Yes, the news is absolutely true. And PeepingMoon.com can exclusively tell you that not only will Dharma Productions or any other film business of Karan Johar’s ever work with Kartik Aaryan again, but they have replaced the actor from their major on-the-floor production Dostana 2. This is the first time a big production house has taken the harsh decision to replace its leading actor mid-shoot. But sources say that Dharma was pushed to the wall by Kartik’s “unprofessional behaviour” and having burned its fingers with him on the Collin D’Cunha-directed Dostana 2, has vowed never to work with him again.
It wasn’t just Kartik’s “date issues” that were delaying the film and forced KJo’s hand. The last straw was the actor suddenly developing “creative issues” with the second half of Dostana 2. Upset Dharma sources want to know why Kartik had no “creative issues” with the script when he came on board in 2019. The buzz is that Kartik’s tantrums on Dostana 2 began as soon as he broke up with lead actress Janhvi Kapoor whom he was reportedly dating. The two even took a holiday in Goa with Janhvi’s younger sister Khushi in January. Nobody knows what went wrong there but Kartik reportedly came back changed.
A Bollywood gossip queen said that Kartik started being vindictive with Janhvi. “After both actors committed to Dostana 2, Kartik made it impossible for her to do Shashank Khaitan’s film (then Mr. Lele) and she lost it to Kiara Advani. Now he doesn’t want to share screen space with his ex anymore it seems,” she added. A disbelieving trade pundit, when informed of Kartik’s ouster from Dostana 2, said, “Despite all the nepotism noise, Karan Johar chose an outsider to frontline one his most awaited sequels. Kartik will regret this. Dharma is a big production house. Look what Dostana in 2008 did to John Abraham’s career.”
A source from Dostana 2 said, “It’s strange for an outsider like Kartik to give such attitude to a nepo kid like Janhvi and a producer like Dharma. This, after shooting for 20 days. It will cost us crores and also put on hold the career of Lakshya who was making his debut. Janhvi is a star and will go on to do other big films.” The trade pundit added, “At the peak of the nepotism row, Karan Johar cast an outsider with just a handful of films along with a newcomer and a debutant to take ahead the legacy of a super hit like Dostana that had Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham. Kartik seems to have forgotten that.”

Karthik probably saw what happened with roohi I.e. rkr was sidelined from his own movie and it was promoted as a jhanvi movie. Dostana 2 was probably going in the same direction where jhanvi was given a lot more importance in the script due to her being a dharma talent. Kartik started making a fuss about it and was fired due to this
Dharma Productions has debarred Kartik Aryan for the near future, unless he turns out to be so wildly successful that they reluctantly chase him, just like Salman Khan, for the box office numbers.
Kartik Aaryan has reportedly been fired from Dostana 2 by Dharma Productions due to the actor’s “unprofessional behaviour”. Sources say that Karan Johar’s production house is replacing the actor in the sequel to their 2008 hit. PeepingMoon.com has reported that Dharma Productions or any other film business of Karan Johar’s has vowed never to work with Kartik again.
Production on Dostana 2 was already underway, and it is rare for a big production house to replace a prominent actor midway. He had already completed 20 days of shoot for the film. Sources say that Dharma was pushed to the wall by Kartik’s “unprofessional behaviour”. Reports also say that there was lack of clarity on commitment of dates from his talent management agency.
In October 2019, Kartik had revealed in an Instagram post that he had started preparing for Dostana 2. In the post, he could be seen holding the film’s script. He had also talked about the film in subsequent interviews, saying that the role will push boundaries for him.
Dostana 2 was kicked off with the cast including Kartik, Janhvi Kapoor and TV actor Lakshya. It is directed by Collin D’Cunha. The original film had starred Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan, which told the story of two men who pretend to be gay to share an apartment with a girl with whom they eventually fall in love. The first installment was a massive success despite controversies. This was because it was the first mainstream Indian film to explore homosexuality.
Karan Johar and Dharma Pr doing negative paid trend against Kartik Aaryan on twitter
They even paid some verified accounts to tweet against him .. if you look carefully under the "Kartik Aryan" tag then you will see all the negative tweets are done by bots only ( they only tweet about paid tags and trends) and they are retweeted by bots only .. with similar wordings like " kartik aryan tauntrams" " good that karan johar threw him out " ..
Watch Varun or Alia interviews about Dulhania movies. They say things like they are very different for doing heartland love story
Varun, Alia, Janhvi are called brave for doing Raazi, October, Gunjan
Ranveer as Khilji was compared to Dark Knight Joker
But industry totally ignored SMZS's success. Such sweet, simple movie. Had love, family, heartland. It was successful, well accepted. Insider gang did not say Indian audience is welcoming. Insider gang did not say actors, director, storywriter were brave. No acknowledging. Only because the star there was Ayushmaan.
It is not ""one family"". It is even now clearly you are either born insider or always remain outsider. Audience is only a pawn to fill the tiny insider group's pocket
A lot of people seem to think that Karan Johar is the one who is the villain here and that Kartik hasn’t done anything wrong but am in the only one who has a different perspective?
Karan is a producer/business man so he will obviously take decisions which will benefit him/his company. Outsing Kartik from a movie that had already started shooting will bring great losses to Dharma Productions mostly. Not to mention, SSR’s death is still quite fresh and he would have known this would bring disrepute so if he still took this drastic step then there actually has to be some big reason behind it? That’s what I think since every coin has 2 sides.
Seems like a good chance I will get downvoted
I recently have run into trouble when asking myself what the most important thing is to me. The immediate thing that comes to mind is dharma. The problem is that practically nobody I know shares the same interest as me in the dharma and I’m 17 years old trying to make sense of the world having been exposed to ‘hardcore dharma’ as Daniel Ingram might say.
I live in London and teenage life in London quite naturally involves partying, sex, drugs and other shenanigans. I’ve always been one that enjoys this sort of thing as it’s generally encouraged in English culture and I’ve always had the idea that life is about experiencing as much as possible. However, these things are not conducive to advanced meditation practice which is what I have been getting progressively more interested in since I started practicing 2 years ago. It is clear to me that vipassana and samatha is what will contribute to my own fulfilment as opposed to wealth or a successful career (especially having extremely wealthy parents that are quite dissatisfied).
Essentially I love the dharma. I love meditation practice and exploring my mind. But, I also want to live a normal young adult life and explore those things too. Is there a sacrifice to make here, or are they completely compatible?
I’m wondering whether anyone can relate to this sort of sacrifice or renunciation and whether anyone has wisdom to share on the topic?
EDIT: Thank you all for the responses, such a supportive community :)
At 3:47:- Dharma spent a lot of PR money to prop up KA ...
At 8:20:- KA's personal PR planted a fake story that he was doing SLB's film... SLB denied it ... This annoyed KJo who felt KA was being oversmart with his PR
