[TOMT] Obscure, Dark, Nickelodeon Short about a dog from Late 2000’s, significant because of its uncanny nudity

FINAL EDIT: This mystery has been solved. The video in question was uploaded by, presumably the creator himself! As I suspected, it was Dog Worries.

https://youtu.be/9EuKAj1t_hU

I got a TON of details wrong in the description but I know for sure that this is the animation I saw when I was young.

Please watch this wonderful work of art and send some love to the creator on the youtube channel via a Like. I misjudged the animation as being “nothing to write home about” because my undeveloped child brain couldn’t comprehend such a unique, watery looking animation style. After watching it now, it’s even more interesting to witness as an adult and see it in full, and the dialogue is also pretty great, it fees nice hearing it with an actual understanding of what the narrator is saying. I’ve finally got closure after 14 years, and it feels AWESOME.

Thanks to everyone who helped, and biggest of all, thanks to Mr. Armstrong for making it (and presumably uploading said video to youtube and

After 10 years, here’s my (mostly complete) Fallout New Vegas music CD and record collection containing the songs from the game’s radio soundtrack from 1942 to 2009.

Hello all. With the 10-year anniversary of Fallout: New Vegas, I wanted to share with you a project I have been working on for the past couple of years. I have been trying to collect the music of the Fallout series on the original records as a way to bring the games to life.

I've been working on other similar video game record collections, however, the Fallout series has proven to be a combination of both fascinating and frustrating in tracking down the original versions of the songs used in the game which run the gamut from shellac 78s, vinyl LPs and 45s to enormous 16 inch transcription discs, radio broadcasts, re-recordings, Snader Telescriptions, 8 tracks, and stock music. New Vegas runs the gamut from 1942-2009 and every decade and music format in between.

For those of you impatient with this wall of text to see another wall of text, but with far more pictures mostly alphabetized by artist, here's the link where I try to document every single record used in Fallout: New Veg

May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month here in the USA, a month dedicated to celebrating the lives and histories of people of Asian and Pacific Islander descent. As someone who’s like… one of those, this has always been a very important topic to me ever since I was a kid doing theatre and noticed what a niche market there was for API performers. Asian people have inspired/created so much great art but the people themselves have been underrepresented in history it feels like it’s more common to see a non-Asian artist dressed like an Asian person than it is to see an actual API person in the mainstream music industry.

Interest in Korean/Japanese media has opened doors for API performers outside of those countries but it feels like the doors still aren’t quite open all the way yet, though change is definitely coming! I wanted to throw a spotlight on some acts from history and today

Questions Answers
At what point do you consider the initial conception of a character to become irrelevant compared to their current perception? That's a really tough question to answer. I think part of the reason we wanted to make this film was to, in a sense, canonize Pepe. You have to keep in mind that when Matt created Boys Club and it started to get popular, it was just a tiny little indie comic. So when it switched over to the internet and started becoming a popular meme, it pretty quickly became divorced from the original character. And Matt was just a by-standard to all that. Seeing it morph and change over time.
When we see SpongeBob memes with Hitler moustaches or whatever, we understand that this is a derivation of the original. And that's because Nickelodeon has spent millions upon millions of dollars building up that character and his b

Five callbacks in six months, two First Refusals, one booking as a featured extra. When you have to convince yourself that you are, in fact, killing it..

I've got a supporting part in a film on Netflix, I voiced the lead in a series of animated commercials in 2018 that aired on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon.

I've auditioned for major tv shows and films, including a recurring guest role on Better Call Saul, Stranger Things, a supporting role in a movie with Laura Dern (that I was second choice for), Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell, Still the King with Billy Ray Cyrus, two Blumhouse movies, AND Marvel. In the last six months alone I got five callbacks (one was a straight up meeting with the director without having to audition). Two of those callbacks ended in me getting on the short list and put on standby.

Those are the misses. I only managed to actually book an extra role in a tv promo this year (but they did bump me up to onscreen, at least.) In the meantime I work hard at my multiple day jobs to pay the bills. I have to convince family (mostly small town conservative folks) over the holidays it has been worthwhile to pursue a d

15 years ago today, Cartoon Network gave three hours in the middle of the night to an experiment called Adult Swim.

