How To Get Wool To Stick To Armature

Hi! I'm not new to felting, but I am new to the reddit community :) Feel free to ask me anything about needle felting. In the meantime, thought I'd share a hack:

If you use armature and are having trouble getting the wool to stick while you try to wrap it, paint the armature with rubber cement and let it dry (just takes a minute). Rubber cement will create a tacky, rubbery surface on the armature for your wool to grab onto.

Off the Shelf Parts for Stop Motion Armature?

I want to try some more advanced stop motion, but I don't have a machine shop or any kind of heavy duty tools. I can fut and weld styrene plastic.

Are there any off the shelf parts that I could assemble into a simple stop motion armature, even something basic enough to suspend simple objects in-mid air? For instance, to make a ball appear to bounce.

Thanks!

Where to buy armature pieces (joints, ball sockets, etc) in bulk.

I was looking for armature kits and they seem to be around $40-150, for a kit for just one armature. And even more for an already assembled one. Which isn’t that bad, but will add up for multiple armatures.

So I’m was wondering if anyone knows where to buy the pieces in bulk, for someone who plans on making many puppets? Like where do the people who sell the kits buy their pieces from? Or for large productions where do they get their pieces from for their armatures, I doubt they are buying them kit by kit from online stop motion stores.

How To Match Armature and Body Rotations in Edit Mode and Object Mode

Armature rotation axis off by one bone

I've been troubleshooting my armature all day and I'm not sure what the issue is. I updated my character's skeleton for my game and when I re-imported it into UE4, the axis of rotation for each bone is one off what it is in blender. It still pivots around the right end of the bone but the it takes the directions from the other end of the bone. The entire skeleton is this way and I feel like I hit a setting by accident that I'm not aware of. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Blender on top, UE4 on bottom. It rotates around the ankle as it should but its using the axis from the end of the bone. I interchanged X and Y on export for UE4 purposes. The ankle in UE4 uses the axis from the end of the foot bone.

The entire project is scaled down to 0.01 for UE4, so I don't change scale on export.
