If you eat Romaine lettuce do you ignore the carbs since it's lettuce?
Tracking my carbs and noticed 3 cups is around 5 carbs which shocked me. I love salads and can eat them often but should I just enjoy my salad and not worry about the carbs in lettuce or treat it as everything else i eat when it comes to counting carbs?

Romaine Lettuce - I'm wondering what those little white dots are in the middle of the stalks? They seem to be travelling up the center, only viewable when cut. Thanks.

Iceberg lettuce is superior to romaine, butter, etc.
Romaine and other types of lettuce are okay. Iceberg is amazing.
Iceberg lettuce is crunchy. Itβs like watery, which I like. It also doesnβt have as much of a taste, which isnβt a huge factor in my love for it, but I like it!
My biggest factor for my love for it is the texture. Crunchy and wet. Beautiful.

After weeks of trying I've finally gotten them to eat some veggies. Romaine lettuce, blanched by boiling for 1 minute then immediately dropped in ice cold water. They won't touch it at first, but start going nuts for it after about 12 hours of it being placed in the tank.

Is it possible to add too many types of greens to a green smoothie? My recipe includes- spinach, kale, romaine lettuce, avacado, an apple, lemon, and pineapple.
I ask this because of all the recipes I see there is usually two types of vegetables & the rest fruit. I got to thinking...am I over doing it?

Romaine Lettuce Tastes Like Dirt and Iceberg Lettuce Is Way Better
Romaine lettuce tastes like dirt. The texture is comparable to that of iceberg lettuce but the flavor is comparable to that of dirt. Due to the fact it doesn't taste like dirt, iceberg lettuce is automatically the better culinary choice. People will say romaine lettuce has more nutrients which is true, but this shouldn't come as a surprise being that it tastes like dirt and dirt contains organic matter and minerals. Romaine lettuce is a trendy gimmick which is currently enjoying great success but when the masses eventually come to their senses and realize it tastes like dirt compared to iceberg lettuce, it will certainly be relegated to the niche produce category where it belongs.
