I (25) have been with my BF (m25) for 4 years. I and my best friend (I'll call her S in this post) are roommates and my BF lives on the other side of the city. He came over on Saturday to stay a week with me. Today when I was doing laundry and went into S's room to get her clothes, I found my BF's boxer in her laundry hamper. At the time, they both were out getting some groceries and lunch. When they got back, I confronted them about this and they both said they did not know how it got there. If this was just a completely random thing, I would have probably not made it a big deal but on Saturday when my BF came, S was kinda flirting with him and when I got mad at her, she said she is just joking and trying to fuck with me and that she obviously won't do it for real. Now, me finding this boxer doesn't seem like a coincidence. What do you people think? Am I being played or just overreacting.?
Nsister yelled at me for using the word "hamper"
I literally just remembered this absurd "fight"
I was 13 or 14 at the time and my older sister who was TWICE my age at the time (she is 14 years older than me) got mad at me because she didn't understand the word "hamper"
We don't speak English at home but it is one of my country's national languages and is the language of instruction in ALL SCHOOLS in ALL LEVELS.
My nMom told me to go looking for a hamper and she said it in our native language. But it's not even a word, it's a long phrase that describes what it is
"Thing we put dirty clothes in"
It's a mouthful
So I asked my sister since she was the last person I saw with the hamper
It went something like this
"Have you seen the hamper?" I said calmly
"WHATT?!?!?" Sister said shouting
"The hamper, have you seen it?"
"WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?!?!"
"The hamper, Nmom is looking for it"
"WHAT THE F*CK IS A HAMPER?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?"
"The thing we put dirty clothes in."
"THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST SAY 'THE THING WE PUT DIRTY CLOTHES IN' WHY DO YOU HAVE TO RUB IT IN MY FACE THAT YOU'RE SO SMART, YOU'RE GOOD AT SPEAKING ENGLISH, THAT YOU THINK I'M SO DUMB. YOU'RE NOT REALLY EVEN SMART, YOU'RE JUST GOOD AT ENGLISH. I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO ARE GOOD AT ENGLISH BUT ARE DUMB AND YOU'RE ONE OF THEM. YOU'RE THE WORST AND I HATE YOU AND I WISH YOU GET RAPED WHEN YOU WALK OUT IN THE STREET AND THEN GET KILLED!!!!!"
My Nparents then barge into the room and get mad at ME because I'm being cocky about being smart and if I was really smart I wouldn't be cocky.
Then I got beaten with a belt and verbally dressed down by being called stupid, and r*tarded and a waste of space and that if I wasn't alive they'd be so better off financially
And my sister just watches this go down with a smug look on her face and then she threw the hamper at me saying
"Here's your hamper" she said dripping with malice
God, I hate my Nfamily.
On days when I feel guilty for hating them and fall for the gaslighting
I go back to these memories to keep me sane
They're the WORST.
I have always felt sheβs really salty about being jinxed for Aishwarya by Abhishek and she felt betrayed because she considered Aishwarya a very close friend. (I remember seeing her on Aishβs Jeena Isi Ka Naam again episode!!)
Considering how well received the hampers from Vicky-Katrina are, is it so because everyone loves them or people understand just because of COVID!!
Letβs be honest, I want many many more thingsβ¦sexual activity, a date, any kind of spontaneity whatsoever.
But Iβm not going to get any of this.
Instead Iβm going to continue to listen to him complain about his job every single fucking day. Watch him drop shit all over the house thinking elves pick up after him (no matter how many times I remind him itβs me). I have to keep reminding him that he needs a showerβcan you not SMELL that?
And Iβll continue doing triple duty of being the primary bread winner, taking care of the home, and taking care of our child.
Goddamnit I wish I knew then what I know now. I never would have done this.
My partner is not from the UK, but studied and lived in England for nearing on 10 years. She's currently back in her home country and feeling a little "homesick".
So as the title says, what things are a must for a UK care package?
I of course put a cute little wicker hamper on our registry but am realizing that's probably not the most functional item with stinky baby clothes and a laundry room in the basement (two floors down). FTM here and baby is due in January so I'm not sure of the typical workflow of changing clothes/doing laundry. Is it reasonable to think that I could get trash bags for dirty clothes inside a wicker hamper so that I could just take the trash bag down to the laundry room and dispose of it after? We have a bathroom sink that I plan to use for blowouts (is this gross?) on the second floor. What's your best laundry/hamper tips??
Many wonder why Atari stock seems to be undervalued and is not available to many of us. My explanation is quite simple:
The current CFO Phillipe Mularski (64) is the wrong person for this position.
