Images, posts & videos related to "Acquire"
Tencent may be about to acquire Take Two Interactive.
EDIT UPDATE:
This is not a rumour based on solely this Tweet, people in the know in the Rockstar community have been talking about some form of an acquisition for months:

Also, Tencent has acquired Klei Entertainment as of yesterday, however that acquisition is unrelated to the BIG one yet to come.
Klei Entertainment is unrelated to the big takeover:
"Just to note. This isnβt related to the money Tencent was confirmed to be raising yesterday."

EDIT: Reading a lot of confusion in the comments about TTWO not wanting to go through:To explain this briefly, this is called a hostile takeover, Tencent can absolutely pursue Take Twos acquisition without the board of TTWO approving.

EDIT2: Reading other comments about hostile takeovers not being possible with large corporations, that's false, there are numerous examples of higher valued hostile takeover bids from foreign investors:
Kraft Foods Inc. and Cadbury PLC (valued at 46B USD
InBev and Anheuser-Busch (valued at 16.3B USD)
Original post:
TTWO market cap: 23.662B USD
Tencent market cap: 843.824B USD
Take Two Interactive, could also potentially reverse merger with Sony to avoid acquisition:

According to this Tweet, Tencent is raising billions of dollars to acquire a company:

Then, Jez Cordon made these series of Tweets:
Jez Corden: " Grand Tencent Auto hits differently for sure. "
Twitter User: "This is not about an acquisition, this is about Tencent making a GTA competitor"
Jez Corden: "is it?"
Jez Corden "we're in an era of market consolidation, expect to see many studios and publishers selling over the next couple of years "

Two insiders - King Ragnar (@XboxRagnar) and Daniel K from Xbox Era both heard that Microsoft is negotiating with big publisher for an acquisition. They don't seem to know each other but Ragnar says he heard same things over several months. He adds that announcement to the acquisition might not happen anytime soon(end of 21, maybe 22)

Perkz already fitting in.
"The scheme began unfolding in July as Cabrera and his representatives scrambled to explain a spike in the former Yankee's testosterone levels. Cabrera associate Juan Nunez, described by the player's agents, Seth and Sam Levinson, as a "paid consultant" of their firm but not an "employee," is alleged to have paid $10,000 to acquire the phony website. The idea, apparently, was to lay a trail of digital breadcrumbs suggesting Cabrera had ordered a supplement that ended up causing the positive test, and to rely on a clause in the collectively bargained drug program that allows a player who has tested positive to attempt to prove he ingested a banned substance through no fault of his own.
"There was a product they said caused this positive," one source familiar with the case said of Cabrera's scheme. "Baseball figured out the ruse pretty quickly."
The website was part of the presentation Cabrera and his representatives made to MLB and the players' union before the league officially charged him with a doping violation.
MLB's department of investigations quickly began asking questions about the website and the "product" β Where was the site operating from? Who owned it? What kind of product was it? β and quickly discovered that an existing website had been altered, adding an ad for the product, a topical cream, that didn't exist."
So I've been brewing a lot about what Gamestop should do next given its current market cap and the fact that we have made Gamestop an iconic brand and one of the most discussed topics worldwide.
Thesis: Gamestop is now a blank check company with immense potential.***
We need to find an acquisition target right now and push for the board to make the purchase. Lord knows, we may own enough shares to make the case. This would be a fucking nightmare for anyone short this stock and more importantly may prevent anyone from ever being a bag holder.
Martket cap is currently at $25B. WHO SHOULD WE BUY?
***Edit: Yes I know Gamestop is not literally a blank check company, but it could potentially acquire a target in exchange for shares. Yes, this is an insane thought, sure it's a volatile valuation. I have not slept for several days now. They could even merge with someone for fucks sake. This brand is worth an ass ton right now, and I JUST DON'T WANT TO EVER HAVE TO SELL.
With rumours from insider sources pointing to new Studio acquisitions being made by sony, which would these studios be in your opinion and why?
