A little while ago I ordered the One Last Kiss vinyl and I pre ordered the demon slayer soundtrack vinyl as well. For both orders I chose regular airmail shipping as registered airmail is currently suspended and the only other 2 options were $40+. Fast forward to now and I’m starting to doubt whether or not I should have just paid more for tracking and insurance and it’s kinda giving me anxiety. I can’t get a refund because both were through a proxy and I didn’t realize it at the time so here we are. I’m considering buying another demon slayer with tracking and insurance this time but I don’t know if it’ll be worth it. Can I rely on airmail to deliver my package safely or should I just buy another one to be safe?
I got even more awesome mail! Check it out here: https://imgur.com/a/tKkhEvg
/u/kyoung117 Thanks for the adorable sloth card! That does sound like a weird dream, funnily I had a similar dream recently, about my boyfriend proposing. I blame it on the Romcom I watched on Netflix.
/u/intrepid-researcher Thanks for the adorable cat card with the goodies, I love the origami! It is definitely crazy what kind of research has been done especially in the early days. It's a good thing that we have the ethics committees now, but of course, sadly this means that some topics (that would be really interesting) cannot be studied. Maybe at some point in the future, we will be able to run very detailed simulation studies (e.g. with brains developed in the lab) to still get knowledge on these things where we cannot really experiment.
/u/reasonablepositive Thanks for the sweet bird card! We have had very weird weather with really nice spring-like days and then suddenly cold and snow again. So far not too many wasps here, but we are noticing more mosquitos.
/u/demodawid Thanks for the friendly match card! Very interesting to learn!
/u/cswl Thanks so much for the easter card, it's adorable, I love the bunnies! I used to love hiding the easter eggs for my siblings, but now they are too old to still do the easter egg hunt, so now my favourite part is the easter brunch, it's the only time we eat chocolate for breakfast :D
/u/tigerhueterin I finally finished my card (sending it out tomorrow, so sorry for the delay!) so I got to open yours! Super interesting, thank you so much, I also loved that you went to the Zoo and included those animals, it sounds like a really nice zoo too with some really interesting animals (I e.g. love seeing great apes and red pandas though the latter are usually sleeping when I go by). It's really interesting to compare how differently we chose to illustrate but also to some degree collect the data. I don't wanna spoil mine too much, but I had a bit more variety in the animals, but I definitely must have missed more than you (especially birds). We have similar birds here, but additionally, I often walk past 2 places that keep chickens. Its interesting to see that you rarely see cats, but then 2 on the same day! I think we have a bit more cats around, though compared to normally I saw much less in the week I collected data. I also noticed that how many dogs I saw really depended on the time of day I went for my walk. I would be up for another exc... keep reading on reddit ➡
I have gotten some wonderful mail again! https://imgur.com/a/1XJ2aXA
/u/nutriyum Thanks for the beautiful postcard! I really love the stamps too. I'm sorry to hear about the nightmares, I used to have a lot too, so I know how distressing they can be!
/u/bananacreampiee Thanks for the postcard! Lucky that you managed to travel before the whole pandemic started, I'm glad you liked it! Even without skiing there's a lot of nice tings to see!
/u/amyt13 Thanks for the lovely mail card, I agree it's a great design. I love the story about playing post office as a child. I definitely played something similar with my sister, I think also at my grandparents they even had a "front" we could play with a little mailbox on the side.
/u/mangocheesecakegurl I love the card, it's such a funny combo being so pretty but also the "burn it all down". I would say that you probably still dream, but don't remember it when you are awake. I have some recurring dream elements, for example, one bridge (like a hanging bridge) that appears often in my dreams.
/u/girlsonabench Thanks for the lovely octopus card! I love how shiny it is. and you chose some really nice quotes too!
/u/libertyprogrammer Thanks so much for the card for my flair! It's really beautiful and thanks for the added goodies, I will definitely put the stickers on the next cards I send! I really agree with the Aesop quote!
/u/imeldamail Thanks for the lovely birthday card, it's so nicely made and really special, I also like this type of paper. And of course thanks for all the extras, I will make good use of them! My little sister was interested in handmaking some cards with me so maybe I can incorporate them there.
