There are 5 inmates on death row in a secret prison and I've been tasked with eating their sins. Envy eats nothing, but its own heart.

LUST

GREED

To say it’s been a rough 48 hours would be a gross understatement. And I do mean gross.

My body did not react to the food very well and as I stared down at the now empty bowl, my world grew hazy and my body became limp as toxic shock overcame me.

For a while, I simply floated in the stygian void between worlds. I saw very little save for flashes of bioluminescent colours, beautiful patterns that raced past my eyes and bore into my skull, pushing the endorphins out to my aching limbs. I could hear voices off in the distance, but I was so high above it all that it mattered very little.

As I concentrated, shapes would convalesce and form out of the dredges of darkness. Bountiful planets, beauteous stars and stellar galaxies that appeared far closer than they actually were, each individual strand of its great cosmic arms winking at me in morse code. A greeting? No, a warning.

“S. O. S.”

Something else formed on the fringe of my peripheral vision; a vacuous black hole with an event horizon that spanned the stretch of my view. It was a bright orange hue with a thick, pungent red that pulsated as the hole grew larger, devouring anything that came near it with great expediency.

Then, out of its murky depths, a long arm punctured the blackness. Colossal and pulling itself free as a body began to emerge.

The same spectre that’s plagued me since before I got onto the plane here. It unhinged its jaws and began biting down on a nearby planet, ripping it to pieces with razor teeth and staining its teeth as if the planet were a ripe fruit.

Stretching out its gnarled fingers once more, it clenched a fist around the planet, holding up five fingers with the free hand, the other firmly shut on the crumbled planet as it cackled in such a wicked way that it snapped me from my sleep.

"FIVE."

-

The first thing I felt when I awoke was a pounding sensation in my head. Mainly because as I snapped awake and stood up, my skull collided with The Wardens in a sickening thud.

“ACH! Mein got woman, I was just inspecting you to ensure there was no lasting damage!” He stumbled back, clutching his forehead as I did my own. Nestor rushed in and looked read

Forget powergaming, have some Underpowered Archetypes. Make weak characters, challenge yourself, defeat the odds!

Sometimes it's nice to play a minmaxed destroyed and go to town, but sometimes it's fun to do a level 1 run in dark souls, or play dishonored with no powers, or do an Ironman run in Diablo.

It can be fun to make your life intentionally harder. It can give life to interesting stories your god-mode build would never experience, and offer new challenges that would be trivial on a better character.

Here are 7 archetypes that you can apply to any character to make them worse, but flavorful, offering new options both mechanically and for roleplay.

Note: all of the listed modifiers apply on top of those you normally receive from your race, and do not replace them except where specified.

#Void Touched

You have been touched by the Far Realms, perhaps you met an otherwordly entity, or you lived in a village hiding a cult. Maybe you were part of the cult yourself, or you studied things that no mortal was meant to know.

Whatever the reason, entities from the far realm have a connection to you, and their influence has spread to your mind and body, and you have suffered from it. The exact details are up to you, or can be left to randomness. Here are some ideas.

Minor mutations

  1. Occasionally you hear whispers.
  2. You have small tentacles growing in a bizarre place.
  3. Your dreams offer visions and images of real places and distant realms.
  4. Your shadow is wrong, it doesn't always follow and doesn't look quite right.
  5. Sometimes you shiver, feeling as if something was crawling over you.
  6. Patches of feathers and fish scales grow over your body.
  7. Squids and snails are friendly towards you.
  8. You can't see the moon.

Ability Scores: -2 to Constitution and Wisdom.

Sight beyond sight: You can see perfectly in natural darkness as if you were in bright light, but bright light is considered dim light. You can discern color, but they will sometimes be wrong. This replaces your normal vision.

Knowledge from beyond: You have proficiency in Perception and History checks. You just know things, things that happened in the past, things around you. Who knows where this knowledge comes from.

Successful checks in any of these skills may come accompanied by vision or memories that don’t belong to you.

Used to hiding: You have proficiency in Deception and Stealth. You rely on both more than any simple criminal ever will.

Salvation: When you would die, as your spirit lingers between life and death, the far realms a

I am 30 years old make $33.50/hour as a Pediatric ER RN living in Chicago.

Section One: Assets and Debt

Retirement Balance:

Total: $91,377

How I got there: I’ve been working since I was 14 and have always been a “big saver.” I worked full-time during the summer from 15-22 and part-time during the school year. When I was younger, I saved ~50% of every paycheck.

Roth IRA: $65,361 (changes day to day but that’s what it is today)

403(b): $12,273 - this is my employer sponsored plan. I contribute 10% per paycheck and my employer is supposed to match 3% but their contributions have been paused since July 🤪🙄 They plan to restart in the new year but… we’ll see.

Rollover IRA: $13,743

Savings account balance:

Total: $214,552

HSA: $6,200

Money market account: $4,500 - I keep 4-6 months of emergency money in here and invest the rest.

Brokerage: $203,352 as of this morning. In the last year, I’ve received $100K in inheritances ($50K from my grandpa’s death and a combined $50K from the death of my great-grandmother, great-aunt, and the sale of their home. The sale of their home was split between me, my 2 sisters, and our mom [not equally, our mom was left with 70% and my sisters and I each left w/ 10%] - the home sold for just over $400k). So, approximately half is from my own contributions and gains.

M and I are buying a condo or a home this summer and I’ll be using some of this money for the down payment.

Checking account balance: $500

Debts:

Credit card debt: $0

Student loan debt (for what degree): $0. My parents paid for my first college degree. I took out around $20,000 in federal subsidized loans for my nursing degree and paid them off a few weeks ago.

Car Loan: $325/month. This will be paid off this month. It started at just over $12,000 5 years ago. I could’ve paid it off sooner but my interest rate is just under 1.0% so I did other things with my money.

Section Two: Income

Income Progression:

I worked as a lifeguard from 14-19 and lifeguard manager from 19-22 both at home over the summer/school breaks and in college. I started off making minimum wage and received a raise every year ($0.50/year lol) until I became a manager and then I crossed the $15 threshold. When I graduated college 23-26, I went full-time in my aquatics job making $21/hour and had good benefits because it was a government job. At 26, my BF & I moved to the city so I left my job to go to nursing school and work part-time at a hospital where I made $17/hour. I graduated with my BSN at 28. My first year as a

My NMom is mad I got a job & those who have gone LC/NC what are your experiences?

Throwaway because I’m superduper paranoid. I have tried to stick to the most important factors that have lead up to thinking about LC/NC to lessen the length but it’s still pretty long...😬

For the last several years I have helped take care of my Mother and her home after multiple hip, knee, shoulder surgeries for months at a time. At first it was just the few days afterwards but then I essentially acted as her “home care aid” as she did not like the visiting nurses/aides they sent to her house. She told me she had a way to pay me through her insurance if I was willing to devote 8-9 hours 3-4 days a week cleaning and helping her out. I figured that would work out and cover the $ I would lose for cutting back my hours for my regular job which I ended up eventually giving my notice to be able to keep up with my NMoms needs and demands. I’ve had friends that did this through insurance with their family members before so I had no real reason to suspect she could be lying. However, at that point in time was well before I sought therapy and literally had the “blinders” ripped off.

At first this was just a part-time thing until she reached the end of her recovery period/times. When it came time to get paid though She claimed there was issues with the insurance company and that she would pay me daily in cash if that was ok with me. She did say she couldn’t afford what the insurance company would pay me but she could do at least $30-$40 for a day. I know what most are probably thinking, if I’m working 8-9 hours a day that’s roughly $4.00-5.00 an hour... But again at that time I was not-so blissfully aware. My reasoning was that she’s my Mom and I should still help no matter what... 😕

After about a year of a surprisingly semi-normal routine with minimal drama things shifted into the fast lane to non-stop drama and fighting (not physical). The normal routine was no longer good enough. The to-do lists became longer and longer as well as much more time-consuming. No matter what I did it was still not enough. She would always find something wrong or have something happen that was subsequently my fault. Like if something fell out of the fridge it’s because I moved the head of broccoli to a different shelf.

Things continued like this for a while before I learned to tune it out. Big mistake! It was like I hit the big green “GO!”buzzer.

One of her new thing was to accuse me of stealing random items from her home. From clothes to dishes and cups to towels, face clothe

My wife and I want to cook some uncommon dish every other week. What’s a unique dish you enjoy we can add to our repertoire?

We want a fun hobby of trying new and non traditional meals as a way of spending more time together. We love all kinds of food, although she’s a bit more sensitive to spice recently (i still love it). We’re both pretty decent cooks, not great, but better than average i would think. What’s a fun dish that might bring a unique style and flavor to our home?

To clarify, were from the US!

Edit: Here's the list up to this point if anyone wants to toss their hand in the basket as well! I'll add one, its called Bitterballen

Edit 2: Holy hell batman... theres so many! Im struggling to keep up/recognize doubles!

Edit 3: I’ve spun the wheel. My first endeavor is thankfully an easy one to start with... Shakshouka! Coming up for some Sunday breakfast!

Edit 4: Alright, I think I've gone through every PM and added them to the list! 234 dishes in total!! I didn't add a few (looking at you grilled cheese and 7 cheese toastie guys/gals) cause those don't fit the bill of adventurous foods. Some people have linked a specific recipe, so i advise you ctrl+F the dish if it gets selected and see if you can find their favorite one!

Happy eating anyone that attempts this! If someone wants to make a sub like r/randomrecipeoftheweek or something you're more than welcome to yank this post and get the ball rolling. I don't have time to manage that.

