Itβs generally accepted that peopleβs political and social views can be heavily swayed by what media they take in, and from where it came from. The problem is misinformed people being fed news from Facebook, Instagram, or the constantly running biased news channel.
I hate to break it to you, but wherever you lie on the political spectrum, whatever opinions you think are your own, people are being paid for you to think that. American news outlets constantly use language to portray any scenario in any different light.
If the media outlets are that contradictory on the exact same topic or event, none can be trusted. This is becoming common knowledge, and the peopleβs response is that all the news is that itβs all bad news.
Why not just make a news outlet that only airs good news? Now I know what youβre thinking; βwhatβs good news to one is bad news to anotherβ. No, no, no. I mean actual good news around the world that in many cases would inherently be non-political. You know the kind Iβm referring to that local news airs once per night and the waxy news casters laugh through their botox. Firefighter saves a kid and marries his mom or whatever. woo poor kid gets a scholarship. Family of ducks saved by mexicans. Hippie takes dog on roadtrip. I got tired
Possible spoilers if you've not seen the movie(though I don't recommend...it's truly awful)
I'm 11 minutes in and so far:
Mulan has a sister.
Apparently her dad is poor, instead of an honored rich man/family.
It starts with her as a kid
She somehow has magic kung fu abilities that defy gravity, and pay homage to other fantasy chinese movies with that weird awful kung fu/fight scenes where you can tell they are on a rig.
There is a magic witch that is possessing people to help bori khan (I'm sorry who?)
Its in english(????) I understand this is for americans who can't/don't want to read subtitles but....it's awful... everything (even when people write) is chinese.
And from what I've seen from others who've watched mushu isn't even a thing....
AND THERES NO SINGING
I'm really hoping this movie improves(maybe I'm making an assumption given its so early into the movie) but I find the acting and story line as bad as the live action A:TLAB
The animated version is superior in my opinion.
Edit: y'all there's so many replies I'm having trouble keeping up, so I'm not gonna reply anymore. There were a couple people who did change my view a tiiiiny bit on certain aspects, and helped me see things differently. I'm still going with it was mostly awful, and also I didn't know about the drama surrounding where it was shot, or the fact it was near the Chinese concentration camps. Now that is truly awful.
Iβm thinking about how mass affects range in electric vehicles. While energy spent during city driving that includes starting and stopping obviously is affected by mass (as braking doesnβt give 100% back), keeping a constant speed on a highway should be possible to split into different forms of friction. Driving in e.g. 100 km/hr with a Tesla model 3, how much of the energy consumption is from air resistance vs friction with the road etc?
I can work with the square formula for air resistance, but other forms of friction is harder, so would love to see what people know about this!
