Silicon Valley monopolies have made Zoomers terrible with computers and that's awful for any chance of fighting back against neoliberalism. All they know how to do is use interfaces designed to make everything as easy as possible.

I work as a sys admin in a Silicon Valley company. Recently I have noticed how absolutely terrible Zoomers are with computers if it doesn't have an easy to use interface. Forget using the command line, these people are incapable of accessing file shares with explicit instructions on how to do it. They can't even map drives. They are literally awful at everything unless it has an easy to use interface.

I've even had to teach multiple programmers fresh out of college how to use Git. I don't even use GitHub or any of their competitors very often because the only thing I really program is Python or Powershell scripts, but this stuff can be literally googled and solved with 5 minutes of work. Yet they open up tickets with us because they are getting errors claiming they don't have access to things when they should just look up on Stack Overflow.

Then there is our Zoomer helpdesk, which literally is incapable of solving any problems. I can see their chats and it is the blind leading the blind. The most cringe shit ever. We get stuff escalated to our team which is the most basic shit that Gen X or Millenial employees can easily do. This isn't generational warfare because I'm only 30. But they seriously can't do jack shit and we hire from some of the best schools in the nation.

I think this comes down to how easy everything with computers today. You don't have to troubleshoot opening up ports or getting things saved to the right file or anything like that. It's just point and click. Literally that if it's on your phone or tablet.

And I don't mean to make this a rant about my job, but my experience plus talking to others has shown me how screwed we are because this is happening everywhere. If you think about it, none of these younger people unless they are huge nerds are going to know how to actually use computers. If everyone is only trained on a few interfaces, how can they navigate around corporate censorship? How can they use Tor or a VPN or do anything not controlled by Amazon or Microsoft? When the average user just points and clicks on their phone, they are only seeing what the biggest corporations want them to see. They are easily controlled consoomers and are just going to repeat what they say.

I don't mean to be a Doomer, but I hardly hear anyone talking about this. And then when you combine this with how bad most Americans are with Math and Statistics, who is going to think critically?

Am I crazy or is this not the straight up truth?

Silicon Valley AI company $SSFT is the next AITX

Edit: Second Gem here : https://www.reddit.com/r/pennystocks/comments/l5gvv8/iwsy_imageware_systems_biometric_security_company/

Two months ago, I wrote a DD here about AITX when it was traded at 0.0010
Looking for the next TSNP? $AITX is ready for it. : pennystocks (reddit.com)

People were skeptical rightfully so; I mean look at it it got only 17 upvotes then. I managed to turn my 17k into over 450k in two months and my DD proved itself despite naysayers.

I went on to research other hidden gems that bottomed out with big upwards potential. I have found 2(maybe 3) penny stocks that might rip the sky in 2021. Here is the first one.

SSFT : Sonasoft Corp. https://www.sonasoft.com

Why: Company has been founded by tech veteran Andy Khanna in 2003 in Silicon Valley. Their initial focus was Data migration, Data storage and Data management. With AI tech growing and expanding Big Data business company started to invest in AI technologies and in 2018 acquired Silicon Valley IT solutions company Cornerstone and and AI company Hotify thus became an A to Z, IT, Big Data, AI company offering a unique expertise.

I’ve noticed several Silicon Valley engineers are obsessed with marathon running, biking 50 miles, and doing some incredible physical fitness challenges. Whats up with this and where did this all come from?

I was having a discussion with someone about this the other day.

In the Bay Area, it’s such a common conversation to talk about how low your pulse rate and then use that to brag about how you biked windy hill in portola valley last weekend...then eventually, talk about your product and then get more funding. In most places, if you told someone you did that over the weekend, you’d get a reaction of make a Tv show about that...as I love burgers, fries, my dark beer, and my couch too much to pursue that life and it sounds fun to watch... or I got better things to do like not torture myself.

Just kidding. It probably would be about politics or how the packers played or something like that.

But what is up with this Bay Area obsession with fitness? People talk about the sf marathon or tough mudder and they wear their overpriced athleisure clothing from lululemon and are always in sneakers even if it is a Saturday night.

Offered a job in silicon valley

Working in Toronto based company paying 120k CAD, a FAANG company offered me 180k USD including RSUs. I'm tempted to decline it to continue living here with my fiancΓ© who wouldn't be able to find a job there. Together we would gross 180k CAD. My family is also here. Am I making the right decision?

$GHIV aka United Wholesale Mortgage Company (UWMC) is mentioned 4x in Bloomberg today as the title states.

See article here:
