Honestly, I have XXX shares and could make a million at anything over 1,600 a share. I was planning on dumping earlier than most but a post on here changed my mind. It said something along the lines of β€œapes with less shares need the money the most”. It hits home and and it’s too true. Will be selling on the way down

Support systemic change on every level. Share info. Upvote worthy material. Korean naked short sellers will be fined up to 100% of their order amount and could face imprisonment for a year or more as well as additional penalties up to five times the unfair profits made. Ants are showing us the way.

Korea actually halted short selling during the pandemic. They implemented the
World’s Longest Short-Selling Ban.

They are bringing the ban to an end now, but with much tougher laws in place including prison time, $100% fines of the order amount and up to 500% fines of unfair profits made due to naked short selling.

They are allowing short selling to resume on May 3rd. The Korean Capital Markets Act has been revised to specifically come down hard on naked short sellers.

United States regulators are watching this sub right now. They are looking for the information that we are handing them on a silver platter. We are making their job easier by doing the research and coming up with ideas. This intense regulator attention to this sub will lesson over time. Now is the time to shine a bright light on issues, provide evidence, and suggest solutions. Another thing that can be done is to shine a light on all of the other countries that are doing a fantastic job regulating short sellers and show the US regulators these shining examples. The time is now and each and every one of you apes, ants, and other creatures of the jungle can find valid information through a google search.

Good ideas, articles, DD, and quality memes get upvoted to the point of gathering worldwide attention.

I suggest more apes take interest in DD of how other countries are successfully battling short sellers and bring more of those stories into the light for everyone to see and to consider.

Dr. T said that apes are making a difference because regulators are passing rules on issues that we have brought to the attention of our community. Lets keep that rolling.

Korea halted short selling altogether during the pandemic. What do you think short sellers did to the United States markets during the pandemic? What do you think the markets would currently look like if short selling had been banned this whole time?

Do we need to suggest some regulations to US regulators to help protect businesses in the future against crises? Short sellers pounded on American businesses at their weakest moments during the harshest economi

Uncharted is the perfect example of a franchise that respects itself and its players. It recognizes its limits and improves with every subsequent sequel. More game developers should aspire to follow their lead instead of watering down franchises for profit and mass appeal.

I was replaying the Uncharted series recently (Uncharted 1 -> 4 and Lost Legacy) and it honestly stood out to me how beautifully crafted this franchise was and how much effort was placed into building the series. I noted a few points I believe other game developers should take note off when crafting a franchise.

1- Story and characters: The first 4 games (and to some extent Lost Legacy) focus on the same protagonists throughout and build up their stories with each subsequent release. The games are consistent with the protagonists' characterization. We grow attached to these characters and fall in love with them as we see them progress over the course of 4 games. By the time the epilogue of the fourth game came around, it felt like we've come full circle with the characters' arcs. It felt fulfilling and nostalgic. The story focused on the same characters throughout the 5 games which strengthened our emotional connection with them. This is unlike franchises that release games with a variety of different protagonists that feel unrelated to one another, simply for the sake of profit. The franchise loses its emotional impact since its difficult to care for characters you just met and said good bye to over the course of a single game.

2- Respects its players: It's clear that the Uncharted games have a lot of effort, heart and passion put into them. Unlike many franchises out there, Assassin's Creed comes to mind, Uncharted took time between subsequent releases (2 years each between the first 3 games and 4.5 years between the 3rd and the 4th) instead of rushing to get out as many games as possible as a cash cow to use the franchise name to make as much profit as possible off of the player. The story and franchise weren't milked for the sake of profit. It knew when to conclude the story of Nathan and did it beautifully instead of ruining his arc and that of the supporting characters by focusing on quantity (profit/ number of games) instead of quality (of the franchise). The series has a ton of replay value as a result of its craft with plenty of incentive for players to visit the games time and time again.

