I assume those are pine or beech. I guess it's hard to tell from the pics but I'd be happy to hear your ideas.

Beech mountain bike rentals
So i am heading down to beech mountain in a couple of days and unfortunately i am not able to bring my downhill bike with me, so I will be renting. I was wondering how good the rentals at beech are taken care of. For example, I went to deer valley bike park last year and when i rented, the rentals were horrible, barely any sealant, crappy brakes, horrible pedals. the pedals were the biggest issue for me, though, it was cheap well-go pedals with like 3 pins on it. Since rossignoll bikes are the rental fleet at beech mountain like they were in deer valley, i am wondering that it will be the same pedals. If anyone knows just leave a comment. thanks

A new sapling popped up between a maple and a pine tree in the forest and they got into an argument over what kind of tree it was. The maple thinks it's a son of a birch and the pine thinks it's a son of a beech. Neither one was willing to concede to the other...
The maple barked, "It's a son of a birch!"
The pine bristled, "It's a son of a beech!"
"Son of a birch!"
"Son of a beech!"
After arguing back and forth for a while, they decided that they needed someone else to sort out what kind of tree it was.
They called Mr. Woodpecker over and they asked him, "Mr. Woodpecker, can you please tell us whether or not this new sapling is a son of a birch or son of a beech?!"

Help with water stains on beech wood countertop
Hi guys.
I got this beautiful beech wood (Fagus in Latin, hope gtranslate got it) countertop from a friend.
I treated it with a couple coats of Ikea bought oil for cutting boards. Nevertheless, I get water stains on it that are awful looking, and would really like to not put any lacker on it to preserve the natural feel and look. Do you have any ideas or recommendations?Any help would be awesome.