For the last 10 years in a row, the network has ranked No. 1 among adults 18-34 years old in basic-cable ratings across the total day. The median age of the Adult Swim viewer is 24 years old, about half that of viewers across all broadcast and cable channels.

It saved Family Guy and is responsible for making Seth MacFarlane a TV powerhouse with three shows, three movies, a nine figure net worth, and a relationship with Emilia Clarke. (not a good thing to everyone)

It saved Futurama.

It turned Tim and Eric from two weirdos who were mailing unsolicited DVD’s to Bob Odenkirk to comedy superstars with a multimedia and multichannel entertainment kingdom with two movies and thirteen television shows, including Nathan for You, Comedy Bang! That horrific noise. The kettle wouldn't stop. Steaming and screaming, screaming and steaming. The gas flicker of the oven and the persistent hum of the low-efficient light. An oblivion of echoes and a supremity of sounds to a volume that an orchestra would dream of producing; sounds which signified the monotonous life of a lone housewife. Only flicks of a moth-eaten hand towel by this hand scorched by chemicals of soap and hot water could commence an orchestra to make such noise.

Kitchen tiles that were once white now impure with an olive-toned overcast, not helped much by the sickly yellow light that induced nausea. After Picard and Section 31 premieres how will people watch the entire series in order?

I asked this question in the past for Discovery before that show had officially aired but I was curious on how people viewed the entire series of shows and movies. Do you watch it in order of release or chronologically?

Well now that show is in the middle of its second season (and on its way to a third) we have gotten several new shows in production, with the Picard show literally the next Trek show that will air after season 2 of Discovery is done and Section 31 will likely come after Discovery's third season. We also have two animated shows coming (Lower Decks and the Nickelodeon show) but unfortunately we don't know when they take place yet so they are not on the list.

But for me, I imagine this will be how I view them when you add everything.

  1. Enterprise (All seasons)
  2. Discovery (All seasons)
  3. Section 31 (All seasons and more than likely will share the same time period with Discovery)

Some alternatives to FilmStruck

FilmStruck shutting down is a huge loss, but I was surprised at how that article was the first so many people heard of it. I replied to a comment in the news thread asking about alternatives and figured I should expand on that here. Let's highlight some cool niche streaming services before they inevitably shut down too.

Obviously nothing can compete with FilmStruck's library of classic Hollywood film. But if you enjoyed the foreign or independent sides of the service, hopefully these can tide us over until the Criterion Channel finds a new home. This is US-focused, like Filmstruck was.

Price: FREE through your school or library

Without FilmStruck, Kanopy is surely the best movie streaming library out there. Classic film, foreign film, independent film, and even a good number of Criterion movies are available here. A Short List of Successful Writers Who Write Fanfiction

Since nothing gets my goat more than people telling other people what they should or shouldn't be writing I've compiled a short list of writers who write or have written fan fiction at some point in time.

Right off the bat let me say my point in all of this is if you have something you're passionate about writing -- write it. If it gets you from page 1 to "The End" and you learn something along the way it was worth it. If money is your motivation by all means write whatever you want with the aim of getting paid, but there's no need to come down on others for writing whatever they want. Nobody in this industry knows anything and no one can say for certain where the next big thing will come from. As long as you write with realistic goals and expectations no one has a right to tell you what you should/shouldn't be working on.

I'm sure there are more than I can think of so people can feel free to add names.

On to the list:

I sincerely hope people are enjoying these and not getting annoyed that I keep spamming the sub. Someone suggested I include then & now pics. That is a great idea but I think since I missed the first 3 seasons, it might make more sense to just do a big Imgur album of multiple seasons. If no one else does, one I might after I post the Season 5 updates. Season 4 premiered in 2008 and some of the cast had a 10 year reunion this year, which I found very cute. Plot twists this season include having a contestant finish with two different placements (completely messing up my formatting) and not filling the Ashle/Ashlee/Ashleigh/Ashley quota.

Edit: And since I really slacked on videos, please enjoy this behind the scenes video from the Season 4 finale reunion, featuring dancers from all 4 seasons.

We're quickly coming up on Thanksgiving but today is Thankful Thursday

So let's count those blessings, Masons and spectators alike.