/u/ribeyecut Thanks for the lovely Earth travel card! I am really glad that we can (still) live on Earth and it's not a desolate place yet, but I understand the fascination!
Thanks all of you, it really means a lot to me!
I got more lovely things in my mailbox! https://imgur.com/a/GsIuhEq
/u/amyt13 Thanks for the beautiful easter card and all the goodies! The additional card is beautiful and I love the little felt bunny! I hope you had a great easter too!
/u/theverygoodgirl thanks for the interesting card about Washington and I just love how colorful you made the card! I have been to the States a couple of times and I have visited Seattle in Washington and we took the train from Seattle to LA which was a really amazing experience! I'm happy you liked Switzerland and I hope you can come back to see the alps!
/u/josephineishmyhero Thanks so much for the adorable easter card and the stickers and tea, I can't wait to try it out!
/u/vmiko Thanks for the adorable Sloth postcard, it's lovely! I actually love this kind of weird random dreams, haha! Really makes you think what your brain is trying to figure out that night!
/u/monetmonkey Thank you for the awesome girl power postcard, I love it! Your favourite mug sounds awesome! I also prefer really big mugs myself as I tend to drink a lot of tea throughout the day!
u/SpaNamaste22 - Ahhh so many questions that just beg more questions! Quesadillas can't be sandwiches, right? Because tortillas do not equal bread (then, wouldn't that make grilled cheese sandwiches also quesadillas...)? I considered that cereal isn't a soup because there is no heating involved, but there does exist cold soup in some cuisine... so that's a curveball in itself! I completely agree with your sentiments on waffles and pancakes. Waffles all the way if I'm not the one making it. Now as far as critters from the river being considered seafood, well that's a rabbit hole I'm willing to explore. Thanks for the card and for continuing to feed my interest in answering these pressing issues at hand :D
u/pepetteuh_56 - Thank you so much for the beautiful card of Sanzen-in Temple! I do hope my mail reaches you unscathed. I really wish to visit Japan in the near future, and I will be adding your recommendations of temples to the list once that happens! On my next Tahoe trip, I will be sure to double my postcard stack to share with this community :-)
Thank you both again for the airmail!
This is the latest tek that happens in your worst nightmare. AKA my current situation creating the AIRMAIL TEK.
Step 1: Have a spore syringe with a broken and jammed needle.
Step 2: Have no extra needles.
Step 3: Flame sterilize your jammed syringe
Step 4: Puncture your taped up FAE holed jar lid.
Step 5: Unscrew the syringe and air mail some spores into that bad boy.
Step 6: Tape it up.
Step 7: AIRMAIL SUCCESS
I had some lovely cards in my mailbox again! https://imgur.com/a/D8Fp3bJ
/u/nutriyum Thanks for the adorable easter card and telling me about the Finnish easter traditions, that's really interesting!
/u/spitzruten Thanks for the lovely card of St. Petersburg and the recommendation, I hope I can visit it in summer (if the pandemic gets better!)
/u/craftea052 Thanks for the lovely card of Maria Sibylla Merian, it's very interesting because she is also in the Women in Science set and it's nice to see these different illustrations!
/u/monetmonkey Thanks for the adorable spring and bike card! It would definitely be very unusual in Switzerland to never learn to ride a bike, but I think its is very country dependent. I also love the washi!
/u/derrickboshane There is no name on there, but I am pretty sure the two cards from South Dakota are from your kids! Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
A bunch of my CDJapan orders are shipping out but with unregistered airmail. Is it safe or should I prolong my shipment?
Anybody from Canada get an email from amiami about them reissuing shipping cause surface parcel and airmail is now available, says they will issue refunds and new invoices. Just confused how they are going about this, do we contact them for the refund or do they contact us? I picked EMS before this.
Whenever I get a meeting invite in an email, Airmail recognises it as such and puts accept and decline buttons on the email in the inbox. If I'm foolish enough to click accept, the meeting request is deleted, there's no record of my accept reply in sent items and nothing happens with my calendar. So I don't know the details of what I've just accepted!
This is daft behaviour - how can I change it - or is it a bug - in which case let's get it fixed!