Feasts and Farms Update - A Hypothetical Revision of Cooking and Farming

Hunger and Farming Currently

This may just me but do any of you ever think that hunger is never really an issue once you have a farm or a good source of food? How you can automatically get a lot of stacks of food and would never need to venture into new sources of food? What if we actually encouraged players to have a more diverse diet while also bring back some challenges to the nutrition side of gameplay.

Today, I will be sharing what I think could be what I call, The Feasts and Farming Update.

New Hunger and Food Mechanics

To start off, The Hunger will still function the same way it always has, The bar itself resembles how full you are but perhaps it's time to finally have an official in-game way to distinguish Saturation. Gold Rings around the sprites as seen in certain mods should work fine.

But there will now be a repetition mechanic, Where the more you eat a type of food, the less filling it becomes so the less effective it will become until you take a break from it.

There are 3 levels to this, which you will experience, Enjoyable, Tolerable, and Unsatisfied. And keep in mind that this will only apply in Medium or Hard difficulty.

Enjoyable means that you have just started eating this type of food

Tolerable is when you have eaten more than 16 in a single day and you will have to way a full day for it to revert back. during this, food is 25% less effective.

Then there is Unsatisfied, you've eaten a stack of a single food item in the span of 3 days and your character will lose 50% of its effectiveness and will make you have to eat twice as much of the food in order to fill up. So this will encourage the player to start having a varied diet.

Food will no longer be able to be stacked up to 64, instead, it will be lowered to 16 for meats and 32 for plant-based foods. The meat will have the eating animation play but Less filling foods will be eaten in a single bite, much like in the older days of Minecraft. making it faster to eat on the fly but there is a 0.5-second cool-down until you can take another bite.

Now, this may make food management a lot harder but if you only focus on one source of food, the less useful other foods seem to become. As of now, the most complex foods are Mushroom Stew, Beetroot soup, Rabbit Stew, Pumpkin Pie, Cookies, and Cake, and due to their complexity compared to more accessible foods, they have very little reason to be made.

So it's time that I introduce a new work station to finally add to your kitchens

[Table] I am Alex and I run The Pipsqueakery, a 501c3 rodent and rabbit rescue that focuses on special needs small animals (and some large like our capybaras). Ask me anything! (pt 2/2 FINAL)

Source | Previous table

Questions Answers
Hi Alex! I follow you on Facebook and Instagram and have done for a long time. I hope you guys are okay. My question is, how many animals do you estimate have come through your doors? I've always loved seeing the work you do and the care you give. I've loved hamsters all my life and I adore you and Jason for treating them with the care they deserve. Thank you for caring for so many small friends, and big ones too. Probably about 3000 over the years. Every year the numbers just get bigger and bigger though.
Aside from cleaning religiously, what's a good way to keep mice and rats in a way that's healthy for them but also keeps the room smelling nice? I love the little ones but their pee is pungeant. Getting the males neutered makes a huge difference. Other than that, a bigger cage and endless cleaning. They're kinda smelly animals honestly.
Hi Alex (and Jason), So cool to hear about this. I was wondering (1)do you guys get attached? (2)Is it hard to let go?(3) How did you get into it? I know these are quite a bit of questions but I am super into what you guys are doing (or is it just “into you guys” idk!). Kind regards, xXHacker69Xx 1. Yes. It's impossible not to. It makes the losses really hard, but if we didn't get attached and love them all then I think it would probably be a sign to stop rescuing.
2. Incredibly hard.
3. Here's the story:
Our first syrian hamster, Pipsqueak, passed away after 4 months of having her after being quite sick. We adopted her from a shelter that didn't know her sex or type of hamster much less that she had medical issues. In retrospect she probably had an infection called pyometra but we didn't know and didn't have a vet who knew at that point. She passed away during my first week of law school, and at that point I knew that animals like her, rodents, didn't have a place to go where they would be able to receive adequate care if they were sick because we could barely provide it despite our very valiant attempts and many many vet visits.
Then, during law school one of the primary extracurriculars I participated in was helping victims of domestic violence get protective order. As you can imagine that's pretty tough work emotionally and you often see repeat clients because the cycle of abuse makes it very likely that their abuser will convince the victim that the abuser has changed and to drop

I’m 27, work as an Administrative Assistant in Albany, NY, and this week I spent some of my money on cider donuts

(Oops, I forgot the flair...)

Assets and Debt:

Retirement balance: $7000. I started my 401(k) when I was eligible at my current company and have put in 13% since.

Savings account balance: $14,000

Checking account balance: $11,000

Credit card balance: $1100 when the diary starts, which is my spending since my August statement date. September’s statement balance gets paid off during the diary.

Student loan balance: $12,900 from a degree in English because I intended to be a technical writer. Currently on pandemic forbearance.

Car loan: $1900 when the diary starts

Income Progression

I really have nothing to say for myself. I had a $10/hour internship in technical writing when I was in college, and since then I’ve had one $17/hour job anywhere near that field (I did layout and proofreading), and otherwise worked retail while trying to get a job. Finally I got my current job which was $19/hour when I started and now closer to $20/hour.

Income

TWO PAYCHECK MONTH: $2100 after $410 to my 401(k), $64 for health/dental/vision insurance, and taxes

THREE PAYCHECK MONTH: $3250 after $615 to my 401(k), $96 for health/dental/vision insurance, and taxes (October is a three paycheck month for me.)

Side job monthly takehome: $100-$150, PRE-TAX since it’s paid on a 1099

My partner and I do not pool our incomes. After the household bills he pays and the ones I pay, we have about the same amount remaining. I’m being vague about his job and income partly for his privacy and partly because I think it would be identifying.

Monthly fixed expenses

My partner pays rent, gas, and electric in full, it’s $1500 or less depending on gas and electric use

Auto + renter’s insurance: $200 (I pay in full)

Internet: $75 (I pay in full)

Trash: $26 (I pay in full)

(Edit for clarity: Neither of us gives the other any money toward the bills we each pay. I do not give him any money towards rent. I effectively do not pay rent and he effectively does not pay the smaller bills.)

Phone: $25 (my line on a family plan. My parents pay for 30 gigs of data to be shared by everyone on the plan.)

Car payment: $300 minimum (but I’ve been paying $900 to finish it off)

Student loan payment: $205 (not due so I’m not paying it until the forbearance ends. I am saving it with the intent of sending it to the loans: $1640 so far.)

Donations: $10 per paycheck goes into a ‘donation fund’, which I use when I see something to donate to

What do you do if your Samoyed doesn't like ANY food?

Buckle up guys. Because this dog is gonna take you for a ride.

We have a 9 month old female Samoyed. She is 51 lbs, so she is a bit big for her sex, but she is pretty tall too. Her mother was large for their breed/gender as well. She completely healthy, not over or under weight, and the vet says she is doing great. She is not spayed. We are waiting to get her fixed until after her second heat, since she had her first one fairly early at 6 months.

Just one problem: SHE WILL NOT EAT FOOD. ANY. FOOD.

She is okay with the food if she thinks it is a treat, but the second she figures out “oh this is just what I eat now? Nahhh. No thanks” and will literally refuse until she is absolutely starving. Sometimes this has been over a day. She has done this since we brought her home at 8 weeks. At first we just thought it was nerves, but now we know it is some kind of psychological government experiment to make us go INSANE. (Kidding. Maybe....)

What the hell am I supposed to do with a dog that doesn’t like food?!

And before you start suggesting things let me give you a list of what we have done:

  1. She absolutely does not like kibble at all. She has done this on 6 kinds of kibble. She will eat it as a treat at first, but put it in a bowl, dish, try to trick her with a toy, use it as training treats, or hell even put it on the floor (because she seems to think everything tastes better on the carpet) she wants nothing to do with it. She figures this out very quickly.
  2. She will eat canned food for 1-2 meals and then realizes it is not a treat. Doesn't want it after.
  3. Finally I said 'screw it' and decided to make her dog food from scratch. I know this is iffy with puppies since they need such specialized diets for growing, but I was desperate. Did TONS of research to make sure she had the right meat, grain, and vegetables content. Calculated and weighed all the ingredients for the right macros to measure out each meal. Have spent hours chopping, baking, boiling, sautéing difference kinds of meats and veggies and rice... She likes it for 1-2 days, realizes it is "food" and not special. Refuses to eat it.
  4. I tried adding chicken/beef stock on her dry food...she doesn’t like the kibble being wet. She hates it worse than the dry. She will lap up the stock or homemade broth on it's own. The second it touches the kibble she turns her nose up and walks away.
  5. Tried mixing in can food with the kibble. Again. Doesn't like it being wet.
  6. Tried mix

Games - currently playing a lot of Apex Legends & Valorant but I'm down to play any other multiplayer/co-op game, introduce me to some new stuff! Or we could talk about some of the best single player games, if you like the Witcher, Bioshock, Persona, dishonoured series then we are instantly best buds. Me and my bud just got Left 4 Dead 2 in the steam sell so we do need two people to have some fun with mods and going through the campaign.

Anime - really enjoy anime and have watched it for years, currently watching Jujutsu Kaisen & Haikyu this season. Some of my favourites of all time are Cowboy Bebop, Akira, hunter x hunter, prison school, spirited away, hyouka. Want to watch or re-watch some anime then hit me up!

Horror - I love all things horror, games, films, shows, manga! Maybe we could watch some horror films or share some good recommendations!