3- Improves with each subsequent release: Each subsequent release of the Uncharted games (considering Lost Legacy as an extension of 4) improves upon its predecessor. They noted what was missing in the previous releases and improved upon it. Now some people prefer 2 to 3, but one can't deny that they are still both on the same tier and that Un

How to profit from billions of Cicadas flooding the east coast

For those who don't know, in 1-2 weeks BILLIONS of cicadas will come out from the ground in the Eastern US, with numbers peaking the last week of May.

https://www.nj.com/news/2021/05/2021-cicadas-13-facts-about-the-brood-x-cicada-invasion-maps-when-they-will-emerge.html

The best options plays were made 12 months ago. And I know everything is priced in yada yada. But is there any way to profit from this? Agriculture, commodities, certain restaurants, etc? Are any companies tied to pest control publicly traded?

I'm no cicada-ologist but the only issue I can find with these is that they're loud. Not destructive like locusts. If any wrinkle brains here know about cicadas that'd be great.

Looking to profit in the swarm's emergence and again in the clean up.

When I started trading years ago, my profits on the third stock I ever bought exceeded $250k within 6 weeks. I ultimately sold for half of that number. Here is what I wish I knew back then.

The Psychology of Selling, Scalping, the Fear of Missing Out, and Why You Shouldn't Get Too Attached to Prices

There have been a lot of posts about selling on here β€” People asking when they should sell, others telling users when not to sell...so, I thought it might be helpful for the new traders to hear some real-life examples of what it's like when a retail trader starts to make real money in the stock market. I also think it might be beneficial for the more experienced traders to learn other strategies and hear different thought processes.

Why You Should Trust People Will Hold Until the Ceiling

Take it from me, guys, as someone who has profited over $50k+ dozens of times on a single stock, only to hold and watch my profits dwindle down as the price fell back to my average...I assure you, selling too early is not something we need to worry about.

Selling is the hardest part of trading. When you start seeing gains snowball, $1k, $2k, $4k, $8k..., it's going to be difficult to decide to sell. You're always going to hope your gains keep doubling, because greed is stronger than fear and regret.

Here's an example:

Last December, I was holding a stock that made a pretty decent profit in a short amount of time. I decided to make the "smart choice" for once and sell off half of my shares, worth about $20k. The next day I wasn't really paying attention to the market because I was getting ready for an event. Around 8:45pm I realized the market closed and I hadn't checked my portfolio all day. When I logged into my account, I saw the that stock I sold off the day before was up another 120%. I dropped my phone and facepalmed, hard. It was no exaggeration or overreaction. It ruined my night. Losing potential profit for some reason can feel worse than losing real capital. It's a strange phenomenon

Don't get me wrong, playing it safe and profit-taking is not a bad thing. I just want people to realize it can be extremely frustrating when you miss out on huge gains.

Alternatively, a year prior, the opposite situation occurred on a much larger scale. I was up about $150k+ on a single stock in less than a month and was expecting great PR to come out. It eventually did, but the month-long run turned out to be a sell the news, pump & dump. Almost immediately after the press release came out, it dropped about 55%. My phone died on the way to work and by the time I got to my computer, I had lost about $76k (profit) in the span of abo

Petition to ban Gain Porn posts during the squeeze so shills won't get their "OMG I SOLD FOR 1000% profit" and everyone gets to decide their own price (DD for what the peak might be should still be allowed IMO)

I am by no means an experienced trader, but I feel like selling early is going to be a problem rather than selling late. By banning gain porn during the squeeze the chance of people falling for the FUD should be a lot smaller. Maybe we can allow people we know and trust to tell us their plan, but exact selling prices or moments will have a great impact on the poeple reading DD and seems to me like some semi-financial advice.

Gerard PiquΓ©'s long interview about his life, from his childhood to the ESL: "The Superleague destroys the system in the name of profits. Do we want Sevilla, Valencia, Everton, Leicester & Napoli to dissappear? because that's where it's going. It's an American model, with its bad and good things"

Gerard Piqué reviewed his career and current sporting news in a wide-ranging interview with the programme Universo Valdano, on Movistar +. The Barcelona centreback touched on several topics, including the Superliga. On the one hand, he was sympathetic to Barça's position, which he sees as having economic roots, but on the other hand, more personally, he rejected the new competition. For Piqué, it would be lethal for domestic competitions.

