Hey guys. New to Tor and noticed that reddit gifs, particularly RedGifs, don't load in Tor whereas other site's gifs do. I followed these steps:
Type about:config in the address bar and hit enter Click on Accept the Risk and Continue (if shown) Click on Show All (if shown) Type network.cookie.cookieBehavior in the search box Click on the edit box and remove 1 and add 0 instead Click on the save button (the blue check button) Restart the browser (if required)
and now the gifs are loading. However, I would like to know whether this is safe or whether I should reset the 'factory' settings. Thanks.
Hi guys, just wondering if anyone could help me nut out a possible future project idea for my future Python coding experiments. Perhaps something as simple as a script (something that would be useful on my resume/GIT for future IT Job applications. I'm not looking to develop anything seedy, i honestly only found out about the dark web yesterday but onion routing sounds pretty darn cool, I really have no idea where to start researching, maybe a chat program, networking tool, anyone got a good ideas? Thanks for your input!
I have seen that a lot of alt-right Trump supporters like to use technology like Tor, I2P, Zeronet etc. I think that they screwed themselves by electing Trump he seems like a kind of guy that might increase government surveillance and crack down on anonymity networks.
He doesn't seems like a guy that would care about the good use of this technology all he would care is that pedos and drug dealers use it.
Hey guys, I have a question for more experience tor users. I know that in order to avoid getting caught using tor, one shouldn't be the only tor user on a network, however, say I'm at a hotel. How would I go about being anonymous on tor if no one else in the hotel is using tor? Should I even worry about network monitoring in a hotel?
NSA and GCHQ target Tor network that protects anonymity of web users. Top-secret documents detail repeated efforts to crack Tor - Tool funded by US government and relied on by dissidents and activists - Core security of network remains intact but NSA has some success attacking users' computer