Manga - as you can tell I'm a full on degenerate weeb. I enjoy manga as well as anime, I think I have a picture on my profile of my small collection if you want to know what I currently own :D

Custom Keyboards - I recently got into this hobby and my god did it give the sweetest upper-cut to my poor wallet, if you also know about custom keyboards then you know that your wallet is no longer a wallet but a black void of emptiness.

Cooking - I come from a mixed background and was taught from a young age on how to cook, so I enjoy cooking different dishes such as curry goat, ackee and saltfish, risotto. Challenging myself with dishes outside of my comfort zone is a lot of fun.

I don't really mind where you are from or what interests you have, but I like to hear what other people enjoy doing as its nice to hear what others care about and what makes them happy.

I mainly use discord but if you just want to talk on here then that's cool too! I am pretty shy so it can take me a while to warm up, but I will put in the effort :D

pm me for my discord, look forward to hearing from some of you!

(Repost as I mainly got people asking if I wanted to join their server)

Types of Meat/food terms related to meat-eating

Lamancati (laman ng kati)- Carne de cualquiera animal/meat of any land animal.

Note: kati is synonymous with lupa ie ‘land’. In those times lamangkati was more commonly used than today’s lamanglupa (flesh of land animals ie ‘meat’ ‘red meat’).

Osa (usa)-venado, comun de dos. De modo que anes de conocer si es macho o hembra, le llaman osa; y despues de concido, songayan o libay/cpmmon name out of the two (the other being ‘sungayan’, ie ‘horned one’/buck). If they don’t know if it’s male or female, they just call it ‘osa’. But if they know it, they call them ‘songayan’ (for males ie buck) and libay (for females ie cierva/doe).

Note: Venison used to be a very common food in PH or at least in Luzon. I’ve read so many accounts of deer being hunted and consumed in many accounts in PH. Up until the early 19th c. it seems from various accounts that deer population in very forested PH was very common. There were accounts in 16th Luzon, wherein deer pelt was supposedly sold to Japanese traders by the tens of thousands annually, sold by hinterland dwellers to coastal traders who then sold it to plying foreign merchants (most known was Japanese, that is why a town in Pangasinan was called ‘Port of Japan’ ie Agoo, Pangasinan, source: per one of the accounts in BnR). But as the forests were destroyed and deer population declined starting in the late Spanish era, deer became a fairly rare commodity. Today deer is very rare and supposedly populations declined 30% in just 25 years. Great account of Tagalogs hunting deer, and hunting culture in general in Luzon, is Paul Gironiere’s accounts from 19th c.

Anuang (anuwang), carabao (kalabaw)-bufalo, animal conocido son muy mansos los caseros. Los cimarrones son peores que toros de Xarama. ‘Calaquian es el macho, cabayiyan y la hembra./Bufalo, that are very much tamed by its owner. (In comparison to…) The Aetas of the mountains are worse than Jarama River’s bulls. The bulls are called “calaquian” and the heifers “cabayiyan”.

Note: *Cimarrones ie “Maroons” are a name given to mountaineers who avoid being ‘civilized’ by converting and living in the lowlands, in PH a term mostly given to Aetas. Jarama River is known for vicious

The pain scale speaks to us at r/endo in a special way. Knowing that you yourself have suffered it, I just wanted to thank you for helping us find more accurate ways to describe what's happening as we sob to our doctors. Wishing you good health in the future! Shout out to my endo peeps! That's one of the things that almost killed me (stage IV, hemorrhaging, had a hysterectomy at 27), and I feel a sort of poetic satisfaction knowing that something I made has helped my fellow sufferers deal with this hell of a medical condition.
Wishes of good health back at you, sisterfriend!
^(the below is a reply to the above)

I had no idea you suffered with endo! Looking back to when I was a teenager reading your blogs it was a huge source of comfort finding an escape from the endo pain because no one believed how bad it was until I had my second lap in 2015 (age 22). They found stage II endo hanging out on my bowels and literally everywhere else, not to mention an ovarian cyst that twisted my fallopian tube shut as it grew! Another doc found ureaplasma growing for God knows how long but it had reached up to my liver and I needed 14 days of antibiotics to get rid of it, and that shit causes infertility if left untreated. My excision surgery was last December and they finally found some pelvic congestion syndrome, too (vericose veins on my ovaries, so like all of the internal tissue is engorged and purple which is equal parts disgusting and painful) and on top of that I still deal with overactive muscle spasms from dealing with chronic pain for so long. Also, I have passed over 60 kidney stones, I have a gluten intolerance, I'm wildly allergic to pork, and I'm being tested again for MS. My organs are always mad at me. So was it the hemorraging that finally convinced the doctors to give you a hysterectomy? Did you have to have your ex-husband bargain with the doctors and sign in blood that your own reproductive organs that were trying to kill you were good to be removed per his request? Or did you have a nice doctor that actually cared that you lived and had some semblance of quality of life? Also, did you grieve at all for not being able to carry babies? At this point I'd r

Cuisine of Icewind Dale During the Everlasting Rime

When reading Caer-Dineval's quest, there is a cook that knows 50 ways to cook and prepare knucklehead trout. That got me thinking about what dishes are actually being served during the Everlasting Rime and what produce is still actively available.

Having done some research into vegetables that grow in low-light conditions and the cold, here's what I've come up with in terms of ingredients that would be used for cooking:

  • Vegetables: potatoes, carrots, garlic, parsnip, brussel sprouts, spinach, lettuce
  • Fruit: none except those that are jammed
  • Grains/flour: potato bread, potato starch
  • Dairy and Eggs: goat milk, goat cheese, axe beak eggs, owl eggs, trout eggs
  • Seafood: knucklehead trout, seal, whale, squid, clam, walrus, smaller arctic fish
  • Meat: reindeer, elk, goat, yeti, moose, rabbit, bear
  • Sweeteners: maple syrup and other syrups from trees that grow in the cold, honey
  • Salt: sea salt

With that list, I started thinking up knucklehead trout recipes, but I was only able to get to 20. They are

  1. Trout Sashimi (or called Cold Trout)
  2. Trout Salad: lettuce or spinach, parsnip slices, carrot slices, smoked knucklehead trout with a seal oil garlic dressing
  3. Smoked Trout
  4. Salt-Baked Trout
  5. Seared Trout
  6. Trout Stew
  7. Trout Jerky
  8. Braised Trout with White Sauce: White sauce made with goat's milk and goat cheese
  9. Candied Trout: Dried trout caramelized with honey
  10. Broiled Trout
  11. Shepherd's Pie with Trout
  12. Trout Pie
  13. Deep-fried Trout Skin
  14. Fish & Chips
  15. Trout Collar
  16. Trout Broth
  17. Lutefisk
  18. Steamed Trout
  19. Poached Trout
  20. Trout Omelette

At this point, I'm out of ideas as I don't think there are that many spices probably still around after 2 years. I was wondering if anyone had any good recipes they could think of, and it doesn't have to be trout!

Recipes/Styles and Terms Related to Cooking

Loto (luto)- cocer cualquiera cosa/to cook anything. Eg. Ang niloloto co ay balatong “I am cooking mongo beans.”

Note: The term ‘balatong’, same in languages like Ilocano, is the native Tagalog term for beans (it is in this dictionary also), including ‘munggo’. Blust recreated it in Proto-PH as balatun with other various forms valatung, balatum, baldtong. Unfortunately can’t link the Google Book, but here’s another link ‘balatung = mung beans’. https://www.sil.org/system/files/reapdata/11/26/85/112685769220065022087240266517448034278/Reid.pdf

Combar (kumbad ???)-yesca para sacar fuego. es la lana que sacan de la palma llamada cauong/tinder to make fire. It is from the ‘wool’ they take from the kaong palm.

Note: ‘Wool’ likely meant the fuzzy fibers taken from palms including coconut that are highly flammable, used as kindler.

Alipuyo (alimpuyo)- quemarse lo que se esta cociendo; por entrar la llama, dentro de la vasija/burn what is cooking; for the flame to enter the cooking vessel.

Note: Another modern meaning of this term is ‘alimpuyo’ ‘whirlwind’, like meant that one is blowing/fanning flame too hard, it makes fire hotter and thus burn the food.

Quilao (kilaw)- carne en vinagre/meat in vinegar. Eg. Magquilao tayo “Let’s make kilaw.”

Note: In Bergano’s Pampango dictionary ithe term is used for ‘venadillos’ ‘zervatillos’ ie young deer/doe, as well as for ‘cachorillo’ ‘small puppy’. Likely, without me checking modern linguistic dictionaries, that it is surely cognate with ‘hilaw’ ie ‘raw’.

They cut the meat or the fish into pieces, then they heat up a little vinegar, when its very hot they throw it (the vinegar) on it (the meat). Then they apply salt and chili, and this is called quilauing boro (kilawing buro). Eg. Ualang lamangcating sariua at pauang binoro. “There was no

Pairing Advice for three dishes: Mushroom Cauliflower Shepherd's Pie | Chickpea Spinach Curry with Onion Bhajis | Tofu Broccoli Pad Thai (Peanut Sauce)

Pairing Advice for three dishes:

For an upcoming weekend, I'm looking to pair some nice wines for three different meals, for three different evenings, picked by my companion. A different bottle for each is possible.

I'm aware we cook relatively non-standard but I'm trying to gain experience and see how wine can fit food. The meals are not necessarily eaten across the evenings in the order listed. Also my companion often makes changes to the recipes, e.g., we might not use an ingredient but we will use the title components.

