoon and we'll get this ball a-rollin'!

So Oklahoma finally has its own drumcorps. The only audition experience i have is my highschools, and im a freshman so I’ve only experienced it once. I impressed my section leader(s) by making tenorline this year and both of them are really pushing for me to try out for zephyrus. It seems more laid back than other corps considering it’s so new but i imagine I’ll have to be auditioning with people from schools like union, BA, jenks, and the like. Idk if i have a chance but i wanna know what you all think
I just want to share my excitement over having sent in my first batch of auditions today on voices.com
I’m aware that most likely I won’t land a job, but still, I had so much fun reading the scripts, preparing the voice for it, recording, listening back, editing, ALL OF IT.
I sent in 14 auditions, and I’m mighty proud of myself :)))
Just feeling good! :)))
Im 14 and have experience in theater and i take weekly acting classes. I'd like to be in a short film or anything that has a small part, even if it's unpaid and I have one line. I've looked on backstage and starnow for auditions but they all require a demo reel, with at least one speaking role in film. But how do i get film experience if you have to have previous film experience for every audition?? I have headshots but not an agent . thank you
Im a senior in high school and president of our theatre club (International Thespians Society). We recently had auditions for a play I'm not a fan of.
So a little backstory, i told my teacher/director i didn't want to audition because i didn't like the show that much (it's not a bad show, I just don't really like it). For the next three days he was an ass to me. He didn't talk to me and would say things to other students about it. For instance, one of my friends asked to used the restroom. He said "sure, because you're auditioning for the play". He got mad at my group when he asked if we were working, one of my friends said "yeah we are" in a defensive tone and he replied with "do you really want to get an attitude with me?". When to other groups he was normal.
We had auditions recently, and being in his class, it's mandatory to audition. So i audition and get called back for a lead role. I get half way through auditions when he and the stage manager call me in privately. They tell m... keep reading on reddit ➡
Hey guys I've only started musical theatre recently and I've had trouble finding good baritone songs. So far I've found some songs from Man of La Mancha and I also enjoy Try to Remember. Does anyone have recommendations of any kind? It feels like tenors get the better songs so I want to find some baritone songs I enjoy singing.
Did anyone on here end up auditioning for any of the roles, or have any new info? Just want to find out as much as I can about it. Can't wait for the new song and video!
Hey all, it’s come to my attention that when I posted about our new audition page for our continuation (If you haven’t seen it I suggest going to my previous post for the link) that the page itself wasn’t open and was pending verification by the site. So if you weren’t able to audition before due to this reason the page is now open. Thanks for reading, Team Spectacular.
I don't know where else to go with this.I spend hundreds of hours preparing for an audition and when I got to it, I couldn't even play my pieces because I got so nervous. I feel like a failure, I wasted so much time preparing for something that I didn't even get to show how ready I was. All I can do now is wait for my rejection letter.
Does anyone have advice about how not to hate myself over this? :/
Hey! I’m getting frustrated with how hard it is to get into the room with agents- please, god, tell me how! I am fully confident about myself once I’m in the room- but I just! Can’t! Get! Into! The! Room!
HOW on GOD did you get your agent? And how can I get mine?!
I’m a nyc actor by the way!
A friend and I used to do sugaring a while back and now she's interested in getting into escorting. She told me she's joining an agency and she just finished her "audition." This raises a couple red flags for me.
The agency is run by a man. Is it safe to say you shouldn't trust an agency run by a man?
There was an "audition." She didn't sleep with him, only gave him a massage with no happy ending, but he still was naked.
She said the agency promotes themselves as a sensual massage/escorting type gig and she found it through craigslist. The post was like "seeking college girls work" or something like that. It seems rather fishy to me and I'd like to know what are things that should be avoided from agencies and what should be looked for. I've already searched on this sub but nothing about a massage audition.
I am in a smaller regional market and things are going well--I'm looking to move to a bigger market eventually. There are lots of opportunities here, but there's not necessarily a steady stream of auditions, i.e. 3 auditions a week in February, 3 auditions in all of March.
After a lot of thought about my approach to auditioning, I think I'd benefit a lot from upping my audition numbers and getting in an "audition groove". Because there's sometimes a lot of time in between my auditions, I can add extra (unnecessary) significance to each one. I'm working on the balance between hustling and focusing on the craft rather than the results.
How often do you audition? Are there dry spells in your city? How does your union status/representation affect the number of auditions you do? (I am non-union and work in theatre and on-camera. Theatre/film agents aren't a thing in my city, but I am multi-listed with two commercial agencies.)
Thanks so much for your input! And even if you're not in a... keep reading on reddit ➡
Please use this thread to ask for help with your auditions. Try to add as many relevant details as possible; age, gender, comedy/serious, vocal range, etc. For those adding answers, writing the names of the suggestions in bold is nice, to make it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the suggestions.
Last Minute Audition: Is it worth it?
Hey everyone! I marched at a non-finalist world class corps in 2019 and I originally thought I would not be marching in 2020. In the past couple of weeks, I changed my mind and decided that I really wanted to march this summer. I signed up to go to the one-day audition camp for SoA in December 14th. However, because my decision to actually audition was so last minute, I’m super nervous for my audition and I’m having doubts as to whether or not it’s worth it at all. I will have only had a couple of weeks to prepare the etudes, and I’m not in an ensemble this semester at my school, so my chops are incredibly rusty from barely having played since the summer. I’m super nervous to be auditioning with people who have practiced for months when I’ve only been working on the music for 2 weeks. And while I’m fairly in shape in general, I’m afraid that my lack of baritone playing in the past few months is going to really hurt me if I can’t hold my horn up fo... keep reading on reddit ➡
I’m auditioning for troopers in December. I need to learn a solo or excerpt of a marching show. I need suggestions.
Could he be stupider? Didn’t he realize Dana White will NEVER hire him after the Eskimo bro’s comments?? How stupid can he be???
Hopefully Dana hires him though and sets him up for failure. B-b-b-b-beast of an analyst tho
Also, CONGRATULATIONS to FunPlus Phoenix for winning Worlds 2019!!!! 3-0 in finals is some crazy stuff!
I can't wait to see what the FPX skins look like!!!! :0
