President Trump announced a package of pardons during the final hours of his administration this evening and early morning. In the days leading up to the announcement, there was a large amount of speculation regarding who would receive clemency.
The list includes a wide variety of individuals, most prominently:
Steve Bannon, former White House chief strategist
Elliott Broidy, former RNC finance chair
Kwame Kilpatrick, former Democratic mayor of Detroit
Randy Duke Cunningham, former Republican congressman
Rick Renzi, former Republican congressman
Robin Hayes, former Republican congressman
Lil Wayne, rapper
Kodak Black, rapper
The full list is available as a White House press release.
After previous reports indicated that he had conversations with his legal team on the matter, Trump does not appear to be planning to issue pardons to himself or members of his family.

This is going to be interesting. On one hand, it may not pass due to Joe Manchin, but I think Biden will be proposing a $2-$3T stimulus this Thursday. He also supports another round of checks but this time for $2k. Based on the numbers, $400b of the βtrillionsβ in stimulus is just on the $2k checks.
Rumors are he will also throw in a lot of clean energy and EV subsidies in there too. Possibly in the tens of billions.

Hello, Ethereum world!
Reddit admin u/jarins here, with some exciting news to share today: Reddit has teamed up with the Ethereum Foundation to establish Redditβs first-ever blockchain partnership!
As Reddit continues to grow with more than 50 million daily users and hundreds of thousands of communities, the platform has long maintained a decentralized ethos by empowering users to create, govern, and grow their own communities. Through this partnership, we will be increasing our commitment to blockchain, accelerating scaling and resources for the Ethereum ecosystem, and bringing the value and independence of blockchain technology to millions of redditors.
In many ways, this collaboration started with the Scaling Bake-Off that we hosted in this community with the Ethereum Foundation. In this new stage of our partnership, immediate efforts will be focused on bringing Ethereum to Reddit-scale production. Our intention is to help accelerate the progress being made on scaling and develop the technology needed to launch large-scale applications like Community Points on Ethereum. The scaling technology developed through this partnership will be open-sourced and publicly available for anyone to use.
We introduced Community Points last year to give more ownership and control back to users through decentralized technology. Built on Ethereum, Community Points represent a userβs ownership in a community and rewards them for their individual contributions (such as posts and comments). This project is our first attempt at utilizing decentralized technology to empower individuals to have a sense of accountability and more ownership in the communities that they create and contribute to. Community Points are currently in beta on the Rinkeby network and are being tested in r/CryptoCurrency and r/FortNiteBR.
Our blockchain efforts will be led by Reddit's Crypto team (hi!). We are currently hiring great backend engineers who want to build the decentralized Internet. If youβre interested in solving tough problems like scaling and bringing blockchain to millions of users, send me a PM or apply directly on Redditβs careers page -- weβd love to talk to you!

>Because it is time. My new job is to kick off a big (some might say massive) game that many of you, and many Rioters, have been asking us to create.

It's been about time. World of Runeterra coming soon?
CONTEXT:
For those who don't know, in order to play multiplayer games on an Xbox, you have to pay to use Microsoft's online service Xbox Live.
Xbox Live's price - and whether it should cost a fee to play games online at all - has long been a subject of arguments among gamers. For some bonus drama, here's a comment section from 2007 arguing about it. And here's another one from 2009. Despite this, and despite the persistent rumors that Xbox Live will soon be free of charge, the price has remained the same for the last 11 years - $60 per year.
So with all that in mind, early yesterday morning Microsoft released an article titled "Update on Xbox Live Gold Pricing", in which they announced that instead of $60 per year, Xbox Live would now cost $60 per six months, effectively doubling the price.
People were not happy. Discussion threads filled with comments in /r/Xbox, /r/XboxSeriesX, and /r/Games. The vast majority of the anger was, of course, directed at Microsoft. But as with any event that generates multiple large threads of discussion, arguments were inevitable.
Some users in /r/Xbox sparked arguments by arguing that $10 a month is not a lot of money:
>Thatβs $10 a month. Same as PS Plus if you pay monthly. That doesnβt seem that wild.
>[If you can't afford $10 a month, stop playing video games and put some effort into improving your
