Some recently hired data scientists at work are suggesting that we start using tools like Algorithmia and FastScore for deploying machine learning models. Some of them are talking about "One click model deployment". I took a look at the websites for these products, but I'm still having a hard time figuring out what they can do that is so special and why exactly do they make life easier for a data scientists compared to running your model on Google Cloud ML or Sagemaker?
I finally published my first crate and a CLI client that wraps it for calling Algorithms hosted at algorithmia.com
Sorry if this seems like a shameless plug. I got a bit excited when I realized our team now has more public-facing LOC on GitHub in Rust than other language. Now if only there was enough feedback for me to make a case for prioritizing Rust as a first-class algorithm development language on the platform - maybe it'll just have to be another side-project that gets snuck in. Either way, I've really enjoyed building these clients in Rust. :-)