The first is a Mushroom Cauliflower Shepherd's Pie, in theory a baked goat cheese. Recipe is in Dutch but Google Translate gives a good impression. Recipe: https://www.puur-gezond.be/receptenarchief/bloemkoolpureeschotel-met-champignons/

The second is a Chickpea Spinach Curry with Onion Bhajis. Recipes: https://www.theartfulappetite.com/chana-saag-chickpea-spinach-curry-vegan/ and https://www.happypearcourses.com/oil-free-onion-bhajis

The final one is a Tofu Broccoli Pad Thai (Peanut Sauce). Recipe: https://plantedandpicked.com/vegan-pad-thai/

What would you recommend or which advice can you give for good pairings? What tastes to focus on, where to look for inspiration. Many and varied suggestions are welcome!

The wines at the divided into those that should be drunk sooner than later, and those who are just good to go (I think). I do have some beyond those so feel free to propose any ideas that pop up.

My own thoughts were as follows:

The mushroom dish is not too difficult to pair. I'd believe the Trio Merlot (Carménère - Syrah) 2015 Rapel Valley Chile could work - a more powerful wine with a Merlot base to compliment the mushrooms and hopefully a pepper touch from the Syrah to add some spice and flavour?

For the Tofu Thai Dish, I am tempted to try the Gomersal Shiraz 2012 Barossa Valley Australia Australian Shiraz. For some reason, I like to give Australian/New Zealand wines with south-asian cuisine, and this one sounds like juicy and peppery which could compliment the dish well.

I'd be tempted to first try the Serve Terra Romana Milenium White 2014 Dealu Mare Romania, which I believe is likely expired, and use as backup the Domaine de Petit Roubié Picpoul de Pinet 2017 with the Chickpea Spinach Curry. It could be that the aromatics of the wine work well with the spices of the dish. Alternatively, this could also be an option, similar reasoning, for the Tofu Broccoli Pad Thai. Could the Monbazillac, a sweet wine, work for ei

Food Prepping

Laan, handa-reparar la comida/prepare the food. Eg. Naghahanda sila nang cacanin "They're preparing the food."

Note: There's a metaphor: ‘Hahanda (or) hungmahanda din ang babaye sa balang macaivbig sa caniya’ trans. in Spanish as ‘The woman prepares for everything’ though obviously in modern Tagalog it literally says ‘Women prepare for those who might fall in love with her/...might become her lover.’ Only context given is that likely it is a metaphor for ‘el que apareja’ ‘those who prepare (all the time)’.

Batibot- sacar las tripas a la gallina, destripar ave por el culo, abrir el trasero la gallina para sacar las tripas/to gut the chicken by pulling its entrails out its anus. Eg. Nagbabatibot nang manga ibon ang manga bata. “The children are gutting out the birds (they caught)”.

Note: Must be weird to name a children’s puppet show after this...(For those who don’t know, Batibot was the Filipino version of Sesame Street). LOL

Hinain (himayin???)-abrir el pescado quitandole las tripas y agallas/open the fish removing the guts and gills.

Note: In another entry, ‘aderezar’ ‘to dress meat’ also means ‘hinain’.

Hochoc (hukhok)-abrir un agujero pequeno en la barriga del animal para scarle las tripas/open a small hole in the belly of the animal to remove the guts. Eg. Hoc hocan mo yaring osa, at conan mo nang bitoca. “Open a whole in the deer to take out the guts.”

Note: There are two other entries related to ‘opening up’ seashells icang (ikang) ‘to open with force and violence’--Ingmiycang siya nang cabibi “He is opening the shells”---incat (ingkat) ‘to open with a pointy object’---Imingcat tayo nang talaba ‘Let’s open some oysters.’

Quisquis (kiskis)-raspar el cuero quitandolo el pelo/scrape the skin off a carcass to remove the hair. Eg. Nagquiquis ang cocinero nang babuy. “The cook is scraping the skin of the pig.”

Tindi-apesgando o apretando carne o pescado para que salga la sangrasa/stiffening or squeezing meat or fish so that blood comes out. Eg. Mag tindi ca diyan sa isda nang mabigat. “Put something heavy on the press for that fish.”

Barovian Cuisine - Where Barovians get their food, common dishes, and menus for all food-related events.

(Inspired by discussions on these threads: https://www.reddit.com/r/CurseofStrahd/comments/i0u9as/the_economy_of_barovia/)

Food can tell you a lot about a society and its people: its economy, its culture, its values. I wanted to create a resource about the types of food you’ll find in Barovia that tells a story about the people’s historical and present circumstances, and what they’re doing to survive. Section 1 goes over the sources of food available to each settlement. Section 2 is a more detailed list of the actual food products you'll find in Barovia. Section 3 is a list of Barovian dishes, inspired by Slavic cuisine. Finally, Section 4 is detailed menus of pretty much every food-related encounter your players could come across.

Section 1: Food Sources

Village of Barovia

The book doesn’t mention any farms in Barovia, but I think it would make sense for the Village of Barovia (and formerly Berez) to be a farming town. Barovia is, ironically, the current ‘Bread Basket’ of the valley, and the most food-secure town in Strahd’s lands. However, the village is in decline, putting its citizens and the rest of the valley at risk of food scarcity.

Food Sources:

  • Grains from small farms.
  • Cows/sheep from small pastures.
  • Chickens and pigs kept inside town.
  • Low-sunlight vegetables grown inside town.
  • Vistani traders.

Town of Vallaki

Vallaki would have once been the trade center of the valley, its economy based around selling the work of skilled craftsmen to buy necessary items from the other towns. With the destruction of Berez and decline of Barovia it is in a precarious situation as it has no farmland of its own and the nearby lake yields no fish. Citizens keep gardens and some livestock in their homes, mainly growing root vegetables. Their diet is supplemented with hunting and foraging, but that is dangerous work. Vallaki is dangling on the precipice of famine, and that tension cuts through the Burgomaster's false merriment.

Food Sources:

  • Chickens and pigs inside town.
  • Low-sunlight vegetables.
  • Vistani traders.
  • (Rare) Hunting and foraging.
  • (Rare) Grains from Barovia.
  • (Rare) Beef from Barovia.
  • (Rare) Dairy from Barovia and Krezk.

Town of Krezk

Krezk is a mostly self-sufficient commune. The citizens share all they have, and what they have is gardens and some livestock. No one leaves the walls to farm or forage. In times of plent

D100 Fantasy Chuck Wagon/Food cart patrons.

I am starting a new campaign where the players are set in this massive verdant jungle delta where treasures and wonders are being unearthed. Fortunes are made and lost under the trees as adventurers try and get the goods out alive. How would my players decide to make theirs?

Food Cart!

We have the butcher, the cook, the herbalist, and the cabbage guy who gets the good prices on goods. Now we just need a list of random diners and guests that would come and frequent their fantasy food wagon. Who do you see waiting in line?

Edit: Updated list, thank you guys so much for such a quick response. We had session 0 the other day and everyone is super excited.

D100 Diners

1-A gruff old dwarf who is smoking a smelly cigar and will return anything he orders at least twice to "make it properly"

2-A goblin mother with a dozen squalling children who needs a vast amount of food quickly.

3-A small human boy who seems to have no parents or guardian just asks over and over for ice jelly.

4-A large brown bear speaking sylvan and druidic ambles up and asks for the largest, finest cut of meat they have.

5-A clueless old Tengu lady who steals things and then plays innocent when confronted about it.

6-A very ugly and disgusting man, his nose higher than his eyes and strange dots on his face. He is very illiterate and only knows a few words.

7-A girl with brown hair and a blank face, if you ask her anything she does not care one way or another

8-An old man that always wheres a blue sweater, avoids sunlight and sometimes coasts other patrons twards him. Death seems to fllow him everywhere

9-A little man with a skweky voice. Always sad and always wants jelly, kindy looks like a leprechaun

10-An elderly tortle with countless magical runes etched into his shells. He always orders two meals, but leaves the second out across from him while he eats.

11- A golem that points to an item on the menu, shoves it into its face where a mouth would be on a living creature, pays, and leaves with whatever it ordered dripping off its face.

12-A tiefling selling a bunch of oddly covered roots and legumes. They all taste like normal food, however much they claim to have imported them from the underworld.

13-A man dressed in a modern suit, who will outright refuse to answer any questions about his clothing.

14-A rival foodcart sellar in disguise, who will make increasingly bold attempts to downplay the quality of food(which they're clearly enjoying)

Xavier DuPont de Ligonnès Article from Society, 6 Aug 2020, Part 2C [English]

Previous Section-Part 2B

[3/5]

Chapter 9

Highways and dead ends

The hunt for Xavier Ligonnès is enough to drive you crazy. It’s like looking for a lost object, a bank card for example, of which we can determine the exact moment of disappearance: we used it to pay, it was there, and the next moment it is not there anymore. Logic dictates that we look for it where we usually store it (a wallet, a handbag), then where it could be (a back pocket of pants, a hall cabinet), and the less we find it , the more we seem to see it everywhere. Faced with absence, the brain constructs images (the credit card in an office drawer, as a bookmark in a book, forgotten on the counter of the last store) but these are fictions or mirages; they encourage further research but they do not provide a solution. Xavier Ligonnès’s apparent volatilization follows the same logic and produces the same effects on the investigation. The more weeks and months go by, the more places to look get smaller. Emmanuel Teneur ends up leading the investigators to the Société Générale agency on Place Royale in Nantes, but the safe he holds there is simply empty. A request for information on Joven Soliman is sent to the security attaché for the French Embassy in the Philippines. He is a sedevacantist priest, a fringe of traditionalist Catholicism who considers the Pope to be an imposter. The attaché transmits the hours of mass where he officiates. A trip to the Philippines is being considered, but that would mean going to the other side of the world to look for a needle in the thousands of islands of the archipelago. If this track has never been closed, nothing has supported it to date.