Aside from the fact I'm still up and kicking, I have been so blessed this past week. Our play The Crucible is going off beautifully, and has somehow led to a former employee of Nickelodeon reaching out. I've been cast in another short film here in the local community. My paycheck was far more than expected which allows me to cover both my head tax and my speeding ticket (I was truly afraid I wouldn't get a vote this year). My girlfriend may be switching schools to one much closer to home. The list could go on but I'd rather not bore you.

Let's hear the love, my friends and Brothers. What are the silver linings in your cloud? We're close upon the weekend, let us rejoice in the blessings of our past and look forward to the blessings in our future!

cartoons to help fill the Adventure Time void

i know there's a few of these lists floating around, but i wanted to try to make a fuller, more comprehensive list for people really looking for more cartoons to watch (besides the ones we all know, like steven universe, gravity falls, etc)

i wont be summarizing the shows btw, that'd take too long (google!)
fyi: i'll only be covering series, not movies.
hope you find something new!

Lucky Pie - this show is only 5 episodes, and in chinese (videos have english subs on youtube). it ended so soon bc the team was made up of only 2 people. but it's super cute, and really similar to AT. some people call it a knock off but it comes into its own, especially in the final episode.

Harvey Beaks - seriously underrated! and it gets better with every new character. the kids are entertaining and relatable. idk who the actor is for Harvey but he was crazy good. it only lasted 2 seasons since nick loves cancelling their shows if they dont blow up, but def worth the watch.

The Summer of Cartoon Cartoons, Part 2: Ed, Edd, n Eddy

Welcome to another edition of The Summer of Cartoon Cartoons, a special Throwback series featuring the classic line-up of Cartoon Cartoons that graced the schedule of Cartoon Network's channel over the years. In this special birthday installment, we'll be discussing one of my favorite shows from this era, Ed, Edd, n Eddy!

CONTEXT

Danny Antonucci was a child born to Italian immigrants who moved to the friendly frozen tundra up north, Canada. From his childhood, he discovered a passion for art and animation. From that, he used his talents to begin his journey into the animation industry, starting at the Sheridan College of Visual Arts. From there, he worked on various classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons, including The Flinstones (Flinestone Comedy Hour), Scooby Doo (Scooby and Scrappy), and The Smurfs.

But instead of keeping a position there, he decided to find other ave

Another Sinbad / Genie ME Thread - My Recollection

Okay so. I know there have been a lot of these threads coming out recently. I will give you the best possible full recourse of my thoughts on this ME. Just want this to be out there, for you, in entirety. I have a fantastic memory in general.

POINTS >I have not read all of the ME threads here, I only read like... 1 or 2 threads. I saw someone starting to describe the movie plot and stopped reading before I continued just to see if my description of the plot would match up.

>I am well aware of the Kazaam movie. That was a Disney / Mill Creek production. I remember Shazaam as a movie ported straight to VHS from Universal Pictures. I remember the Universal Logo clearly.

>I am well aware of the explanations for the ME, including the Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger special where he popped in before and after commercial breaks. It was not the same outfit. He was playing a "Persian Merchant" or something similar, but the outf

The Summer of Cartoon Cartoons, Prologue: Cartoon Network's Beginnings/What a Cartoon!

Welcome to the first installment of a special Throwback Thursdays series titled The Summer of Cartoon Cartoons! This series will cover all the classic animated shows featured under the wing of Cartoon Network's Cartoon Cartoons brand. Today, we'll be discussing the early days of the animated channel, how things got started, and what led to the beginning of CN's rise to popularity.

CARTOON NETWORK

Cartoon Network was a channel founded by Betty Cohen in October 1st, 1992 under the flagship of Ted Turner's family of television networks after Turner broadcasting initially bought MGM's library in the mid-to-late 80's. Despite another party buying the rights back soon after, Turner retained some of the MGM films, plus their line of cartoons, including pre-1948 Looney Tunes Merrie Melodies shorts, as well as various episodes of Popeye. On top of purchasing Hanna-Barbera Productions in the early 90's, Turner Broadcasting decided to use this library to launch a network dedicat

Last Christmas, following her darkly virtuous lambastings on the state of American Decadence, which she claimed to be embodied within the ethos of Los Angeles, I slept with a semi-famous minor "celebrity" I had never heard of before that night.

