I cover (and work at the) U.S. Capitol for Colorado Public Radio, a state that, in the past year, flipped a senate seat blue (Cory Gardner to John Hickenlooper), elected GOP political newcomer and MAGA supporter Lauren Boebert to Colorado's largest district, and voted for Joe Biden by one of the largest margins in state history.
I've also worked for NPR, WNYC, and KQED...and I spent some time working for the federal government, with stints at the Dept. of Defense and the State Dept.
I was at the Capitol on Jan. 6 and will be covering the inauguration tomorrow. AMA!

EDIT: Thanks for your great questions. Gotta get to work now...it's a busy week! P.S. We address many of your questions in our CPR's podcast about Colorado Politics β it's called Purplish. Look for it wherever you get your podcasts!
Hey, Reddit! Shana here. I've covered jobs and careers at Business Insider for nearly six years. My main focus is the HR Insider series, for which I've interviewed talent leaders at Microsoft and Google and published guides to landing a role at Goldman Sachs and Salesforce. I'm always thrilled to help people find β or craft! β their dream jobs. Now's the time to ask whatever's on your mind about job-searching and career development in a recession.
Hey, Reddit! Itβs Erica. I have worked for the past twenty years with some of the most iconic brands in the world as a consultant, speaker, author, and professional dot-connector. I help companies design more human workplace cultures and help people at all levels bring their human to work.

EDIT: And that's a wrap! Thanks for these incredibly thoughtful questions! If you have more, you can send them to [email protected]
Hi Reddit! In addition to Fallon, Iβve also written for Jay Leno and WWE. The now infamous joke that I wrote for Seth Meyers is the first joke in this video:
Many people at that dinner (e.g. Maggie Haberman at the NYT and Adam Gopnik from the New Yorker) believe that night was a pivotal moment in Trump's decision to run. Warranted or not, people like to remind me that I wrote that joke, and it has haunted me since Nov. 4, 2016. Because of that, I figured that election day 2020 would be a good time to host this AMA (especially since none of us might be here tomorrow).
It's a pretty weird (but 100% true) story, and you can read the basics of it here:
The fun continued when I suffered a mini stroke (on the NYC subway) in 2018, but have recovered and am now teaching writing at Emerson College. My latest project is an adult party card game called Anti-Social Skills. You can play it at ASSkills.com right now. Thatβs right, Iβm now the βasskills guy.β
(If you donβt care about the Trump joke and just want to shoot the shit about Late Night -- how I got the job, transitioning to Tonight Show, the βhair tussling incident etc -- WWE, making a game, The Beach Boys, or the Boston Celticsβ¦ thatβs cool, too.)

[Haliburton] Excited to be apart of the team! Hope yβall are ready!ππ½
Tyrese is the truth. Excited to hear from his perspective!
This year I quit Facebook as part of a broader strategy to cut down on inauthentic relationships of all kinds.
The result was pretty predictable: most of my connections are more invested in the Facebook platform than they are in their relationship with me.
And I didn't rage quit. I gave six weeks' notice and several alternative ways to contact me.
I find it very draining to invest in friendships when the other person doesn't reciprocate.
Maybe I should feel lighter but I don't. I feel heavy with the grief of the soulful, nurturing people I used to know, people I met before social networking got its superficial grip on the world.
When these people come to mind I try to be grateful that they were there in my life. But I worry about a future where I will end up alone and forgotten.
Apologies if this is in the wrong place and for the spelling mistakes (on my phone).

Iβve been thinking of joining up now that Iβve lost weight but Iβm worried because I have Scheuermannβs disease, regardless, Iβve been watching a lot of documentaries and educating myself before I make the jump and Iβm curious:
Are embedded journos or war correspondents a danger/hinderance to you? Considering (from what Iβve seen) they wear different colour apparel and surely make your group more of a target?
Tried researching but nearly nothing came up about this, and the stuff that did focused more on the journos themselves rather than people serving
Seems incredibly obvious to me but I might be missing something
Apologies if this is a stupid question Cheers guys
(Spoilers are for Sunless Skies and Heartβs Desire.)
Viric Phantasies lack two Professions. Hmmm... *grinch grin*
(Feel free to add yours in the comments, Iβd love to read them!)
The Jovial Contrarian
Warning: Hurry up before he buys all samples for himself to argue with his dream-twin.
Beginning: Your delightful wedding is a paragon of a respectable social event. At least before the words "any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony" bring a very familiar smile onto your soon-to-be-husbandβs face. Well, perhaps not so soon after all. But itβs going to be unforgettable.
Professional option: For a Correspondent. He once gave you private debating lessons; will you return the favour by teaching him the art of doing it in languages that shape the universe? Will you write down his brilliant and ardent words in starfire?
Ending: You two are on board of >!the Berrenger, winking to each other from behind your masks. Your marriage may seem as old as this trainwreck, but the secret is that itβs just as intact and ready for new adventures at any time.!<
The Manager
Warning: He knows what you are doing in your sleep. Yes, including your plans when youβll get these annoying brass buttons out of your way. Try not to meet his eye afterwards, or that smirk will haunt you for days.
Beginning: Youβre his precious chance to let go of the bitter past and allow himself to be happy, and you do your best to make it come true. And as for your own hopes... he sees the depths of your dreams, fears and desires; is it any wonder that he understands what you want without a word, and gives it to you with truly royal generosity?
Professional option: For a Silverer. Join his hunt for nightmares, or invite him to join yours. Chase the runaway minds of his patients across the Is-Not; help soothe and study their dreams. Chart a vast map of millenia of memories together.
Ending: You walk the streets of >!a golden city. Eyes in the walls are watching you with unmistakable affection. You hear his whisper in the shifting of sand and feel his breath in the warm wind with a note of cedars and incense. Few can find this impossible place, but you will always be welcome here.!<
The snack time story about the guy that faked being a war reporter really makes me want to hear the rest of it! This seems like the type of story that has everything needed to be a best-of-all-time episode, or maybe even a mini series?