Since we must push logic to the end, the investigators even contact the American authorities to corroborate or contradict the story of protected witnesses told by Ligonnès in his famous letter. The DEA has never heard of the individual, and the liaison officer based at the Miami consulate assures us that his last trip to the United States was in 2003: Ligonnès arrived in Florida on July 18 and left on August 22. The study of his entourage also did not highlight anyone capable of providing false papers to the fugitive, and if he had gone through a criminal network, the police believed that an informant would undoubtedly have warned them to protect himself.

8 THINGS TO DO WHILE STAYING WITH NOMADIC FAMILY

A very special way to discover the lifestyle and traditions of the Mongols is to homestay few days with nomadic families.

Mongolian nomads live in ger, a round felt-covered dwelling, which has been used by Central Asian nomads for centuries. The word ger is literally translated as home in Mongolian, while its Turkish term “yurt” means homeland. Indeed, the ger provides shelter in a landscape that is both beautiful and harsh. Without visiting this ancient accommodation and meeting families living there, one would never truly get an honest taste of the nomadic lifestyle that Mongolians still treasure to this day. About three- quarters of the country's population are estimated to be living as nomadic herders. These people are renowned for their wonderful hospitality towards visitors, because of their tradition of helping one another and isolation from the outside world. And we present you 9 things you can experience while staying with Mongolian nomads.

1. TASTE MONGOLIAN MILK TEA ALONG WITH OTHER TREATS

Mongolian climate requires nomads to follow a high protein diet. Therefore, stimulating hot beverage is crucial in cold winter, and the Mongols opted to drink milk tea on a daily basis. There are at least 15 different variations of milk tea depending on the components and brewing techniques. However, in general, families of the Western mountainous regions prefer a thick, salty tea that can replace a light meal while herders along the Eastern steppe make a thin and non-salty tea brewed from loose leaves. Mongolians also enjoy their milk tea with some meat dumplings, turning it into a hearty meal. The complex ingredient of milk tea can include meat dumplings, ribs, tail fat, rice, or millet, and some dried meat. Customarily, the Mongols have to offer any visitor a cup of tea without asking whether she or he would like to drink or not. As a gesture of appreciation, you would have to take a sip before placing it on a table. As the milk tea is white in color, it is considered a symbol of pure-heartedness and good fortune. Thus, when someone goes for a long journey, family members spray tea or milk to the direction the traveler is departing to wish good luck. Other treats you will be offered will include homemade bun, foods based on curd and meat.

Favorite dish/food item in Lexington or surrounding area?

I saw this in another city's subreddit once and thought it was an interesting idea. Instead of listing your favorite restaurant, or favorite place for a particular category of food, let's build a list of our most favorite single dishes across the city and surrounding areas. Some places just have that standout dish that you wouldn't otherwise know to try unless a local told you about it.

For me:

Restaurant Dish
Bourbon n Toulouse Jambalaya
Old San Juan Cubano
OBC Kitchen Bacon in a Glass
Southland Save-A-Lot (RIP) Fried Chicken
Sav's Grill Peanut Goat on Fufu w/ a Fataya and piquant sauce
Local Feed in Georgetown Mac n Cheese and Greens with Cornbread (it's a meal to me, dammit!)
County Club Tuesday special burger (big mac clone) with side of daily slaw (all of their slaws are great, but their white miso is best)
Slainte in Georgetown Pint of happy hour Guinness and packet of Taytos or Pap's Grippo's Beef Jerky
Josie's Meat and Sweet with turkey sausage and whipped cream and butter.
Lynagh's Cajun O'Round with chips

Chicken shawarma & fries - Zayna Mediterranean
Mussels or oysters - King Fisher
Brussels & Bacon - Zona 78
Train Wreck, Leige waffle - Baja Cafe
Tonkotsu Ramen - Raijin
Tantanmen Ramen - Yoshimatsu

Solid ground had never felt so good. One moment, Geela was a floundering ship, struggling to keep her flagging mast above the water. The next, she was a triumphant boat, plowing its way up the shore, taking no prisoners as it tore up the beach.

It was possible Geela was misunderstanding the mechanisms of boats, but she’d never been on one, so this metaphor suited her just fine.

The change from squish to click under her heels as she crossed the threshold from the Swampy Region to the Volcanic Region flooded her with such relief that she almost flung herself to the ground, to kiss the cracked, dusty soil. She restrained herself, lest she embarrass herself, but was pleased nonetheless to see Darkos had the same idea. The stately priest fell to his knees, offering a grateful moan and running his hands into the dirt, so dry that it escaped his hands in puffs.

Four days of swamp traveling had been too much. At around day two, she’d started devising a plot to permanently dry up the region and remove its blight from the world. By the end of day three, she’d decided it would be her new project after saving Darkos and obliterating Barney.

After all that nonsense, draining the swamp should be easy, right?

As Darkos regained his composure and rose to his feet, he brushed some fine pebbles from his still damp face.

He caught Geela’s look and offered her a rueful smile. “Feels good, huh?”

Geela couldn’t decide between offering this a rolled e

I think I’ve inherited a Fallen Angel. (Part 2 of 3 so far. Part 3 is already finished, But I couldn’t post it with part two due to word limits, will post part 3 soon)

Last time I posted, I’d only just learned what I had to do to prepare for my stand against the beings which even the angels fear, the old-ones, eldritch horrors whose true names and age pre-date the angels, and perhaps the gods. To sort out a misnomer, as she was quite a bit upset at my mis-labling her. Allow me to clarify that Coalcifer is indeed a fallen angel, and not a demon or devil. She has a vast and unsettling array of abilities...and habits. Illusions and shapeshifting being among them. Some of you will be relieved to know that she and I have since discussed the terms of our deal…It seems fair enough, and I was as thorough as possible. She claims to have never intended harm before materializing to me, but had intended to merely amplify fear and caution in my family; and she's been doing so for, well...For a very long time, and is claiming to have done so in order to keep us away from less…Benevolent supernatural creatures. There are of course, rules to when and how she is allowed to assist me. 1: If mortals intend to kill me, whether by order of a supernatural being or not, at most she can warn me. 2: If another fallen angel tries to directly harm me, she may opt to assist me. 3: She is not obligated to protect me from deities of any kind. 4: She is not to be seen in physical form by the light of day, while in direct sunlight. 5: I she may not assist me in view of other mortals if they haven’t already seen the supernatural before. The rules and guidelines go on a bit, but those are the most pertinent ones. Now some of you thought my story ended with the beginning of my journey…I don’t blame you, I know life is like that sometimes. Something seems to just be getting started, then BAM, it’s over. Here’s where we left off: Coalcifer and I were hard at work making my first grimoire and discussing the precise geometry involved in ritual-based spells. We used simple lambskin for the covers, and silk string intertwined with copper threads. A simple infusion of my blood, and a few hairs from my head were placed under the front and back covers. This was to insure I’d never lose the book for long. It was nearly finished, all that was missing was a bit of glue, and, uh…All the spells. “Don’t worry, John…It’s getting late, and…” She paused. I was getting anxious, and I won’t lie, a bit excited to start learning actual spells. “Oh, Sandy’s at the door” “Coalcifer!” I whispered hurriedly “Take a hike for now, we’ll start again first thing tomorrow morning, aft

EVEN MORE miscellaneous tidbits about the 2019-20 NBA season that you probably already knew about but I decided to write about anyway:

#Previous "Miscellaneous tidbits" posts:

##Part 1

##Part 2

#Some terms#

per 75 = per 75 possessions, i.e. points per 75 possessions = measure of a player's scoring rate, an alternative to PPG. Each team plays at a different pace (and the league as a whole plays slightly faster or slower each season), so adjusting for pace like this allows us to compare players' scoring more fairly than PPG will. (Question: Why 75 possessions? - Answer: The average high-usage modern NBA player simply uses roughly 75 possessions/game, so "per 75" stats are perhaps easier to intuitively understand for most people than "per 100" stats, which are available on Basketball Reference.)

TS% = true shooting percentage, i.e. a player's scoring efficiency, basically FG%, but accounting for 3-pointers and free-throws

rTS% = relative TS%, i.e. how efficient a player's scoring is compared to league average scoring efficiency, which is 56.4 TS% in 2019-20 according to Basketball Reference

ORTG and DRTG are a team's offensive and defensive rating, respectively, with numbers taken from Basketball Reference.

rORTG/rDRTG = relative ORTG or DRTG, i.e. how good a team's offense is compared to league average offensive and defensive rating, which are 110.4 in 2019-20 according to Basketball Reference

  • #1: Nikola Jokic, clutch god

I've talked about Chris Paul in an earlier post, but Jokic is right there with him as one of the clutchest players in the NBA. Joker is 3rd in points scored in the clutch, only behind CP3 and Trae Young, and the Nuggets are 2nd in the league in clutch wins, with a 26-14 record (65.0 win%) in clutch situations. In the clutch, Jokic has a personal net rating of +13.7, a 2.7 clutch AST/TO ratio, and shoots 60 TS%. Whether it be methodically bullying his way to the basket for a contested finish, a game-winning tip-in, or one of his ridiculous one-legged fadeaways (cries again in Sixers), simply giving the b

Nothing is more horrifying to an adventurer than a Rust Monster, its mere touch turning their weapons to rust - Lore & History

This week we bring forward a horrifying bug! This strange monster is known as the Rust Monster, and as you may have gathered from its name, it has something to do with rust.

