Due to the absence of a chapter this week a couple of the community members thought it would be fun to have a little competition making manga panel edits, similar to what u/KanoKariEdits and many others do. A couple examples can be seen here and here.

Not quite sure when I saw this, probably in the last 5 years, but somebody submitted the same caption every week to the New Yorker for years and one week it got picked but someone else wrote it (thus they got no credit), so they bashed the caption contest and all it stood for.
The caption may have been something like "I'll have what he's having" but that would be a guess.
This was my first month qualifying and I was super stoked!
But it just seems kind of.... fishy? Like, how a few have 500+ votes. You’re not allowed to solicit votes, so how does this happen?
A few people privates messaged me saying they loved my caption and that they were sorry I probably wouldn’t win because it’s a “popularity contest.”
