Butane torch

What is the best budget torch you guys use? I had a torch 400 from Amazon and it only lasted about 6 months. Anyone recommend anything that will last longer? Not looking to spend more than 25.

I just got this single torch butane insert and I tried refilling it with butane gas last night and for the life of me I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. It lit up a couple times but it goes out a couple of seconds, currently, no flame. I've watched a lot of videos and read EDC forums posts and I still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I practiced refilling with a coworkers cheap lighter, I managed to fill that one but not my Zippo even though I did the same exact thing. I'm at my wit's end, I tried refilling it this morning, still nothing.

I wasn’t able to get to a smoke shop to pick up a new can of butane, and went to my local hardware store instead. I tried to see if this question has been asked before, but didn’t see any while searching for it.

Is it safe to use Wall Lenk Professional Grade Butane to heat a titanium nail? The bottle says it’s isobutane and triple filtered.

I just picked up one of the official Zippo butane inserts for my lighter. I really like the idea of having a torch in a Zippo, but have been having some problems with it. It sparks reliably, but only stays lit for a couple seconds. Weirdly enough, it seems to work rather well (consistency lights and hold a steady flame) when I take it out of the case, but will only stay lit for a fraction of a second once I put it back in. Anyone else have this experience/know what to do?

Howdy, anybody who has a butane insert, when you light it does it light on the first "strike"?

When I got mine it did...but after a week or so it usually lights on the second click rather than the first...

It's only on its second fill and I've only used newport butane so...I was expecting it to light easier...

I got a butane torch when I got the Dynavap and apparently they filled the torch and it was supposed to last a few weeks. It ran out within a week (I used it 2-3 times) and I’ve been using my lighter since then.

What brand do you use? I have been using neon 11x refined in my torch but I am wondering if there is something less expensive like ronson for it.

I have thought about getting 1 of those little propane tanks with a torch on it but I do not know that I feel safe with using that and storing it inside or is it safe to do that with it? I would rather just use the regular torch with butane but looking for the least expensive way to do it.

Someone hooked me up with free rosin, I don't know what's it's called but here's a picture and he didn't tell me the quantity... as someone who NEVER got rosin like this I can't eyeball the portion. Can someone here give me an idea of how heavy this rosin? How many dosages I can get off it? (I have moderate tolerance to flower)

Anyway, moving on to a more important question. My china glass didn't arrive. I have the following:

1. Rosin picture
2. Butane Torch
3. Meth pipe (from old habit, I cleaned it)

Can someone explain to me how to dab with these tools? Or if there's a better way, please inform me!

Looking for a torch for my dynavap, currently can't use it as I don't have a torch.

New Torch here. I filled it up the first time with Ronson butane and it worked fine. Tried to fill it up the second time, using Lotus butane, and it started doing this? I've purged it totally twice and refilled it, trying both Ronson and Lotus. Now it does this everytime. Any advice? Thanks!

Honest Torch Problem - Any Advice?

The only way I see it causing an explosion is if it cause a fire which then heated the canister enough to explode.

And in the case of ignited leaked butane vapors, wouldn’t it be a flash fire.

I bought a culinary torch a year or two ago, and it's been sitting in the box for awhile. I'd always been meaning to use it, but had been a little intimidated. I finally decided I wanted to use it this week for my birthday. I'm planning on making a s'mores tart! After finally opening the box, I realize I need butane fuel. I then went online to see if I could order some for rush delivery, but was surprised when I was consistently told that the butane could not be delivered to my address.

And that's how I learned that butane was outlawed in California between now and when I bought a butane torch. What have other people been doing?

Ugh! I have two zippo butane containers and the first one emptied correctly and lasted in the torch for a good amount if time but I'm refilling it constantly since it ran out. I can't tell if the butane is making it all in there. I've found if I shake the torch it helps it work after filling but I'm just confused. Any tips or instructionals y'all could suggest??

I thought this would fit here and i’ve always wondered, what’s the difference (if any) between using a propane vs butane torch to heat up a quartz banger? I’ve always assumed the taste is similar and it using propane doesn’t damage the banger. Any comments would be cool thanks.

I use power brand mega plus 5x to fill my blazer and have never had any issues. I just got a gabon scorch torch lighter and was wondering if its high enough quality to use for that as well? Everyone on the internet seems to only use either vector, colibri or xicar so I can't find any useful info

Hello, I went with the recommendation of the shop owner and bought a special blue butane torch (it’s red).

I bought a Butane called Ultra Pure, made by special blue.

It worked great for about 2 hours and now we don’t hear any gas come out...the instructions say to only fill for 2-4 seconds, that’s what I did.

Any ideas what’s going on??

I've bought a couple of torches from local shops, as well as some Bernzomatic torches. All have never lasted a year for me. Either the fuel stops or the ignition stops. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong becaus I'm handling them as instructed, and I only use it a few times daily (so maybe a few minutes of use every day totall).

What has been your experience?

My torch is running low and I have some butane next to me. It’s to late to go out and buy one and I wanna take a dab. Can I fill it for a temporary torch?

I bought a kitchen torch and a can of butane, my husband filled it the first time but didn’t do it for long so my flame was very weak. So I filled it again, this time for about a minute/90 seconds. The first flame that came out of it was really strong, but it only lasted a second then it was even weaker than before. (I had the flame setting on max). I’m confused if I’m not filling it right or if there could be an issue with the torch. To fill it I’m just pressing the nozzle of the can into the bottom of the torch. I tried to use a different tip that looked like it would fit better but that just ended up spraying butane everywhere when I tried filling the torch again, and now the tip is really stuck on the butane can and I’m not sure if I can pull it off or if I’m going to break it! Is there a trick to changing the tips on butane? As you can see I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing, and I don’t particularly like playing around with flammable stuff so any advice is greatly appreciated.