For all the monsters that have come and gone, it’s a little surprising that this strange looking creature has traveled through time. It certainly hasn't existed this long because of its good looks, but from the unique ability to destroy metal. Finally, we have a monster that doesn’t want to eat your face off but rather is interested in what you wear. This roach-like creature doesn’t bother trying to hurt you, instead, it focuses on corroding your weapon while it’s still in your hand.

Like the Owlbear, the Rust Monster is one of the original monsters created by Gary Gygax. Inspired by a toy he picked up for his game since most miniatures were for armies and not horrifying monsters, he created a creature that could not physically hurt you, but the mental damage it inflicted was far worse. In an interview with Dragon magazine, Gygax tells of how he came up with the Rust Monster.

> When I picked up a bag of plastic monsters made in Hong Kong at the local dime store to add to the sand table array … there was the figurine that looked rather like a lobster with a propeller on its tail … nothing very fearsome came to mind… Then inspiration struck me. It was a Rust Monster. > > Dragon Magazine #88 (1984)

OD&D

>No. Appearing: 1-2 > >Armor Class: 2 > >Move: 12” > >Hit Dice: 5 > >% in Lair: Nil > >No. of Attacks: 1 > >Damage/Attack: Special > >Treasure: Nil

The Rust Monster was introduced in the Greyhawk Supplement (1974) and might be one of the more interesting monsters to be introduced in this edition. Not only is it more than just a typical monster that goes around murdering in a dungeon, but it also has a special way of dealing with adventurers that helps it stand out. We can only imagine the look of confusion at Gary Gygax’s table as he puts down his little toy Rust Monster and told everyone to roll their initiative… promptly followed by his uncontrollable giggling. They had no idea what was heading for them.

Unfortunately for the rest of the Dungeons & Dragons community that bought the supplement there is no picture to giggle at and there is no information describing exactly what the Rust Monster even looks like. The closest we get to a description is that it looks like an “ino

Fitness Diary! 31F, Orange County, failed intermittent fasting but life goes on!

Location: Southern California

Household: Partner and I

Reasons for wanting to get fit: For energy and feeling healthy all around. Around 26-27, my mental and physical health went downhill, partially due to stress but also age got to me sooner than I expected. (Note to all the youngins, this is the age where it goes downhill, not 40) I couldn’t eat all the junk I want, avoid exercising and still feel fine and dandy. I also struggle with lack of energy+ focus issues due to narcolepsy and adhd (inattentive).

Fitness Goal: Strong and energetic, physically I like to have more muscle. I’ve always been skinny fat, I have a thin frame which fools a lot of people into thinking I’m in shape, but I kid you not, it’s all fat between my bones and skin.

Workouts: Prior to Covid, I go on walks, gentle yoga 1x a week, a hike or jog during weekends. Since WFH, I do 45 mins - 1 hour workouts 3-4x a week consistently, and take walks when I’m not deterred by covid, heatwaves or smoke outside due to California being on fire.

Diet: Intuitive eating- I love food and resisting cravings never ends well for me. I have a great relationship with food now, except I should probably eat more greens. That being said, I guess I enjoy new experiences/torture because part of this week involves experimenting with intermittent fasting…

Lifestyle: Sedentary, I WFH on a computer 8-9 hours a day and lay on the sofa or bed reading/ watching shows/ play games the rest of the time. I’m real lazy, exercising is always an event for me.

Note (s)- I’m wearing a mask + taking proper safety precautions going out.

Sorry in advance for poor grammar or spelling mistakes!

-------------------------------------------------------

Monday

8pm- A week ago we were having heat waves and suddenly its sweater weather. I make myself a cup of matcha tea, and check the AQI (air quality index), it’s unhealthy so no walk probably most of the week. We get forest fires every year around this time but this year is especially bad, it’s as if there’s a sepia filter outside. Realizing I forgot chili peppers in the mayak eggs (korean marinated eggs), I prepped the night before, I chop 2 up and toss them in.

9:30pm- I refill my 24oz hydroflask (I try to drink at least 2 bottles per day). Coworker shares a photo of Halloween edition count chocula cereals and I get excited about the strawberry and blueberry versions. I’m love fruity flavors and am a true sucker

Willster328 Unit Review: Sterne Leonis

Afternoon FFBE Fans! Looking start doing routine Unit Reviews for the community, that bring something a little extra to the table in addion to the GOATs, Memel0rd, and Wiki Team Reviews. Although they've paved the way for this community, amongst others, in the endeavor to get to know units more intricately myself I want to be able to share some new perspective and insight on the units as they come out.

Some of you may have seen other analysis and informative posts of mine that I've done in the past, such as: A Quick Look at External Imbuers , Deep Dive Analysis of MMXon , Breaker Analysis: Where does Locke fit , A look at Mirage , and Future TMR/STMR Watch

I love how invested this community is, and I love being able to positively contribute to it.

My goal for these reviews isn't so much focused on the Stats, but more overall where they fit in Party Making, in your Roster, and FFBE as a whole. In addition, I'll be reviewing them at their 7-star form only, and when I do unit comparisons I limit my searches to 5-Star Base. That's really my only assumption when doing these. That being said, let's get started!

##Stern Leonis: A Son Scorned

Coming to FFBE as part of a Time Limited WOTV Collaboration Event, Sterne is a T-Cast AMOE Chainer that at first glance sits upon the top our DPS Damage Charts as part of the rapid recent powercreep.

#Overall Perspective

Sterne comes with an innate 30% Dark Resist, in line with his WOTV Element, as well as 100% Resist to Blind and Confusion. He's a TDH User. Like many others he also has Innate Human Killer, but at 150% (Which I'm sure he's saving for his Father or Mont). As it stands for Human Killer Passives, Sterne is among the top holders. There's 14 Characters that have 100% Human Killer or higher, only 7 Characters that have 125% or higher, and only 3 (Sterne included) that have 150% or more:

Character Human Physical Killer
Sterne 150%
Cloud (FFVII: AC) 150%
Nagi 150%
Jiraiya 125%
Kunashira 125%

Butters & Toast (Big Guns & Melee Combat team)

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THE FORMATTING WORKS AND IS READABLE.

Disclaimer: While this is a min/maxed build designed to work on Supreme Jerk, it doesn’t necessarily fall into the destroy everything in 2-3 rounds meta. It’s effective, but abusing unbalanced weapons/skills are probably more effective. Users discretion advised.

I’ve been working on this pair for a while now and I think I finally have it sussed enough to share it with you all. Alternative team names:

Joker & Harley Quinn

Mario & Luigi

There seems to be a lot of synergy between a Big Guns user and a Melee user.

  • The Suppressing Fire perk appears to count as the Slow status effect for the purpose of proccing the Melee Combat perk Pursuit (if the target is Slowed, gain 100% Critical Chance instead).
  • The Flamethrower provides wide area burning, which enables Bleeding Strike. With the Terrorizer perk, Burning targets suffer -15% chance to hit, which seems to stack with the Suppress status (-20% hit chance), increasing our Melee Combat Rangers survivability.
  • Summed together, you Suppress Fire + Burn a group of enemies and your Melee follows up and yeets the fuck out of one target with Bleeding Strike. 400% weapon damage + 100% critical strike chance for another damage multiplier of anywhere between 200-300%+. Provided you can again efficiently move another 4 spaces, you can auto crit another target too.
  • It doesn’t end there though. Weird Science is a great damage modifier for Flamethrowers, so your Big Gun user gets easy access to all the other status effects a Melee Combat character wants as well!
  • The Sonic Emitter is a utility item that needs Weird Science 6. It stuns all organic enemies (and might be bugged to stun all enemies, further testing required) in a shotgun style cone for 6 AP. Blunt Weapons with the Bloodsport perk auto crit against targets that are stunned!
  • Snowballs + Frozen Ferret Launcher also applies Frozen for the purpose of proccing Stunning Blow perk, but this is more of a bonus late game synergy in terms of your priorities on what you invest in and spend your AP on.

Onto the builds:

> Butters the Diabolical Clown <

Background:

Mopey Poet or Paladin

(Mopey Poet is more on theme, but Crit Resistance is a very hard to get stat. However, it is also very hard to tell if a extra 10% crit resistance is making a major difference currently with the games lack of transparency, so I’m not 100% sure on this e

The 3H cast: get busted

There's an old saying that likes to go around "don't do the crime if you can't do the time." Well those students and staffers at Garreg Mach will find out soon that this addage is true and crime doesn't pay... Let's see what happens shall we?

Black Eagles:

  • Edelgard: The crime? Various atrocities against artistic sensibilities, was turned into the art cops by Ignatz who used gaudy post modernist handcuffs for the arrest. The Punishment? 2 months of life figure drawings with Rhea and Byleth... A rare combination of thirst and jealous hatred both at once.
  • Hubert: The crime? About 37 political assassinations... Since Tuesday. The punishment? Being forced to go on everyone's favorite educational program "Fodlan and Friends" and join Gertie the Golden Deer, Billie the Blue Lion, and Belinda the Black Eagle in a happy song about non violent conflict resolution.
  • Bernedetta: The Crime? Constant antisocial behavior and hiding from several social events. The Punishment: She must shake hands with Francis Plumphandle.
  • Dorothea: The Crime? Singing loud opera at 3 AM the night before finals. The punishment? A boot to the head... And one for Bernie and the wimp.
  • Ferdinand Von Aiger: The Crime? Completely ruined "Teamwork day" by making an attempt to be a better team player than Edelgard. The punishment? A second place trophy.
  • Petra: The Crime? Various unlicensed hunting infractions, claims they don't need one in Brigid but this ain't Brigid. The punishment? A weekend of hunting education course with General Zaroff. I'm sure it will go well.
  • Caspar: The Crime? Heard Rhea was a good fighter and challenged her to a scrap. The punishment? Well it took about 12 hours of construction work to pull him out of the wall she punched him through.
  • Linhardt: The crime? Sleeping during class of course. The punishment? He gets the help he needs to stay awake as Anette is gifted a giant one man band ensemble.
  • Jeritza: The Crime? Was playing the role of the clown for little Timmy's 4th birthday party and then the Death Knight came out... Not a good thing. The punishment? Intensive psychological therapy I mean seriously the guy needs it.

