LPT: if you’re traveling in a foreign country where you don’t speak the language, take a business card from your hotel, and a picture of the front of the building. If you get lost and need a taxi back, you can show the picture and business card to the driver and you won’t need to speak.

In the Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), when a corpse is revealed under the dining table, the actors were genuinely shocked. None of them knew that the body was there – with one exception, Tim Curry, because he was the one who had to whip the tablecloth off.
LPT- You may not like being in pictures or taking them, but you will hate that you have no photos of some time period when you’re older. Take pictures even if it is out of your comfort zone occasionally, for your future self.
My wife has taken hundreds of pictures throughout our marriage and I only recently started. She has basically documented the whole time we’ve been together and I am extremely grateful for it. She has pictures from the day we met that we wouldn’t have if she didn’t snap a quick ‘for memories’ picture. You may hate the way you look, but years from now you will be glad you ignored that and took a photo.
I also want to comment on the people who said ‘people didn’t always have technology’. That is a horrible excuse to not preserve memories. Because you’re too old fashioned? Cameras are a century and a half old at this point. You’re just being stubborn and pseudo ‘mystical’ to say you want to cherish the ‘spirit of the memories’ and never take a single picture. Lots of tech was lived without a long time ago but using it as a tool and not a crutch can bring us closer together as people and as a family.
I love Rob but he looks like a cheesy boy band member from the 90’s in this picture.

AITA for not wanting to hang my husband's friend's wedding picture in my house?
My husband's friends recently got married and said they had a gift for us as a thank you for helping with various things for the wedding. Turns out it is a copy of their wedding photo and we aren't the only friends they're giving them out to.
After they left I was telling my husband how weird I thought it was that someone would give a wedding photo to anyone other than their parents. My husband said he didn't get where I was coming from and I explained that I thought it came off as kind of narcissistic since most people wouldn't want someone else's wedding photo in their house.
My husband got mad and said ITA and is saying we should hang their wedding photo next to ours and the photos of our kids. We have plenty of normal photos of our friends where we are all together which I am fine with I just don't see why anyone would want someone's wedding portrait hanging in their home, like 'ode to us'?
And we've only known them 2 years. My sister who is also married backed me up and said it's weird to expect someone to hang your very personal photo in their house but my husband says I'm being unfriendly and rude. AITA?
- The husband works in the same building as my husband and they have almost nothing to do with each other, not for want of my poor hubbs trying. My husband always wants to hang out with him but guy friend has his own huge group of friends. It's very clear that guy friend sees my husband as a nice bloke but is not all that bothered by being best buds with him.
- They hang out 1-2 a month because guy friend never makes more time than that and my husband often bends over backwards to be accommodating to guy friend's needs and schedule to keep him happy. Frankly, there is an imbalance of respect that I don't like but my husband doesn't have many friends so I say nothing. He is quite sensitive about this.
- Spoke to husband about it all and he admitted he wouldn't have hung the photo himself IF they hadn't presented it in a frame. He felt he HAD to hang it because he thinks that is what guy friend EXPECTS him to do. He said he's not bothered about the photo he just doesn't want his guy friend to think he's an asshole.
- We are not putting it on the wall or anywhere else on display. It's going in our album along with the photos we took at the wedding. The frame is ugly, doesn't go with the decor (yes I care about this stuff sue me) and my husband doesn't care either. He's only scared of looking like a 'bad friend' so I said if they m