Atari has paid tens of thousands in punitive fees in the past for failing to meet reporting timelines and just recently was stopped from trading OTC in the US for the same reasons.
Atari also had to write off millions due to the incorrect representation of capitalized R&D costs for mobile games in past reports.
Who was responsible you ask? I would argue that preparing and filing financial statements in time and ensuring correct accounting of costs in these statements are basically THE main tasks of a CFO. But Grampa M. has done none of them.
Why is that you ask? For me there is only one explanation:
He was waaay too busy for such noob tasks while operating the office printer to produce endless pages of stock option plans for himself and other executive staff.
Atari's latest annual report mentions the word "options" an unbelievable 325 times on 156 pages. You read correctly. More than f***ing 2 times per page (and some pages show nothing but the Fuji)!
Between his appointment in 2014 and Sep 2019 this dude and his boss have printed 26'995'611 shares through stock option plans with exercising prices of β¬0.16 (144'000 shares), β¬0.17 (2.378.528 shares), β¬0.20 (5'573'139 shares), β¬0.228 (3'725'000 shares), β¬0.27 (370'000 shares), β¬0.28 (11'871'610 shares), β¬0.35 (633.334 shares) and β¬0.458 (2'300'000 shares).
Now you can guess 3 times who the main beneficiary of these options was.
I give you a hint: In 2020/21 alone (!) 8'752'657 stock options have been exercised at an average price of β¬0.223 by Fred Chesnais. Now I leave you guessing who may have most probably exercised most of the 27m.
I am not saying that the owners and executives of a company should not participate in the success of the company or provide capital to that company at a discount (I think that can even be a positive thing if done correctly), I'm just providing a possible explanation why the company is sometimes trading sideways or correcting down quickly when people expect major catalysts to instead drive the price up.
I mean, retail investors would probably also like to provide capital - even at fair market prices - but they can't because Atari fails to report their financials?! That's absurd.
At 9/30/2021 still 4'027'919 stock options at an average exercise price of β¬0
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hey guys! Doing my master's in Sheffield (lived here for 3 years already) and want to do a Christmas hamper for my grandparents. They like their cheeses, lagers etc.
Can anyone recommend some places to buy Sheffield made stuff? (I already have hendos relish ofc!!). I'm going to try the moor market but not sure where else to go.
Thanks! :)
I want to gift a couple a hamper for Christmas as they love wine and cheese, BUT how do I do that. They may stash it away and not open it till Christmas and then the cheese might go off. Or if I let them know what it is, it's not exactly a present for Christmas day and it ruins the surprise. I have no idea how people get over these hurdles.
I have very few people to shop for over Christmas so most of what I spend ends up being for me, and usually edible. Pork Pie and Toblerone and shortbread are on my essential list. What do you lot include in yours, if you do them?
I am helping my boyfriend put together a Christmas hamper this weekend for his parents, and weβd like to fill it with a selection of food goodies from local independent shops across Nottingham(shire). Probably going to nip to my local deli and farm shop, but would like some recommendations of other places. Ideally Nottingham city centre or west of. Thanks!
I am sorry this is not totally and completely related to teaching, but I need a group of colleagues to help generate ideas.
For the last four years, I have put together hampers for some of our neediest families. An old administrator used to this on her own, but she changed schools and it was somehow passed on to me. I love doing it and the families are so appreciative. We usually put together a dozen or so hampers with essentials and treats for the families. They are pretty personal with things they, as family, may specifically need (diapers, pet food, etc.) and there are always gifts in there for each family member.
There was a lot of change at my school this year and those who usually helped me out are no longer at the school. I put the word out and no colleagues came forward (that's okay - it's a lot of work and it's a very busy time). Our new admin is less than interested in this project beyond giving me a budget.
In all honesty, this year has been terrible and I just haven't been able to find the time to do it all myself. I decided that instead of putting together actual hampers, I will be purchasing gift cards (okay'd by the district).
The monetary value will be about the same as in years past, but will give families the autonomy to purchase what they need. It just looks like "less" and I feel really bad about this for some reason. I feel like I owe the families an explanation or a justification about why this year looks different.
Does anyone have any idea what I can say in a short letter to them about the gift cards? How to "spin" it? I am not looking to explain why they got gift cards this year (i.e. my lack of help/support). I am sure there is something really simple and straightforward I am not thinking of, but my brain has just not been working.
Hampers should have false bottoms so you donβt hurt your back bending over, but what if they donβt ?
By the regulations- βWhen manual unloading is necessary, unload the hampers until they are half emptied, and then tip the hampers over to unload the remainder.β
Have fun with this tomorrow!! (Pics in Link)