Blue Lions:

  • Dimitri: The Crime? Ruined the summer festival by destroying the lobster boiling booth demanding that instead they should grill every last one of them. The punishment? Participating in a game of "guess which dish is poisonous?" (hint: it's the one that tastes like crap)

Great, Odd and Alternate Tactics Showcase - Steadfast Soldier Machina

Hello, and welcome to another GOATS, one series that isn't quite calling it quits yet! This week we have another MK event and another free unit, so that's the obvious choice for me to review. That is (Steadfast Soldier) Machina

Before we begin, a word from our sponsor, Raid: Shadow Legends! (yes, I do still see those ads)... there's already a solid, in-depth comparison-style review of Machina. Definitely check that out.

Introduction

Machina is primarily a breaker, who can chain and also has some nice burst potential as well. He's also pretty solid for a free unit, and we'll get into that in just a bit.

Stats

Stat Rating Passives
HP 4760 + 540 B 50% + 20% with sword
MP 216 + 90 D 50%
ATK 208 + 65 A 120% + 20 with sword
DEF 198 + 40 B 140%
MAG 169 + 40 C 40%
SPR 169 + 40 C 60%

Machina has absurdly high DEF (on my ratings, just a hair short of an A at 198 base), as well as a solid ATK stat. His SPR is a bit low and his MP kinda sucks, but then again he's a physical attacker and that's expected.

Stat Value
Dual Wield Mastery 6x chain cap with innate DW
TDW 50%
Killers 50% Demon, 50% Machina
LB Fill Rate 50%
Status Immunities Poison, Blind, Disease, Confuse
Elemental Resistance 10% Fire, 10% Ice, 10% Lightning
Esper Stats +100%
MP Refresh 5% per turn

His TDW is low, but that's the expectation for free units anyway. The esper stats are nice, and his passives don't even take much of a hit for it! You can expect this to equal between 20% and 30% across all stats except HP, depending on the esper.

Speaking of espers, he can also invoke any esper the team has equipped.

Additionally he has an autocast every turn, which fills the Esper gauge by 1, and takes valuable fractions of a second each turn.

He also has a counterattack. It has a 50% chance to trigger once against physical attacks, and boosts Machina's DEF by 150% for 2 turns and heals him for 100 + 12x. It scales pretty hard, but you shouldn't be relying on it. My experience with Machina in arena is that it'll heal a bit under 2000 if he's lvl101 and naked.

Trust Rewards

Oh boy, now we get to the good stuff. Machina's trust rewards are among the best we've ever had for free. His TMR is so good that it might be worth a moogle container for a second one. Let that sink in. It's a free unit.

Anyway, his TMR, Lævateinn (not

So you wanna be a sailor?

Found a list of ways to help prepare yourself.

Lock all friends and family outside. Your only means of communication should be with letters that your neighbors have held for at least three weeks, discarding two of five .

Surround yourself with 200 people that you don't really know or like: people who smoke, snore like Mack trucks going uphill, and use foul language like a child uses sugar on cereal .

Unplug all radios and TVs to completely cut yourself off from the outside world. Have a neighbor bring you a Time, Newsweek, or Proceedings from five years ago to keep you abreast of current events .

Monitor all home appliances hourly, recording all vital information (ie: plugged in, lights come on when doors open, etc.) .

Do not flush the toilet for five days to simulate the smell of 40 people using the same commode .

Lock the bathroom twice a day for a four-hour period .

Wear only military uniforms. Even though nobody cares, clean and press one dress uniform and wear it for 20 minutes .

Cut your hair weekly, making it shorter each time, until you look bald or look like you lost a fight with a demented sheep .

Work in 19-hour cycles, sleeping only four hours at a time, to ensure that your body does not know or even care if it is day or night .

Listen to your favorite CD six times a day for two weeks, then play music that causes acute nausea until you are glad to get back to your favorite CD .

Cut a twin mattress in half and enclose three sides of your bed. Add a roof that prevents you from sitting up (about ten inches is a good distance) then place it on a platform that is four feet off the floor. Place a small dead animal under the bed to simulate the smell of your bunkmate's socks .

Set your alarm to go off at ten-minute intervals for the first hour of sleep to simulate the various times the watchstanders and nightcrew bump around and wake you up. Place your bed on a rocking table so you are tossed around the remaining three hours. Fantasy One-Hit Wonders, Quantified

Using Pro Football Reference data I sought out to mathematically quantify the biggest fantasy “One-Hit Wonders” of the last twenty years. The results give us a trip down memory lane to some of the “what if” players in recent memory.

TL;DR – scroll down to see the One-Hit Wonder charts, player names, and their stories.

METHOD

  1. Scrape all fantasy game data from PFR for players who had game debuts in 2000-2019
  2. Quantify each game’s contribution to the player’s career fantasy total (e.g., in the game the player accrued 1% of their career fantasy points)
  3. Quantify each game performance’s “Z-Score” by comparing the game against all games in the last twenty years at their position, a method of showing how dominant the performance was. For more detail on Z-scores and how they can be applied to fantasy football, please consider revisiting my historical “FF GOAT” series for QB, RB, WR, TE; also visit NBA Math from whom I drew this method and inspiration).
  4. Scatterplot the results of #2 and #3 to find outliers: games where the player not only dominated, but also amassed a bulk of their entire career’s fantasy output.

Generally I was looking for high Z-Scores (dominant games) and high game FPTS percent contributions to career totals. I set a threshold of 2.0 Z-score, which means the player’s game performance was 2 standard deviations above the average performance in the last twenty years – at this level you begin to see excellent fantasy games. For percent contribution, I was looking for anything large – 10%, 20%, 50%, 100%. If this is all too esoteric, ELI5: if a running back had a single game of 300 yards and 5 TD’s, but he never earned a single fantasy point ever again in his career, that’s a “One-Hit Wonder” in a nutshell. His game might be Z-score = 7.00 and percent contribution = 100%. Let’s get to the results.

QUARTERBACKS – SCATTERPLOT

There weren’t many QB One-Hit Wonders identified. Only two pla

Converted Science Fiction Technology to Magical Device

Like in Bioshock Infinite, Singularity, or Time Splitters, Tears in time/space are being seen in certain locations that are allowing inventors, scholars, scientist and magic users to see other dimensions' technology or out right steal the ideas.

Format: Magic Item name relating to the tech, Technology name (optional: quick lore, description of function, and use of the item)

Google Doc for List as Reddit has a Word cap at 400000 words a post: Converted Science Fiction Technology to Magical Device

  1. Speaking Stones, Walkie-Talkies (Speaking Stones are arcane stones that allows two or more users to speak with each other somewhat securely over great distances. While one must have a battery of sort (a spark of magic or a small chemical-electric battery), it does not require much maintenance other than tuning to a specified resonates while pairing with other speaking stones.)
  2. Caged Lightning, Lithium batteries (While in the old days of mining, if one found a large amount of soft electrium ore, they would have to rush out of the mine before the fire and explosion killed them and caved the mountain down. But, after it was found that you could stabilize it with purified mineral oil, mining became a little safer. Then, scholars found the substance could store the energy from lightning as long as it never meets air, merchants now cage the lightning form the sky and sell it to the highest bidder.)
  3. Lightning Slug Thrower, Gaussian Rifle (No one understands what drove an insane gnome to make it, but, all agree it works faster than anything they have seen. It is a modified crossbow with eight large tightly wound coils bound in oiled leathers that replace the arms and string of the bow that has its trigger replaced with a protected dome and a pack of wires that multiply the body's natural electric field to let a iron or magnetic slug to break the sound barrier. While it is a delicate and light weapon, it holds a hefty punch and a heavier price. Manufacture of this item is a master craft and even one mistake in construction will lead to it ripping through the shooter's flesh as the coils repulse and turn into a lightning bomb or it igniting due to friction.)
  4. Hook and Wool Self-locking cloth, Velcro (For lazed appreciation of non-utilitarian fashions, Dwarves are not ones to scoff at a useful cloth or fabric utility. When a

