I know there is an NPC in FR/LG at least that tells you about the stat boosts, but I had never heard about the type boosts. In GSC, the Zephyr badge in particular increases your attack stat by 12.5% AND increases your Flying-type moves by 12.5%, meaning all Flying moves are now multiplied by 1.265625 as a result, since all Flying moves are physical in Gen 2.
In Gen 3, the stat boost is only 10% not 12.5%
In all Gens, the boosts are not applied in link battles
I'm sure we all agree that the starters are annoying to catch. Without a Razz berry, they will continually break out even at Level 15 or less. There is no reason that they should be this difficult or actively ignored due to their ball & berry wasting ways.
I propose that at the very least, the regional dex badges should make their respective starters easier to catch. Kanto would also include the annoying Pikachu. Additionally, when they revamp the Pokedex, they should expand this idea, so that if you've caught 100 or 200 of things like Nosepass, Minccino and Combee they just get easier to catch since you're "experienced" at doing so.
I apologize in advance, as this is very mild (if amusing) malicious compliance.
Several months ago I lost my badge for work. Now, this is an issue, because I work IT and my job is going to about two dozen offices that need a security/ID badge to get in.
I tried for a week or two to get by with a temporary one that a coworker lent me while I tried to find the original. (I didn't until last week).
So, it was time for a new badge. I contacted my manager, and the HR person to get the ball rolling. As it turns out, the place I work for had somehow lost the original photo for my ID badge and needed me to send a new one so I could get it printed.
So, of course, along with the request to send a new picture- I was sent a list of requirements which are as follows
Lighting must be sufficient to make all features identifiable and minimize shadows
Background must be unobtrusive and of light color
The face, neck, and shoulders must be visible
Eyes must be open
The picture must be in focus
Hmm did you notice what I noticed? There's absolutely no mention of specific or appropriate clothing to wear for the photo!
I'm a person that likes to see what I can get away with, so, I go home and get ready to take the picture!
I happen to be a die-hard marvel fanboy and have a very posh deadpool cosplay that I bought
because I have a problem with wisecracking characters with serious subplots "for halloween".
So I donned the Deadpool costume, swords and all, (minus the mask), had my roommate take the picture, and sent it in to HR.
>I don’t see a no cosplay rule in my picture requirements, so I’m going to go for it. I like your chutzpah!
Now my official work badge, with enough security clearance that I can happily walk into pretty much any building I want in my city, has a picture of me dressed as deadpool.
Here's the pic, for those curious- https://imgur.com/a/KbAv4GE
Split it up based on position, pie chart and the maximum number of finishing, shooting, playmaking, and defensive badges every position could get.
I think i made it easy to understand which pie chart is which but if not they're in the same order as they are in the myplayer builder. Only references the majority pie(s).
Only looked at badge numbers because attributes will be the same if builds have the same pie charts, height, weight, and wingspan. Didn't feel like going through every single variation of attributes for every single alteration either.
Few possible glitches/new interesting things(can add things if left in the comments):
Point guards don't get more badges for every single build
a slashing/playmaking hybrid small forward is the only non pure build to get 30 badges in 1 category
Several sf, pf , and center builds can get more playmaking badges than the guard counterparts
Post Moves has a greater impact on playing badges than last year
If you were to take the existing mechanics of the mainline series and write the story for a mainline game, does anyone have any good story ideas that don't involve the league? Pokemon Colosseum and XD exist, so a good story can come out of a game that doesn't use the league to advance the plot. Does anyone have any ideas that are different from what XD and Colosseum did?
So yeah Title and let’s hope we get garmin connect up again shortly
EDIT: OMG thanks for my first gold!!!!
Two of my first subscribers were banned for awful behaviour very early on (of the "I gave you money and you're a woman so now I control what you do" nature). I think it would be good if Twitch allowed those founders badges to be passed down the row to the next two subscribers to honour the people in a community who truly were a part of the growth and facilitation of the community.
It would be nice to have this as an option, although I know there's possible issues (joke bans, people who are later unbanned). It's also probably not a huge issue for a lot of streamers, but I feel like there's cases where there are people far more deserving of those founder badges, and it would be nice to be able to make use of them.
I had almost completely forgotten about this, but while I was replaying White and got to this part, I realized what a cool idea it really was. Entering gate after gate, remembering every single gym, as the music builds up until it becomes the victory road theme, ugh! So great.
It feels like going through airport security, only way more fun.
I think that would be a cool way to remember this crazy event that's been happening all year. Only badges I have on my profile are just the 17 year badge :(
I got the ebook from my library right after I saw the podcast. Literally did not even get up. LOL. My attitude is that I'm so happy to have realized how awful alcohol is. I don't want to count the days since I drank that poison. I want to forget about it and move on. I avoided the trap. I'm not an addict. I don't have an allergy or a disease. I fell into an addiction trap. I don't say I 'quit' drinking because I never signed up for my lifetime. I just stopped and I am so happy. So I won't drink with you and applaud your good sense to stop drinking poison like I did. edit: punctuation
Here are the high-resolution photos which come up when you search for portland federal officers:
This is a CBP patch
This is an ICE patch
This is a front view, so it's not possible to see what patches they're wearing. Just like you can't read a police officer's badge if they're turned away from you.
