I really hate Alabama, and there's nothing to do over there anyways. Wish they told me sooner, the application didn't list Alabama. I'd rather just look around for another job tbh...

Reasons for picking Robert Mathis- The story of Robert Mathisβs journey to stardom is arguable one of the most incredible in recent football history. Coming out of high school in Atlanta in 1999, he received no scholarship offers from any FBS programs and had to fight to secure the last scholarship available at Alabama A&M, a historically black university and the only school Mathis contacted that would allow him to play his preferred position of defensive end. At Alabama A&M, Mathis was a 4-year starter who immediately made an impact, later becoming a captain and winning the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2002. That same year, Mathis also set an NCAA Division 1-AA single-season record with 20 sacks. However, concerns over Mathisβs size (He stood 6β2 and weighed 235 pounds), as well as the quality of the teams he played, would cost him in the NFL Draft process. He was not invited to the Combine or Senior Bowl and would ultimately fall to the 5th round of the 2003 NFL Draft. The Indianapolis Colts ultimately took a chance on him, having previously drafted another undersized defensive end, Dwight Freeney, in the 1st round the year before.
Starting his career in Indianapolis as a rotational player, Mathis played less than 20 percent of the Colts defensive snaps in 2003, but still managed to put up 3.5 sacks, 20 tackles and 3 forced fumbles. He broke out in 2004, finishing second on the team in sacks (10.5) and leading in forced fumbles (6). Mathis officially established himself as the Colts best pass-rusher in 2005, leading the NFL in forced fumbles (8) and leading the Colts in sacks (11.5) despite missing 3 games due to injury. He also set a Colts franchise record by recording a sack in 8 consecutive games. After the season, Mathis signed a 5-year, $30 million contract extension with the Colts and subsequently led the 2006 Colts in sacks (9.5) and tackles for loss (13) as they won their first Super Bowl in 34 years. Following an injury-shortened season in 2007, Mathis began a stretch of 5 Pro Bowl appearances over the next 6 years, including leading the NFL in sacks (19.5) in 2013 and earn
