For all you non Aussies, EFTPOS is absolutely massive. EFTPOS basically runs the entire debit payment system in Australia for the majority of transactions including debit tap and go.

By going direct to QR codes they can bypass the gateway provider, save $$, collect more marketing data and sell it. Although the article doesn't mention using Hedera, one can only assume it absolutely is as they've been trialing it with their in house app beam. If Aussies start moving to this the transaction volume will blow through the roof.

Check in, check out: Payment via QR code to roll out by Christmas:
Consumers will soon be able to pay for their groceries and other retail purchases by scanning a QR code, with payments provider Eftpos set to roll out the new checkout option by Christmas.
Major banks CBA and NAB, alongside supermarket giants Coles and Woolworths, have partnered with Eftpos to launch its new eQR payment platform which it expects will significantly transform Australiaβs payments landscape, similar to the introduction of βtap and goβ payments in 2007.
Eftpos chief executive Stephen Benton said he expected uptake of the new payment option to be swift given how familiar shoppers are with QR codes due to the pandemic.

Can anyone recommend an ordering platform that guests can use to order and pay at their table by scanning a QR code (that's associated with the specific table)? Ideally something a guest doesn't have to download an app for --and even more ideally, works with BreadCrumb/Upserve/LightSpeed api (whatever they're calling themselves now...).
Trying to move into a more casual seating/ordering system and hopefully reduce some of our FOH staff, in hopes of directing more of our labor budget to the BOH.
Any suggestions/questions really appreciated!
