They're both sisters and unmarried so, unless the QoW named them after the men she fricked but seeing as she hates men she probably used magic to get pregnant or something. Maybe she just created them in a test tube.?

Mayberry, USA

In 1965, the Three Trails neighbourhood of Independence, Missouri, was filled with the laughter of children; dozens of them lived within short walking distance. Three Trails was a safe neighbourhood and the sense of community was strong. Parents let their children roam freely, ride their bikes around and play together. Alexander Graham, a former resident, compared the area to a real-life Mayberry, USA. The Clinton family lived on South Scott Avenue, in the heart of Three Trails.

Car agency service manager Russ lived with his wife Betty Sue and their two daughters, 9-year-old Denise and 6-year-old Diana in a single-storey, comfortable family home. Denise and Diana were best friends with Gail and Cathy Lackland, two sisters who lived right across the street. Denise and Gail were the same age, as were their younger sisters, so they were very close.

Denise was smart and tall for her age. She had reddish blonde hair, blue eyes and freckles scattered over the bridge of her nose. She was neat, well-mannered, and always "did what was right". She was a girl scout and, like most neighbour children, attended Three Trails Elementary School, located a mere three minute walk from her house. Before the age of 5, Denise knew the family's phone number by heart, which her parents had made sure of, in case she ever got lost.

In the summer of 1965, Denise had just finished third grade, and the family embarked on a two week-long trip to California, seeing numerous places, including Disneyland. On the 3rd of July, they returned to Independence and, after celebrating the Fourth, Denise was sent to visit her maternal grandparents, Chelcie "Jack" Reynolds, 63, and 60-year-old Dorothy Reynolds. The couple had 15 grandchildren at the time, and they all took turns visiting them.

They managed the now defunct Great Plains Motor Hotel on U.S. 71, about 15-20 miles away from downtown Kansas City, Missouri and close to Kansas City International Airport. Hello, I’ve never written a post on here. William Wacker was my great uncle. Bill and Dorothy were in an Unsolved Mysteries episode. For those of you who don’t know: They were harassed, Dorothy was knocked out by the intruder, odd notes were left, and belongings were stolen. I have recently discovered the case after looking for Bill’s enlistment records. He was a Private First Class. The harassment took place before I was born. My grandma, his sister, has since passed on. I will be asking around to my family members about this case. I’ll be updating as it goes on and I find out more. I like true crime a lot and stumbled upon this case after looking at family records. The crime took place in Massillon, where most of my moms side lives. From what I know, William was my grandmas brother, my aunts lived near William and Dorothy. All of the siblings have died so, that leaves me with a bunch of aunts and my grandparents to ask about this case. Apparently, my family knew about it and I’m the latest to find out. I have asked one aunt briefly and she told me that he was my grandmas brother. I’ll be asking my grandfather. I have seen people claiming the crime was a hoax and I’d like to debunk that myself. Sorry this post was a mess. Like I said, I’ll keep it updated. I doubt it’ll get much attention but hey, just for fun.

Dorothy supposedly got pregnant and then married and divorced after 38 years, so she should have a 40 something child, but both her children are under 30. Did they really make such an obvious mistake or did they explain it during the show?

I remember I wanted to ask my friend in high school if he was gay, but didn't want to make it uncomfortable so I asked if he was a friend of Dorothy's in a casual manner. Thankfully, he got the euphemism and no one else understood what we said.

I HATE that Dorothy was so forgiving of stans annoying antics and the fact that she was ALWAYS there for them after him divorcing her for another women. I understand that he was her first love but God why did the writers make Dorothy seem so dumb when it came to Stan.

I thought the phrase "friends of Mara" sounded vaguely familiar, like a euphemism I'd heard before, so I looked it up. "Friends of Dorothy" is a slang phrase used by gay men to self-identify back in WWII America, when homosexuality was illegal. The phrase can also be used to refer to LGBT people in general. I can't be certain that this is something the Crew-Ra intentionally referenced, but given the very LGBT-positive nature of the show there's a strong chance it was.

a little bit about this: it’s pride month and i’m a gay man. lately i’ve been thinking about the unfortunate reality of gay men often having to rely solely on dating apps to find partners and how they can easily lead nowhere, how we just keep searching sometimes with no end in sight. i wrote this as an epilogue to my thoughts.