The Cup title
"We needed it. The team deserved it. We have been playing well, with good results. Playing football that we recognise more. In the cup we suffered a lot throughout the competition. The final was a relief, a game that went very well for us".

A title that gives them energy
"Yes, we're depending on ourselves and the cup has given us extra motivation, to see that we're doing well. At Barça you are always obliged to win something. I think we needed it. Now you're calmer because you've done part of the work. Even if it's true that La Liga and the Champions League are different types of competitions".

He comes from a wealthy family
"My family is upper middle class. I have never lacked anything. I will be grateful for it all my life. From there, I joined Barça when I was 10 years old. That's where I found a different reality. At school you have classmates with lives similar to yours. Football is born in the street, it lives in the street. It opens up a new world for you. It's great for your mind, you see that there is another profile of people different from you. Different ways of looking at life. I have always valued it a lot. From the age of 10 to 17, when I went to United. People I wouldn't have crossed paths with in the street and I'm proud that they are part of my life".

Strangeness?
"Football is a universal language and you understand each other immediately. It doesn't matter the club. Creating experiences with people who are different from you is good for you. It should be compulsory for children to play team sports. So they can see that there are other worlds, other cultures. Everything you experience, you share, it helps you to think as a team. It's good for everything. Then it's super healthy, of course. Being part of a team is basic".

CulΓ© passion
"It comes to me from a very young age. The day I was born I became a member of Barça. It's a constant, a monotheme

Crypto is NOT easy for newbies (especially those with modest sums to invest)---in the short-term this may actually result in greater profits for those invested now.

Hi! So, I'm new to crypto and I follow the "don't invest money you can't afford to lose" motto. The challenges of trying to get into crypto are numerous. A few examples of the challenges for a newbie trying to figure this out:

  1. You need to find an exchange or exchanges to buy crypto. Okay, I'll just sign-up. Sure, just fill out this information, provide your SS#, take a picture of your passport or driver's license, then upload a picture of your face, and all other personal info we want. Now wait. Maybe we'll approve you, maybe not. You just sit there and we'll let you know. Never mind we just took all this personal info from you.
  2. You are approved on 3 exchanges. Time to buy. Okay, as a new investor with limited funds I will buy $10 worth of coin X. Cool. You now own $9.01 of coin X. We took 99 cents as a fee (ya, that's ten percent....and wait until you try and transfer or sell). Also, we gave you 24.8574739 of coin X. We took your money for 24.8574739 coins, but we only allow you to sell or transfer whole coins for this particular coin. Welcome to "crypto dust". Ugh! Okay let's try exchange number 2. This exchange doesn't take ACHs so go back to the first exchange and buy some ETH or BTC and then transfer those coins to us. Pay a fee to buy. Pay a fee to transfer (my favorite as a newbie was transferring about $20 of ETH and having it cost about $30 with gas). Then on the new exchange you need to exchange that to USDT because that is all you can use to buy the coin you want. Pay a fee for that. Then use USDT to buy the coin. Another fee. Then move the coin to your own wallet. Fee. Anyhow, in summary, buying coins when your investment money is limited is not easy for newbies. (It doesn't take long to learn to find places with much better fees and to use coins that are cheaper to transfer).
  3. Learn the lingo. What the heck is gas? Blockchain. Dust. Seed phrase. Decentralized. NFT. And a zillion others.
  4. Join reddit and see people talking about how coin Y is great and nobody can believe more people aren't going to buy coin Y since coin Y is about to do some great stuff and everyone who owns some now is going to make a great profit. This is before the newbie learns that people are constantly talking non-stop about how awesome their coin is to bump the price of their holdings up. Also, the newbie must learn that there are bots and old reddit profiles taken over that are just trying to pump and dump.
  5. Finally you learn you really need to do your

Doug(and likely a number of the PCs) is pretty much certain to get an overpaid do nothing job in reward for the highly profitable active negligence that has been Ontario's' pandemic response.

