President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris address the nation at 08:00 PM ET from Wilmington, DE, after being declared the winners of the 2020 presidential election.
My 43F husband 46M adopted my 25F daughter when she was two years old. My MIL has always disliked me and said that I trapped her son into adopting my daughter. She has always treated my daughter differently than our son 19M. We have very little contact with MIL due to her attitude towards our daughter, and my daughter wants nothing to do with her.
Our daughter joined the navy right out of high school when she was 18 and has just re-enlisted for another 5 years. She is going to be stationed overseas and she is very excited about it. My MIL has never supported our daughter joining the service, however, two weeks ago a woman in her church group had a grandson that joined the Army. Since then she has been posting non-stop on social media about being a navy grandma and how hard it is on her. Now she wants to have our daughters address so her church group can send her care packages. We discussed it with our daughter and she asked us not to give MIL her address. My husband called MIL and tol... keep reading on reddit ➡
Me 26F and my fiancé 28M been engaged for 4 months, we're planning on having our wedding on October 18th, My future mother in law kept annoying me and sending me suggestions for choosing the right wedding dress, and said that she knew better and tried to get me to approve of wedding dresses that she chose and when she couldn't enforce her decision she demanded that I take her with me to buy my wedding dress so she could have an opinion.
Before I went shopping I called her to ask if she wanted to come but started making excuses about how busy she was with my sister in law, I went shopping with my mom and I was able to find a really nice dress although it cost me a little over what I saved up for, but it was worth it.
I made some changes to it and it was perfect, it arrived to my apartment at the end of the week, I made sure it was stored in a safe place so it doesn't get ruined.
Yesterday, I got back from my mom's house, and found that my fiancé wasn't home neither was the dress, I... keep reading on reddit ➡
First of all, the changes were good. They nudged themselves in the right direction. However, there are several major issues that were not dealt with in any capacity and this is a serious problem. Here are the issues:
1.) The nature of the race makes it so that clans who are able to have members playing at ~midnight EST are inherently going to have an advantage over those who do not. One of the great things about CW1 was that I could do my attack whenever. This time obligation has completely destroyed the motivation of many players to play, and this division has created guild drama as the hardcore players are no longer able to align their playstyle with the skilled casuals.
2.) Involuntary participation means that instead of letting the ultra-casual friends of ours stick around we are encouraged to purge inactive members, even if they are going inactive for a week or two. If we want to be competitive we need to have a robust roster, and if we want a robust roster we need to put mobile... keep reading on reddit ➡
I use gmail for some of my personal emailing. One of the better features of gmail is the ability to add the + symbol to your email when you're entering it online to track who you sign up to with what. For example: [email protected].
This will always make sure your emails go to your original email address [email protected], but with the added tag, it lets you track when that company then sells your email to another company for advertising purposes. Because when that company sends your their junk ads, they will send it to [email protected].
Case in point, I signed up to the Secret Lair site for the first few Secret Lairs. Today I received this:
Notice the To: [email protected] at the end of the 'To' email address? I only ever gave that email version to WotC and only for the Secre... keep reading on reddit ➡
Its time to acknowledge there is a problem with the gameplay mechanics surrounding Hydrogen Fuel in this game. No amount of explaining away fuel tank size, hydrogen scoops, or engine size can account for the current game imbalance.
We've seen the reports on larger ships unable to reach atmosphere before running out of fuel. And the Team MSR has certainly been quite vocal about how their ship is supposed to have extended fuel range... before dropping like a rock when the tanks run dry. But I was definitely surprised that even smaller ships are plagued with this issue.
This is my experience:
I picked up a Cargo Mission at NB. One of the ones where you pick up three boxes, and take them to a delivery spot. This one was particularly attractive- One of the pickups was in NB, another was in Microtech, and the final delivery was located on Microtech as well. Only one box needed to be picked up off world at near by Clio.
Perfect, I though, this should be a fast and easy 8,000uec.... keep reading on reddit ➡
The pricing model is so laughably bad, i’m happy the community is finally catching on!
But what about the dust to crafting ratios? These are absolutely as terrible and one of the main reasons people feel forced to buy more packs. If you buy a mega bundle, you can’t even dust enough to craft a deck because the dust refund is 1/4 the value of an actual card. We should be up in arms about this too, it’s complete nonsense.
I don't even, the first time I get an up-to-date card, was pumped up as fuck
I'm going to lie down
edit: there's at least recognition of someone fucking up, that at least makes me feel better
edit: guys, I'm hugging the parcel right now, all sorted!
edit: The reason I posted this this afternoon was because I was devastated and I knew you guys would understand and as I hoped you guys had my back, I'm glad it all got resolved and I'm grateful for your words for what is definitely a firstworldproblem, hope you all manage to get one of them soon!