Here's something that I never thought would happen to me ever. Half of you probably won't believe it, but I saw this sub and figured that it might actually be an interesting place to write it, so, here you go. Not every day this arbitrary stuff happens, and, frankly, I actually think that it is one of the funniest things that has ever happened to me in my life.

Anyway, so, yeah, I slept with this girl who turned out to be of some prominence, although, despite technically being subconsciously aware of her existence for years (never knew her name till then though), I literally had no idea who she was upon introduction, and did not until shortly before I sealed the deal. She probably liked the fact that I was not a fan and treated her like the average person you'd just strike up a conversation with. Since she is semi-somewhat "high profile", I am not going to give out her name. The story is all that matters. It is likely that many of you, as I did not, haven't ever heard of her, but I'm

Robot Combat TV Archive

I've decided to start cataloging of all robot combat's televised appearances - hopefully my fellow nerds will enjoy discovering new shows through this list.

If you have any suggestions/corrections/links, please let me know! I'm intending this as a collaborative project between the r/robotwars community (and the r/battlebots community too - I'm aware this list is too UK-focused at the moment). Also, if any editors from the RW and/or BB wikis are reading this, feel free to add the list to your wikis!

###Robot Combat Competitions

Robot Wars

Produced by Mentorn / Broadcast on BBC 2 (1998-2003, 2016-present), Channel 5 (2003-2004)

The original televised robot fighting competition. Based on the original Robot Wars competitions held in the US in the mid 90s. Unique characteristics of the format include the ‘gameshow’ presentation style, the antagonistic House Robots, an emphasis on arena hazards, and additional non-combat challenges in the early series. What's Happening at Forest City Comicon Next Weekend?

We’re here on the London sub once again to share what our team has been up to and answer any questions. The Forest City Comicon featuring Project Play is fast approaching (next weekend Nov 5-6). There is LOTS going on this year for (seemingly) every geeky interest.

The goal this year was to put on a great-value of an event for the community: one London can be especially proud of. This has led to the creation of our largest programming schedule ever. We even put together an interactive app to help keep it all straight: http://schedule.forestcitycomicon.ca.

One of the fun things about being a convention in London is that because of our scale we are able to put on events that would simply be overwhelming in a bigger centre like Toronto but we’re large enough to have that “big convention feel” without going overboard. Especially when interacting with Celebrity guests, the difference becomes very noticeable.

We’re happy this year to be offering all events within the convention at

2016 Top 10 Most Crucial Roku Channels for Cord-Cutters [deleted x-post from /r/Roku]

This post was deleted from /r/Roku by the moderator /u/theZcuber for reasons unknown. As such, and at the request of other Roku users on Reddit, I decided to cross-post it here for future reference.

I've been a Roku user since the earliest of days, since the original Roku 1 was released. As such, I've had several years to scour the web and Roku's official channel store in order to find the best channels with the most content. The following list is the result of years of hunting for the best channels out there in order to complete the cord-cutting process. My goal was not just to make my Roku as good as a traditional cable subscription - but better.

So, without further ado, here are my Top 10 Most Crucial Roku Channels for Cord-Cutters:

  1. MyChannels (private) - This channel is always the first channel on my Roku Grid. Why? Because it's the only channel I use on my Roku Grid. It's no secret Roku's 3-per-line channel gri

31 Days of Scary Movies Part III

Part I

Part II

Part III:

  • Day 26: They're Watching (2016)
  • Day 27: The Hallow (2015)
  • Day 28: I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives In the House (2016)
  • Day 29: Cult of Chucky (2017)

Day 26: They're Watching (2016)

Quick Summary: Part House Hunters parody, part horror movie. A TV crew travels to Moldova to check out the renovation of a small house in the woods that Becky, an American, purchased six months ago. The townspeople are...less than friendly and the TV crew has to escape the murderous horde.

Watch it or no? Gooey says "Sure."

It's an original premise and it's mostly clever and fun. My main complaint is that it could have stuck with horror comedy and been fine, but it tried to please everyone. There's a very unnecessary love story; an objectively unlikeable crew member nam

##Adult Swim

Bang!, Review, W/ Bob & David, and Check it Out! With Dr. Steve Brule, which stars an Academy Award nomina