Thats not incompetence, its an active betrayal of the trust of citizens as they were sacrificed for his profit.

If you sell before the squeeze peaks thinking you will take some profits on the way up there will be no squeeze

Seriously, you think it's just you but if a million apes sell even one share when this hits $1000+ before we let it reach its potential then you'd just shot yourself in the foot (you = everyone who does this and everyone else too)

This is what the hedgefunds want.

This is all you need to get into your skull for the weekend.

I'm not telling you what to do but just sharing some knowledge.

PLEASE READ: The Importance of Taking Profits During Stock Rebounds Like Today

Hey Reddit! Looks like today is a GREAT day to be in a lot of sectors - seeing green all around - finally! Whether you're a seasoned investor or brand new to this, just want to remind you all that there is NOTHING wrong with taking profits off the table during these rebound sessions.

Covid has made a very interesting market right now where often different sectors push and pull the market in inverse ways. Often one dips and the others push. Airlines versus tech is a great example of this.

Don't be afraid to sell one side of the equation and take some money off the table, to later reinvest in the same sector, or another sector that is dipping. You DONT ALWAYS have to yolo and go in for the long run - even a few thousand in winning is still GREAT.

If after rebounds you're still down, take an honest look at whether to cut losses and reinvest in a different sector. The expression 'down with the ship' is often used, but even if you laugh about it and post a meme - at the end of the day you've still lost money - and there's nothing really funny about that, regardless of how you rationalize it.

The key question is: When exactly do you take profits? Most traders take profits either too early and leave money on the table. Or they take profits too lateβ€”after a stock has already made a high and is now turning around. In this article, I will show you my favorite profit-taking strategy for stock market trading.

What Is a Profit-Taking Strategy?

A profit-taking strategy defines when exactly you sell your stock (or option) to realize a profit. Many traders don’t have a profit-taking strategy in place when trading. Often they say:Β β€œI’ll sell the stock when I've made enough money.” The problem: There’s never β€œenough money.”

Often traders are too greedy and expect ONE stock to make up for all the money they lost in the past. That’s why they hold onto a stock for too long. These days, trends are short-lived, and markets can turn around on a dime. If you don’t have a solid profit-taking strategy for your trading, you could end up leaving a lot of money on the table!

How Do You Create an Exit Strategy?

I personally like to keep it simple. Here’s a simple, yet powerful, profit-taking strategy: P = 2 x R

This means: Take profits when you make twice as much money as you risk. Here’s an example: I highly recommend using the 2% rule for your risk, i.e., you should never risk more than 2% of your trading account on any given trade. So. if

'black history month', 'women's history month', 'pride month', etc have completely lost any ability to forward these groups of people in anyway and are instead just woke activism tag lines used for companies to profit by inserting the proper hashtag into their tweet

It doesn't have too big of an effect on me, but honestly as someone who holds no animosity towards a group of people for gender, sex, race, etc, I find these months just very petty and pointless. At a certain point, we need more than 12 groups of people to highlight and now we're just picking different groups of people.

Black/Women's history is part of American history, not separate. The more we try to divide ourselves into more and more groups, the less united we become. We do not right the wrongs of the past by presently OVERLY highlighting the people slighted in the past. We treat them with equality. And until there's no Jewish history month, I won't give two shits about any other group or people's month because it just makes my group of people feel left out.

No one acts differently during these times towards any group of people. There are just more school assemblies and more ads from amazon saying 'we care'. This type of fake activism blurrs the line between good and evil and takes advantage of real activists actions and accomplishments.

It reminds me of the parade day episode of Futurama where Dr. Farnsworth talks about a 'dark time' when they had a parade to celebrate something every day. Now they just put it into one day called 'parade day'. If every month/day is a holiday or supposed to represent something, then their all just meaningless.

If hedgies let the price run up to 15 or 20 over next few days please DO NOT take any profits. If people start selling even a portion of their shares, you’ll start to see borrow rate go back down. I understand for some it will be hard because we have gotten so use to red days.

Together we MUST hold....