These guys are from Customs and Border Protection: BORTAC
All the way on the left and out of focus, you can make out an ID patch on the guy's left shoulder which looks something like "NZ11".
You can see a clearer view of that patch here:
That "unidentified" man's ID number is "NZ39"
Only right shoulders are visible, but this is the same CBP patch as the first photo
Here are some clearer angles of their left shoulders:
ID numbers from left to right: EM1, CS1, BL8?
Two photos of the same guy (Marshals have ID patches on both shoulders, and the watch matches):
US Marshal Service
Same unit as ZT1 guy:
US Marshal Service
There are too many more to name, but you get the point. Here's a thread on another forum... keep reading on reddit ➡
Backstory: really was an extrovert as a kid so I took boy scouts (this was before girl scouts can join boy scouts). I was really good at it so I continued to work hard and when I was 13 I took a first aid Merritt badge. So I did my thing and got the pre badge requirements done so I was pumped to so it.
Let's meet out cast for today.
EP: the entitiled counselor who was bais against me
SM: scout master
K: ep's kid
Story: so I got all my prereqs done and I was super hype to do the badge along with others. So I showed my understanding of the badge and even the older scouts there were impressed. So when EP need help I gave it to her not knowing the result.
So I was helping a kid out and EP pulled me aside to only tell me this
"You need to grow up a bit before you can the badge. Look at my son, he 100% knows what he is doing and is over first class"
(I was a tenderfoot at the time)
So I tried to calmly explain to her that I obviously knew what I was talking about for the badge and I proved that I have all the prereqs.
So this went back in forth like tug of war. But tug of war quickly escalated into war.
EP: "EVEN IF YOU HAVE THE REQUIREMENTS YOU ARE JUST A STUPID KID AND DONT KNOW ANYTHING" or something along the lines of that.
Me: "WELL CLEARLY YOUR DUMBER THAN ME IF YOU NEED ME TO EXPLAIN THE MATERIAL YOU DUMB ASSHOLE"
EP: "you need to learn to resect your elders"
Me: "well most elders are smart, clearly you are a rock"
She actually grabbed me and pushed me out of the door to the first aid training.
Me: "GET YOUR GRIMY, WRINKLY, FILTHY HANDS OFF OF ME YOU CUNT"
after I got the head leader of the camp, she reluctantly gave me my blue card. (Blue cards show you got the actual badge fair and square.
Final day rolls around and I get my envelope with all my blue cards. I had them all with flying colors...... Except for one.
Hi welcome back to (insert game show here) and let's see our question.
"What badge was missing from the envelope?"
B: first aid
C: leather working
If you guessed B you would be correct
Well...... It wasn't missing. It was SHREDDED UP and a piece of white paper that said "GROW UP"
I. was. furious.
I grabbed my scoutmaster dragged him along to the first aid site and let her get a piece of my mind. She denyied it left and right and even had the audacity to say "why would it be little ol' me".
SM: ma'am, we know it was you. You we have camera's for YPT but they catch everything.

Different types of badges were part of the game since TBC and reached its best form in Mists of Pandaria: you could work towards your goal and buy heroic level gear, you could spend them to increase ilvl and reforge stats that are bad for your class, you could convert them to honor and buy entry level pvp gear without being smashed on a battlegrounds/arena (hello templates and broken pvp scaling).
So in MoP we had only 2-3 currencies as I remember: dungeon badges (?), raid badges and honor.
Blizzard told that its incredibly hard for new players to understand how to use them and where to get them and removed badge system entirely in WoD (?).
That's what we have in bfa:
So in total we have 9 different currencies (may be more because I skipped almost entire BFA). Good job blizzard and Ion Hazzikostas! Glad that this trend continues in Shadowlands with even more currencies and grind systems because you achieved your goal - new players don't have problems with your system because there are no new players.
I couldn’t stop myself. It was the Amsterdam Layover episode. I’ve idolized Anthony Bourdain for my entire adult life since I was about 17 (15 years ago). The lifestyle, the travel, the sex and rock and roll, the food, and, of course, the booze. It’s so romanticized on his shows. It’s poetry. He was sitting out on a patio drinking and eating in the sun, shooting the shit with his companion, and I decided that I wanted that. I wanted to drink and to munch on food and shoot the shit on a patio in the Chicago summer. I haven’t done it once this entire summer. And so I got ready and we went out and that’s exactly what we did. I had four heady beers over the course of about three hours. I ate some fried chicken tenders and hand cut fries in between sips. I got pretty tipsy. I told one of my bartenders that I was on my 101st day without booze, so we decided together that we won’t have the usual Jameson shots together. I didn’t pick up my usual six pack on the way home. I drank a ton of water and hung out on the couch watching the rain before bed. I don’t know how I feel about this slip up. I don’t know what’s going to happen to me. This is my post so I’m held accountable for what I did. I want to be honest with this community this time, and in turn, honest with myself. I want to make it to another 100 days again. I’m going to read This Naked Mind. Back to day 1. Wish me luck.
Edit: The support that has been brought to the table in your comments is something to truly appreciate. Today is a critical day of reflection for me and the pieces of mind and tidbits of advice and knowledge you’re sharing are exactly what I needed, whether I knew it or not. This is what this community is all about.