New Boy: Free Time at Bethel
  • Chapter 27
  • Hero and a Quart of Beer
  • At Bethel you’re working about forty six hours a week at Bethel. Monday night was the Bethel Watchtower study, Tuesdays and Fridays nights were your meeting nights at the Kingdom Hall. Sunday was field service in the mornings and meetings in the afternoon. So basically your only free time you weren’t doing something for the Lord was two weekday nights and Saturday afternoon and evening. If you had a dish duty or watchman dutyb you only had one free week night. Maybe 15 to 17 hours a week that was free time when you weren’t sleeping, working or going to meetings. That was your free time. So guess what many Bethelites did with all this free time?
  • We got another job.
  • The called those outside jobs, “G” jobs. No one really knows were the name came from. But a“G” job is, any job you did to make more money, more than the .71 cents a day or the twenty two dollars a month Bethel gave us. We were spending about nine dollars a month just on subway tokens. So after traveling expenses we made about .05 cents an hour.
  • I heard a story about a guy who was mugged in New York City. The mugger put a gun to his head and said. "Give me your money or I'm going to blow your brains out!" The man said. "You better shoot me, because I know one thing about New York, you can live here without brains but you got to have money!"
  • Many of the brothers there had families that couldn’t send them any extra cash each month for the basic necessities. So the extra ten or twenty bucks a week made a big difference, in making your life a little more comfortable there.
  • So even if the sisters did forgot your dinner at the Kingdom Hall there could be a slice of pizza in your future. You could still have dinner on the subway back home. A piece of pizza then was .75 cents or about two days worth of work. Or maybe once or twice a week, you could get a "Hero and a quart of beer," down at Pioneer deli. If you were really rolling, you would buy a chuck steak at .69 cents a pound and some frozen French fries and cook it up in your room, on your electric skillet. That my friend was living!
  • Believe it or not most of the money made at these jobs went towards food.
  • There were many different type of “G” jobs. Some guys in the press room ran "The paper route" it started at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. You ran through these high rise apartments delivering the Sunday edition of the New York Times. I did it once, not for me.
  • Some lucky guys worked at Fle

Fake Delicacies

A rather trivial but interesting potential conspiracy that ties in especially with fake cultures and fake animals. How many supposed exotic delicacies and foods are actually hoaxes that either don't exist or aren't what they are presented as? Most of us will never have the money or time to go to exotic places and try to taste expensive exotic foods. What are the chances that the powers that be are playing us on this?

A list of delicacies I find particularly suspect.

*Shark fin soup: It's the basis of media stories and outrage about how cruelly the sharks are treated and how sharks are going to go extinct because of it. Banned in most places, highly expensive and there's also the conspiracy that many large sharks like great whites and hammerheads are hoaxes.

*Casu marzu: Goat cheese that's been left to become infested with maggots. The maggots supposedly eat the cheese and excrete it back out, which is then eaten.

*Civet coffee: The powers that be love poop jokes. This "special coffee" is supposedly made by picking out digested coffee beans from civet poop.

*Fugu: Pufferfish are very real but the main question i have about this is, if this is a dish that's been prepared and eaten for centuries, how was it discovered which parts of the fish are edible and which parts are not?

*Hakarl: Icelandic dish. Meat of a giant shark buried and left to ferment in the ground to make it edible.

Has anyone else here thought about this or have their own opinion to share?

observations on minimal pairs in Pandunia

one of the first challenges any new learner of a language will face is learning all the sounds that go into it. this is why it is important for auxlangs to avoid needlessly rare and difficult distinctions, like x/h, and a/ã. of course, this must be balanced against the benefits that can be gained from a larger phoneme inventory—namely root recognizability and brevity. even when it is worthwhile to include a phonemic distinction in a language, though, keeping that distinction out of common words can make learning easier on those who are unaccustomed to it.

with all that in mind, I decided to tabulate all of the minimal pairs in Pandunia for its least common phonemic distinctions: v/b, v/w, v/f, s/z, j/c, and x/c. the full list is below.

I feel comfortable saying that none of these pairs of words are likely to be confused in practice, with the possible exceptions of basi and bazi, fute and vute (in the context of amusement park rides), paxe and pace (in the context of politics and philosophy), and maybe cenden and jenden. this means that, for the most part, a hypothetical Spanish speaker can get by just fine pronouncing b and v as [β] and c and j as /ʃ/, at least until they get the hang of the proper pronunciations.

one noteworthy thing I found is that there is only one minimal pair there are two minimal pairs between w and v. this means that if we wanted to declare [w] to be a valid pronunciation of v, we would only need to change one word two words to avoid homophony (probably wale to Persian divare to give us the compound divarkagaze, and wine to triunfe). personally, I think it would be a good idea, since it doesn't really lose us anything, it would make Pandunia less intimidating to speakers of Mandarin, Hindi, and Russian, and it would make us look much more credible if Conlang Critic ever reviewed us (he only said Lidepla's phonology was okay because they don't have any v/w minimal pairs). we could take it even further and forbid v/b pairs like Globasa does, and only need to change seven more words, but that's a bit more work.

Visiting St. Louis & making a comprehensive list of all local St. Louis dishes to try; did I miss any?

Hi guys, I'm gonna be visiting St. Louis from SoCal, and was trying to make a comprehensive list of all St. Louis-invented local dishes to try, and wanted to make sure I didn't miss any. I've previously done this with other cities such as Kansas City, Miami, and San Francisco.

On another note, I've heard that the original "St. Louis-style BBQ" was more of a sauced-grilled style of cooking, whereas popular barbecue joints in the city these days such as Pappy's have converged towards Kansas City-style or Memphis-style traits of slow-smoked/sauced after cooking or on the side. Does anyone have any recommended BBQ places in the St. Louis area that do the older style of St. Louis BBQ?

My list of uniquely St. Louis dishes (so far; work in progress with new edits):

gooey butter cake (also, what are the most unique/interesting GBC flavors you've seen?) +

gooey butter donut

gooey butter cake ice cream/popsicle

gooey butter frozen yogurt (FroYo)

gooey butter cookie

gooey butter pie

gooey butter cheesecake

gooey butter cake soda (bottled, Excell brand)

gooey butter cake milkshake

gooey butter cake concrete

gooey butter tart

gooey butter cupcake

gooey butter macaron

gooey butter cookie ice cream sandwich

gooey butter ice cream float

gooey butter danish

Toasted ravioli (+ different flavors; has anyone seen dessert chocolate toasted ravioli anywhere?)

St. Paul sandwich (+ chili basil Thai St. Paul sandwich; any interesting takes on this by other Asians?)

St. Louis-style fried rice (fried with dark soy sauce; mundane perhaps, but still counts)

St. Louis-style pizza

Slinger (many variations/permutations)

BBQ St. Louis-style spare ribs (available nationwide now, but still counts as a St. Louis thing)

BBQ pork steak

BBQ pork snoot

fried tripe sandwich

frozen concrete

Gerber sandwich

Prosperity sandwich

Brain sandwich

Hot salami sandwich (Gioia's Deli etc.; this seems distinct from generic sandwiches with salami found outside STL)

specialty flavor kolaches from St. Louis Kolache (Pappy's BBQ, Gioia's Deli, "St. Louis Pizza", Meatball Provel)

stick pretzel (Gus's Pretzels; not sure if they were actually the first to make a pretzel in a stick shape like this, but I'm gonna eat it anyway)

steak/chicken/etc. modiga (breadcrumbs+Provel-based cream sauce)

fried chicken sandwich with Provel & Red Hot Riplets ("Mother Clucker" from Byrd & Barrel)

Lion's Choice roast beef sandwich with Provel

Mayfair dressing (O'Connell's)

Red Ho

21M Put all your friendship in the bag, now!

Although tea is my best friend, I do have one other other friend but that's about it. Would love to change that and meet some more people. Some stuff about me, I'm a 21 year old Brit and am currently in my first year of university studying games programming (thanks rona for making it 100x harder).

I will list some of my interests for you friendly peeps :)

Pairing Advice for three dishes: Cheese with Apple Beet Potato Mash || Chicken Yogurt Tikka Masala || Lentil Bok Choy Zucchini Dish

For an upcoming weekend menu, I'm looking to pair some nice wines for three different meals picked by my companion.

The first is a Cheese Bake with Apple Beet Potato Mash, in theory a baked goat cheese. Recipe is in Dutch but Google Translate gives a good impression. Recipe: https://marielleindekeuken.nl/2018/11/13/bietenstamppotje-gebakken-geitenkaas/

The second is a Chicken Yogurt Tikka Masala. Recipe: https://theeverykitchen.com/healthier-chicken-tikka-masala-turmeric-cauliflower-rice/

The final one is a Lentil Bok Choy Zucchini Dish. Recipe is in Dutch but Google Translate gives a good impression: https://www.puur-gezond.be/receptenarchief/italiaanse-linzenschotel-met-courgette-en-paksoi/

The Cheese sounds like it could go well with something more powerful and strong tasting. The Château Vincens Origine Cahors 2011 is described as "It is powerful and very concentrated, densely tannic as well as fruity. Sweetish on the palate, firm structure, tannins not too aggressive" which sounds like it could go well.

A tikka masala is always interesting to par. In my experience, New Zealand Pinot Noir is always a nice accompaniment to asian style dishes, being fresher and fruitier. So the The Throne Pinot Noir High Altitude 2014 Marlborough New Zealand New Zealand Pinot Noir might be an option.

Finally, the lentil dish. A bit of a fusion between italian and asian. Merlot often performs well, so I'd think the Château Goubau Bordeaux 2011 Bordeaux France might match.

What do you think?

11 Miscellaneous Tidbits about the 2019-20 NBA season you probably knew about but I decided to write about anyway, PART THREE

(reupload because I f-ed up the title)

Previous "Miscellaneous tidbits" posts, if you're interested:

Part 1

Part 2

#1: Nikola Jokic, clutch god

I've talked about Chris Paul in an earlier post, but Jokic is right there with him as one of the clutchest players in the NBA. Joker is 3rd in points scored in the clutch, only behind CP3 and Trae Young, and the Nuggets are 2nd in the league in clutch wins, with a 26-14 record (65.0 win%) in clutch situations. In the clutch, Jokic has a personal net rating of +13.7, a 2.7 clutch AST/TO ratio, and shoots 60 TS%. Whether it be methodically bullying his way to the basket for a contested finish, a [game-winning tip-in](htt
